Incredibly dissappinted in the time line of this place. Ive finally concluded today is my last visit ever. When they were located across from the present fire station, Original Steak and Hoagie was my absolute favorite. Then they relocated and found new ownership - let the rapid downward spiral commence - the Buffalo Chicken was never the same. Dont get me wrong, its still pretty tasty but dont lower the quality and inflate the price. A few years later (and less frequent stops) the price goes up again. Considering the local competition that use more ingredients, offer larger portions, and operate on better hours, youd think S&H would rethink their menu and pricing. Heres to the memories when they were on their A game.

This is my go-to for a great sandwich. The beef steaks are consistently good, and I love that I can order double or triple meat easily and cheaply. The prices are crazy low for the amount and quality of the food you get - $7-8 for a double-meat fully-loaded 11 inch sandwich! Every item is made to order, so expect to wait about 10-15 mins after ordering while they saute your peppers, cook the steak, and toast the bread. Call in your order ahead for fast pickup. Beyond the amazing beef, the chicken steaks are very good- theres just as many options for great toppings here. I also recommend the buffalo chicken salad (the hot sauce isnt overly spicy; closer to a cholula than a sriracha taste) for a lighter meal.

This place is highway robbery. They are so overpriced and their food tastes worse than McDonalds. I paid 6 dollars for a small soup and a soda. Are you kidding me? This place has totally gone downhill and should be put out of business. Not only is it hideous to look at (it only has two tables), dirty (there is a shut down ice cream station) and has terrible customer service, but the food isnt even good anymore. Their chicken looks dirty and their rolls are stale. GO TO BAGEL STREET INSTEAD. Worth the money there and their food is amazing!

As someone who works right in the heart of Philadelphia (Center City), I have easy access to a variety of philly cheesesteaks. Original Steak & Hoagie, while different than a normal philly cheesesteak, is by no means inferior. No need to order "wit wiz" or "witout" here, the menu is entirely unique (theres even a buffalo chicken cheesesteak that is very popular). Even though this place closes relatively early, the offerings are as delicious as they are diverse. Dont hesitate to visit. It will be worth your time.

The business is no frills but thats not what I want in a sandwich place. The sandwiches are awesome thanks in part to their fresh bread. There is also the waiting around part for your food, there is really no place to sit in their big open "dining" room, so you just stand around for 5 minutes or so while you wait. I have found that its better to call in your order and just pick it up.

Sandwich size is HUGE! Reasonable prices. Wings were pretty good too! $10 minimum on credit cards. But thats pretty easy to get around. Grab a big sandwich and a drink and youre just over $10. Only downside is that there is basically no seating. Theres a little window bar with approximately 3 stools which seem to be always taken when I go. So plan on taking your food out. :)

You wont find a sub sandwich this good for this price anywhere else. When you place your order, youll find that there seems to be no system of organization here. Youll have to stand around in a big empty room confused and wait for a long time, but once the food comes, youll be happy! Ive never had a better italian sub, and the portions are huge for the price.

5-star for the food. Buffalo chicken cheesesteak was on point! Stools were wobbly and not too safe. I asked for most popular item, girl said "buffalo chicken cheesesteak". Now I know why its most popular. Next time I get a couple pounds of wings.
