“average food except Karimeen Tawa Fry (Pomfret grilled) Rajni has shifted to a new location near to khan market. this review is based on my 2 dining out there in the last couple of weeks. We went there on 17 and 25 Apr. We waited for 10 minutes to get the table. as usual, like any typical Telugu restaurant, it has too only 2 servers trying to manage 8-10 tables so get used to slow service. in first dining, we ordered Karuveppilai Iral Masala (Prawn), Karimeen Tawa Fry (Pomfret grilled) and chicken fried rice. Pomfret was really amazing. Prawn appetizer and fried rice was not good. Service was slow. if you want quite a place, then this is not the one. in my 2nd dining, we order Indian food this time. again pomfret, mutton sukha, mix vegetables, dal tadka and one kothu paratha. Started were good but lets talk abt sabzi. how can some restaurant cook wrong dal tadka? I specially asked for spicy dal tadka and all it was plain moong dal with one red chilly, not at all spicy. i even asked waiter to make it spicy and all he come up with chopped green chillies in dal. disgusting. mix vegetables was mix with egg plant and drumstick. thats it. horrible. Rajni is good for starters only I guess. no Chinese no Indian food for sure.

Food is not so great for the price you pay. I have ordered chicken, gobi manchurian, chilli chicken and fried rice from here. The manchurian is no where near the real deal. Its some bland sauce with tons of ground black pepper. Fried rice was good. Chili chicken in an authentic indo-chinese fusion cuisine has lots of bell pepper and hot chilis with dark sauce. The one rajni offers is red and loaded with crushed red pepper. Thats not the Chinese food I grew up eating in India. I also once had a veg thali for lunch. It was good. The variety was impressive and taste was good. It sucks that they do not offer Thalis for dinner. The staff was good and respectful. Food quantity is decent. Ambience......zero points for that. It used to be a raj bhog restaurant and all they have done is rearrange the furniture. I guess their main selling point is their authentic hyderabadi cuisine and not a swanky ambience.

Tasty food, BUT, ஆனா!!! Authentic south Indian food. My all time favorite is Toamto or Onion or Tomato Onion Uthappam. Afternoon meals is very good with lot of items in menu. Rest room is always neat. Oh wait, but the restroom in new place (since they moved last year) is just ok, thats because its a contested place. "Only thing I dont like is the wait time". They make you wait till next Christmas (thats how my wife described)! So always the best way is to order before you reach restaurant. So there wont be delays. Old place was very good, the new place is ok, they didnt make any alterations since Mysore Woodlands vacated the place. Overall, a good place to have food with friends and family.

I havent eaten so much in long time.... I was just there for lunch. Enjoyed the food. The service was good. Ambiance...so so, I guess they are trying to create somewhat of authentic look or just opened. I went back again last week. The food was little disappointing. The fish in the Fish Curry was really bad. And the biriyani I ordered for the dinner, wasnt that good. There was about 3 pieces of chicken in a biriyani thats worth $13. Lowering the rating. Best of Rajni is their Veg/Non-Veg Thali!!! They have become somewhat busy these days...but 1 person working during lunch hours handling everything...not so encouraging! Update: they have done a great job of improving the place...

Food is OK. But, what I do not like about this place is that, they say 10% discount for orders below 15$ and 15% for above 15$. I have been buying food from this place since it started. But, NEVER they volunteer to give that discount without reminding. Every time, I hold the cash in hand and ask them how much the total is? and the answer is always the full price. Every time I have to point at the board which say the discount. Couple of dollars will not make a difference. But, it annoys me when deliberately forget the discount thing. Only reason I force myself to this place is that my wife likes the biryani. If not, I would never step at this place.

Last day I went here with one of my friends recommendation. Me & my husband went for lunch. Its little crowded and the place is so neat and tidy. I ordered non veg thaali . Their weekend highlight was spl biriyani and Karimeen pollichathu. It was just mouthwatering and was of good presentation. We waited a little bit for the food but it was quiet worthy. Atmosphere was quite good and food there was appetizing and service was good. Had great weekend. Great value for money and in budget. I prefer this place for good Indian food in Parsippany.

I ordered chicken Biryani. First of all the price of Indian food at all restaurants in USA is very high. It is not worth for that much. In case of this restaurant even after paying almost 13 dollar, the Chicken Hyderabadi biryani was pathetic in taste. They put 2 chicken pieces which were not even marinated. Spices taste in Biryani was very bad. The gravy which comes with biryani was horrible. look like they do not have any proper chef to cook their food. I will never go there again.

Rajni is one of the best authentic good quality restaurant you can find in morris county. It has huge variety of distinct items that you cannot find elsewhere - andhra kara dosa, arthikaya (plantain) bajji, podi idli etc. I am vegetarian - but when I took my visiting friends to Rajni they were amazed by chicken biryani quality. All in all a very homely kind food, service at a very reasonable cost. Would like to see them with a banquet hall so we can host parties there.

Coming from the city famous for its Briyani, when I came to US, always thought about this - Will I get good Biriyani in US? Fortunately I found Rajni Restaurant and over the 5 years they are serving THE BEST BRIYANI in the state. With multiple tasteful appetizers, authentic dishes, dosas, Chinese options and most importantly very pleasing staff, one will always love to go this restaurant. I am not an exception :) go for it if you want to taste good food!!!

Pathetic service !! They took 55 minutes to serve us the food and did not bring the apetizer even after we were done with the dinner. Guys be careful about the prices because they charged us almost 30 percent extra and when we asked them he gave a foolish reply that they have old prices in the menu cards and this was not less the person on the cash register was too rude... horrible experience !!

I have very bad experience and never faced this any other places. Normally If you order egg biryani, they will give veggie rice with boiled eggs. Here they will give common rice which is actually coocked with chicken, but they took-off chicken pieces while serving. They are saying this is the common way we serve here. They dont even serve it hot, just served like that. Please aware of this.
