Comparing lots of Indian restaurants around the area, I believe Bollywood Tadka might be placed in the top 3 closely fighting for each other. I must say that the food is very authentic that I, for one, really enjoyed. Their Northwestern Indian cuisine really speaks to you somehow and thats how I felt. Theres one thing though - They outline that the stereotype in Indian Cuisine of the assumption of all the cuisine being hot and spicy is fabricated and falsified... that is true unless you make it obvious or even slightly jokingly that you want your food as spicy as humanly possible (and they will serve upon those words.) I had the food for takeout, so I didnt stay for too long. However, the host/waiter in the dining area was very friendly and answered any questions my friend had about the food. There werent any negatives about the people working here and the service was very sincere. This is positively common with many Indian restaurants Ive been to, so this is nothing beyond the norm. Overall, everything checks out. I cant give "excellent" or "stellar" ratings because I was definitely not warned of how "as spicy as humanly possible" the food can get. While its great that the place looks like it has a good vibe, something tells me that anything can wreck the place with all of those speakers and buffet carts out there. As a last comment, just remember not to boast about how spicy you can eat... you just might get your lifes ultimate culinary wish.

I am very picky and have tried many Indian restaurants and this still is my favorite. The service and the owner are beyond friendly every time I come in. My friends and I always get extra food and additional things we didnt order for free. Came in for lunch one day and even though we ordered from the menu, they let us also have buffet food to try free of charge. Then kept bringing us extra naan. Even threw in free mango lassis. It is always a pleasure going there! The food is amazing. My favorites are butter chicken, chicken korma, and chicken saag. And they are always accommodating if you need something altered. By far, best place around. I always leave there feeling full and happy from the service! Place is also clean and has an inviting atmosphere!

Disappointed!!! The food tasted wonderful, but I specifically asked if the tandoori chicken came with rice and was told yes. When it arrived, there was no rice! I called them back and they made it seem like it was my misunderstanding being that Im not Indian. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. I love Indian food A LOT and was very disappointed in their customer service. Might I add I was told their delivery charge was $4 or $5. What do you mean or? Ill only be eating at the buffet if I feel like going there

I went to the restaurant ordered chicken tikka masala, the food was cold, distasteful, I suspect they are serving frozen foods which are readily available. I then ordered some tikis for my kids and they turned out to be even more horrible...I am pretty sure they were also frozen ones available in Indian Grocery stores. On asking the owner started arguing..worst experience of my life. Beware of these rip offs........as they charge heavily for that crap they serve.

This is my default go-to Indian restaurant. The staff are always friendly, helpful and occasionally give extras like wine for my gal and I or even free desserts. The food is great, although it seems to depend day to day on which chef works. Ive noticed some cook it slightly different, but its all good in the end. My favorite meal combo is getting the bollywood special combined with from the tandoor, they go together well and are plenty of food for two.

I got a take out order and there was a screw baked into my naan bread! Luckily I saw it and didnt swallow it!! Went back with the screw and said I wanted my money back, and at first they were trying to only give me $10 back on a $38 order! Ridiculous! I get that accidents happen, but their kitchen must be disgusting if they allow a screw to get in the food! Calling the health department- dont eat here.

The best experience I have ever had in any restaurant. We ate here on a whim while visiting the area and are bummed we dont live here to be able to come back more often. Our server was a truly generous, heartfelt man who obviously poured his soul into what he does. He was the human embodiment of radical hospitality. And the food? Pure magic. Something for every pallette.

Been going there regularly for years. With quite a few Indian restaurants in the area I consider this one to be the best. Their buffet is large enough to provide a great meal for vegetarians as well as meat lovers. They have great customer service and the chef will work with you to create a dish that youll love.

This is authentic North Indian Style Restaurant. I have been there numerous time with family as I live in EB. Very good food and reasonable priced. Multiple options both for Veg and Non-Veg. I highly recommend this place if you have not tried. I am not aware if there is any other Indian Restaurant in EB.

Absolutely agree with Pooja,s review. Nothing very authentic about their dishes. Its ok I guess if you are not an ethnic person as everything will taste ok but those of us who know how to cook authentic food this place is not for me. Extensive use of food colors is not very healthy let alone the taste

Great Indian food at very reasonable prices. Vegetarian, chicken, lamb, beef, goat, and seafood categories. The garlic naan is amazing. Service with a smile and never a bad experience. My personal go-to spot for Indian food in the East Brunswick / South River / Spotswood area.

Amazing place and amazing people. This indian restaurant embraces their culture and delivers great food all the while welcoming and appreciating their customers. My boyfriend says "paneer masala, chicken tika masala, paneer saag, lamb saag, chicken biryani."

Had lunch buffet today. Cant believe any restaurant would serve stinky food! Both vegetable biryani and special biryani were stinking, that too on a weekend. Management changed it. But the tikka was so cold and distasteful. Disgusting!! Never going back

Entered restaurant and waited to be seated. Waiter/owner saw me but ignored and went straight in to kitchen. Menu was not given to everyone at table. Naan was terribly burnt distasteful. Terrible service and food. Definitely will not come again.

Great Indian food. We moved slightly out of the delivery area but I find myself picking up all the time. Everything is delicious and the inside has an interesting feel to it as well. I recommend this page for good Indian eats.
