The decor inside was very old quaint. However the layout was not exactly ergonomic. There was an L-shaped wait station in the corner of the front room we were having a bridal shower in. The dishwasher was putting away dishes as our bride-to-be was opening her gifts. Not cool! The food was average... (I say this mainly because my spring mix salad was full of wilted slimy greens.) You can tell there was very little thought put into the salad, even though it was my main course. As a cry of redemption, the mushroom soup was quite good. But did not make up for having to dissect my salad before I ate it. The wait staff were incredibly sweet and accommodating. I do plan on going back for just a regular breakfast or lunch in the hopes of forming a better opinion. As I normally love these types of places! Im hoping I just had an uncharacteristically unimpressive experience. The other good reviews are enough to make me give it another try :-)

Our first visit to the new Hummingbird House was wonderful! We stopped in for breakfast and were totally satisfied. The eggs were prepared exactly as ordered and tasted so fresh. The multi-grain toast was also fresh and grainy and perfect. Ham and sausage patties were equally of high quality. And the coffee was the best weve had in a long time. Service was very pleasant and attentive and we enjoyed a welcome chat with Liz, the owner. Not to be overlooked was the delicious homemade apple pie jam that was recommended by our waitress, Jessie. We certainly will be returning often. The home is beautifully restored and immaculately clean, and the view from the back porch is peaceful and will be even better once Spring arrives. Dont miss this little gem! The lunch menu is also very appealing.

Went for Sunday brunch with a party of 11. We had reservations and they were able to seat us quickly. The old farmhouse feel was very quaint and inviting. The service was friendly but VERY slow. I hate fielding the "where is our food" question from the kids. However, once the food arrived nobody was complaining. My special sandwich sausage egg and cheese on blueberry French toast with blueberry sauce was simply amazing. (See picture). My whole party was extremely happy, from the omelettes, to the fluffy pancakes, and the freshly cut up fruit. There was no room for disappointment. Great place for any special occasion or just a romantic brunch. A must stop if in the area.

This place is beautiful, so quaint and lovely. The most important part...the food, is delicious. I had the Kielbasa breakfast, it had eggs over easy and home fries which had rosemary and pepper. The toast was gluten-free and tasty. The portion was absolutely perfect. I was fully satisfied and did not have to waste any food or over eat since the portion was truly made for one. My kids loved their pancakes with actual fresh chocolate chips. The sevice was excellent, friendly and inviting. Totally deserving of 5 stars.

This is a great place to go to; a very homey & peaceful setting to eat.. staff was friendly & happy to take your order.. breakfast was outstanding.. highly recommend any item on the menu as all are fresh & prepared with care... had a great egg dish with all the trimmings cooked perfect & the coffee is the best I have had in a long time & be sure & have a piece of the "Moms Coffee Cake". Just go... you will be happy you did & will become a steady customer.. youll see :)

Ate a wonderful breakfast at the Hummingbird House restaurant in Fredon. Quaint, unique and one of a kind! Love this place! The entire restaurant has been renovated and looks amazing. Bright and cheery and homey feel about it. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Worth the trip and reasonably priced. The view from the back porch is awesome.

Lunch was very special and very gourmet! Loved the fried green tomatoes with dill sauce appetizer...the cheddar bacon burger on a pretzel roll with syrupy sauce....the corn salad ...the coleslaw ...and the amazing desserts: key lime pie and chocolate chip cookie kalua cake. Service was 5star also! Cannot wait to return!!!

Unless you have not experienced this place you can not make comments , the staff is so amazing with not only the service but about the history of the home , the owner has always been there and works as hard as the staff , the food is above and beyond what a five star gives , love this amazing place

Like Visiting Grandma! Lol This place has a warm home-y vibe, felt welcomed and nostalgic somehow. Food was so good, Im a Carnivore and tried the Quinoa Burger... & it was delicious! Went for brunch there are different dining spaces... Would recommend!

Quiet quaint building hiding a gem of a restaurant within! Very quiet on a weekday morning, but the staff was friendly, the service impeccable, and the food delicious. Wonderful place with a nice view out the back.
