we LOVE this place, cozy, friendly staff, friendly clients, intimate space -amazing food and reasonable prices, from the soups to salads to interesting mix of entrees and wonderful desserts, old farmhouse 2 floors of cuteness, without any kitsch - always good to call in advance, its has a good rep w/weekenders AND locals . also has a B+B next door which i havent seen yet [we have a farmhouse nearby] Also has interesting photography and art on the walls. my favs: thai pulled pork sandwich, some great dumplings russian /eastern euro style, i havent tried the dish "Putins Tears" but i love the name -oh and ganache and apple puff tarts.. and there is a gorgeous river rolling behind it, stone bridge and outdoor cafe tables and lanterns, in + out an all around great place

I love the place and go there regularly. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly. The menu has a wide range of choices for both food and drinks and can accommodate any taste (from timid and conservative to wild and neurotic) and mood (from depressed to ecstatic). The interior is decorated with truly artistic imagination and has ever changing expositions of local or overseas artists. The service is informal, but usually very efficient and non-obtrusive. The crowd is friendly, relaxed and emanates joy and love for a good meal, drink and life as a whole! Just go there to re-charge you batteries for a very reasonable price!

All of the food is simply delicious. Dont miss out. Quaint atmosphere, extremely friendly staff, stellar drink/beer selection. Update: after coming here for a second time, I am doubling down. Just take a look at all of the other reviews. No one is exaggerating. Honestly one of the best dining experiences you can have. If its warm outside, make sure to sit by the river that runs right underneath the establishment.

Lovely setting by the brook, friendly service, great food. We had venison burger, sausage and "Putins Tears" herring, all of which we can definitely recommend. The gallery inside can be a hit or miss; one floor was interesting, the other had quite poor quality landscapes, not something you want to see in the 21st century. Hope to come back many times.

Peaceful. We sat outside by the little brook, but the inside was also warm and quiet. The Russian-style food was not your average pub or American fare which we were getting sick of when trying to eat off the highway. Service was awesome, not pushy and had lots of local info. Also.. only 5 minutes off highway 17.

Great food, great taste, and incredibly warm hearted owners. They are set in a paradise in the middle of nowhere in the Catskills. Do not even have a sign off the highway leading to them, but if you are in the Catskills area and are driving, google it up. You will not regret the food and company. Cheers

Wonderful charming, quirky little place, with a great menu (Russian themed!) and warm, friendly staff. Theres a little outside seating area down by the creek which is extremely pleasant. This is the perfect spot for recharging on a long drive, or after a hike.

Very picturesque spot overlooking a running river. The food is high quality and very tasty. I had a gost cheese omelette which was wonderful and the others had panini sandwiches. I highly recommend.
