So its mothers day today&i thought why not take my son out to eat. I ordered a quesadilla& an apple juice for us. i specified apple juice was for my son. 1st mistake was they brought me apple juice in a wine glass for a 7yr old yr boy whos autistic. 2nd Mistake was i specifically asked for the whole black beans because my son doesnt eat mushed beans(because of the texture) Then as my son was eating i guess he made movement or touched the glass& it slid off the table&shattered&ppl were lookin at us as if we were crazy,now u have to understand&take into consideration my son is autistic&wasnt aware how slippery that table was&wasnt payin attention to the glass because he was eating.the glass was in front of him somehow it shattered behind him&his pants got wet,to top it off he didnt even drink the juice they didnt even bother asking for a refill.which i understand its apple juice .after i was done i asked was i still being charged being though he got no refill&didnt even drink the juice& they were being assholes about it. So i get the check even after explaining his situation&they were charging me,so i requested to speak to a manager which i didnt ask whats her name&she asks whats the problem with a snobby attitude so i explained to her &she got an attitude rolls her eyes&said we will just give you the money back so i cursed at her because she was very unprofessional.how dare u act this way towards a paying customer.it was my 1st time &her rudeness made it a bad experience for me. Now why if my meal was 12.95 i end up gettin charged over 17$all i had was a quesadilla meal&a water which is free she has the nerve to say didnt u look at the menu before ordering very nasty about it. i dont recommend people with children to go eat there.food was good but waiters didnt get my order right&manager was very rude.

My girlfriend and I went here one night for dinner and I was very happy with everything! Our server was fantastic, very friendly, very helpful, and very fast. We never felt like we were waiting, and he was friendly and welcoming above and beyond what was required. It was obvious he took pride in providing good service and was not just going through the motions to make his pay. My girlfriend had something that consisted of Shrimp wrapped in bacon and stuffed with cheese and sausage. It was delicious, I tried some and thought it was great. I had the Burrito al Pastor and it was fantastic as well. The guac and pico de gallo were great as well. The Nachos Piquin appetizer we had was good, and it wasnt just nachos thrown on a plate - they were each delicately decorated with the ingredients mentioned on the menu and the serving was appetizer appropriate. Someone took great care in making these look and taste wonderful rather than just throwing a bunch of yummy crap on a plate with some chips. At the end of the night, this plus two bottled cokes and an iced tea came to only about $40, so it wasnt overpriced at all either. I would highly recommend this place. The selection is amazing!! There are so many options and they all sounded delicious.

Called and ordered for two LUNCH combinations (The Maria and Frida), was supposed to be charged 9.99 each meal as its states on there website. Went into pick it up and was charged 34.95$. I proceeded to ask why I was charge nearly double, the manager states that their online prices are different from their actual prices yet it still was the same. All I wanted was to have lunch as was literally trying to be robbed by very inappropriate and unprofessional restaurant employees. Not only will I not eat there again I will make sure everyone that mentions the place and that every review friendly site including MONTCLAIR WATERCOOLER (they wont be able to delete my review there) will know that they are criminals.

Food was great, Nachos Machos were excellent the Nachos were served in the authentic manner in which it is pretty much pieces of fried hard tortilla with cheese Jalepenos and choice of protein. i.e. steak, chicken or pork. Service was good and went during dinner time and didnt feel as if the tables were on top of each other as in other places. I had the Burrito with Pork Al Pastor in the spicy sauce which was a perfect combination. FYI no alcohol served. I didnt ask but could be BYOB

Been Mexican is very hard for us to find a good Mexican restaurant,casa pequin was a very good experience food is fresh,service was great and the chef and owner Ivan Lopez a well educated chef welcomed us with a different plates of Mexican tapas,my wife had duck carnitas she loved I had churasco cook to perfection,we sure recommended you all should come here and enjoy the true flavor of the Mexican cuisine....

I was Charged twice Saturday 6/24/2017 on my credit card, Ive called 4 times to get manager to fix it but he has not returned my calls. Spoke to Anel she told me she would fix it instead she changed the amount of the charge and never removed the additional charge. I will be calling my credit card company to disputed the charges. I wont be returning here again.

I visited Casa Piquin for a party with a large group. They were accommodating and friendly. They are BYO and offer margarita mix and sangria mix (red and white), so be sure to bring your own tequila or wine. The food came out in a timely fashion and was delicious. My shrimp fajitas were fantastic.

Ehhhhh food is overpriced skirt steak looks more like bistec. Very small portions. BYOB but they charge you $9 for a miniature pitcher of sangria mixer. The only thing I truly enjoyed was the chimi sauce. But other than that. SKIP THE TRIP. Check out taqueria in Jersey city.

Food is excellent and perfect portions. Prices are very reasonable for the area. Try the guacamole - its delicious. FYI, its a BYO restaurant so dont forget some beers or a bottle of wine if you want a drink.

Great food. Was really busy the night we went.. 2/3 larger parties plus catered event at the venue upstairs and appeared understaffed and still provides excellent service and wonderful food

The food was good. Nothing amazing. The restaurant looked great, but the live mariachi band was way too loud to enjoy anything. Liked the idea, the execution was just bad.

Authentic Mexican Cuisine at reasonable prices. Atmosphere of restaurant was very inviting and intimate. Good menu with plenty of variety. Chips and salsa were good too.
