Food here is great but unfortunately they dont handle busy nights well. When they get slammed with business their service and common sense fall by the waist side. We recently tried out their delivery option and needless to say we will not be using this service again. After giving the order to the phone hostess, she asks for the address. As I tell her the address she seems to have trouble hearing because of the restaurants noise level so I SPELL out the street slowly and clearly since its a name that has multiple spellings and can be mixed up with a similar sounding street. The order was estimated to arrive in 1hr, a bit long but still understandable. After 1.5hrs we call to find out what the delay is and they tell us the restaurant is slammed, apologize, and promise the food will arrive shortly. At the 2hr mark, we received a call from the delivery driver only to find out that he is on the wrong street because the hostess had gotten the spelling incorrect despite the efforts to prevent this very problem. We call the restaurant in order to report the issue to the manager and this is the point that Im most disappointed in this establishment. Its clear that the delay, lack of communication with the patron regarding the delay, and the poor performance of the hostess were all fails on their part yet all they could offer was excuses, apologies, and false promises of delivery times. Any decent business manager should know that when things go this badly, they need to pull all the strings to rectify the disappointed patrons. Either offer the food on the house, a voucher for next time, or throw in some free guacamole- anything! But nope, just "sorry." Finally the food arrives 2.5 hours from the time of ordering. The driver was genuinely apologetic (obviously not his fault). He even assumed the food was comped and was just as surprised when we told him that wed still be paying full price. At last we sit down to eat our now cold dinner thinking all the troubles were over, HA! We open our order to find out were short a taco. My goodness! As much as weve loved this establishment, we will no longer be patrons because of our this terrible experience. Good food is important but so is quality service.

The set up for this place is a little confusing when you walk in... a sign points you in the right direction. You place your order at a window in the back then seat yourself, but theres a waiter who takes your drink order and delivers your food. We sat at the bar that is not mexican themed, i.e. No margaritas or modelo with lime. (Totally what I was hoping for around here!) The food did take a while but that wasnt the problem, everything tasted a little cold and pre-prepped. Tortilla chips are TOO greasy. Hate writing bad reviews but I was disappointed.

Love this place! Ive been here a half dozen times since it opened and Ive been thrilled every time. All the tacos are incredible (steak is the best) and the salsa bar is varied and tasty. The owner Greg is always there when I go in, and hes super friendly and genuinely interested in feedback, and in making sure you have a great experience. This is my new favorite lunchtime spot in Montclair....

The Freshest and Most Delicious Mexican Food Ive had in Years..!!! I feel like Im right back in Tijuana when I used to live in SOCAL and cross the border for food just like this..!!! Wonderful Food, Fantastic and Fun People, and after talking to people who work there I cant wait for the Nice weather and the Outside Seating..!!! I found my new favorite place..!!!

Today is the first time that I tried this place cause Ive been looking for a good taco spot since I moved up to north jersey. THIS PLACE IS SLAMMIN!!!! The owner is extremely cool and knows how to make a good taco. The waitress is also super chill and offers solid service. They have definitely gained a regular customer

What a great addition to the neighborhood. Not only can you get some seriously good Mexican food, but you can have a drink while doing so. The food is great, the music is a good mix of classic rock, and the bar is evolving from locals-only to family-friendly, but still has a nice edge. Bring the kids and an appetite.

You order your food and then find an available seat. Food was good, but no air conditioning . On a day that was 95 outside, it was tough to sit, even under ceiling fans. Not to mention the sour cream and cheeses sitting out at the toppings bar. Took 30 min for takeout order and the place wasnt packed.

Good authentic style Mexican food. Strange location. Its in an old train station and adjacent to a dive bar, complete with patrons who look like theyve been at the bar all day. Still, not too sketchy to bring the family.

Finally made it here and really liked the chicken tacos and carnitas tacos! Also the beans were surprisingly amazing. Fun place to hang out and eat some yummy food -- will definitely come back.

Delicious!!! The rice and beans are not only a side, they are a shining main accompanied by meat or veg (your choice). Great chips and flavorful guacamole. Toppings bar a nice option.
