The best subs around this area! Unlike another reviewer I think their bread is awesome; fresh, soft and a nice big size. The amount of filling in each sub is like the old days. Plenty of meat, cheese, and all the toppings that go on a traditional sub. Plus, they have several unusual subs, (including breakfast subs) that you wouldnt find in most other places. I always ask for extra this, extra that, skip one thing skip another (you know, one of those annoying customers) ... they always accomodate me, every single time. Ive been ordering from them since the 80s and I dont think they ever got an order wrong!! I have tried lots of other sub shops, but nobody beats DA!!

By far the best subs in the area. Ive been going here for years and Ive never been disappointed. Their half subs are bigger than most whole subs youd get at Wawa or Subway and all around $5-$6. Their ingredients are fresh, their meat is sliced right in front of you, and they never skimp on anything. All the employees are friendly and fantastic sandwich makers. Make sure to bring cash, they dont accept cards.

Huge, subs, huge. They taste very good, the ingredients are very fresh. Only cash, so make sure you bring some. Fair price for the size. Delicious, could use some new ingredients maybe some different spreads, like chipotle mayo, basil mayo, etc. I like to see a slight evolution of the product, that being said its one of the better Sub shops around. 88% rating.

Yes its better than subway. But its not much better. As everyone knows, the bread makes the sandwich. And here, the bread sucks. But they do give a good amount of meats. Id rather go to double d on 516 for a good sub or go to tastees in Edison. Those two places are so much better.

Best subs in NJ! Not sure what another review meant regarding the bread. DA Subs bring in their bread for another NJ baker and the combination of the bread and the meats makes this one of the best sub shops in NJ

BEST SANDWICHES FOR YOUR DOLLAR! Local joint, doesnt take credit or debit but Owner Danny Adams has the best sandwich shop in the Bayshore. Breakfast sandwiches are the BEST!
