Figured it was time to write a review since Ive been a dedicated customer for over a year now, lol. I love love love LOVE the food offered by Sandwich Theory! Everything is always fresh and the variety of food they offer is great. My faves are their Blackened Chicken Salad and their Chicken Noodle Soup. Their oatmeal and salads are also amazing. The staff is super friendly and will help you out with any questions you have. I love that you can eat in as well and the environment is really great for a quick lunch or lunch date. My only complaints are the following and they arent really complaints: they get VERY busy during your traditional 12 noon lunch hour so you can expect a small 10-15 min wait (which isnt bad honestly - they move fast) and they dont deliver for any order under $15 but that seems to be the trend in Montclair. Overall they have great food and great service which makes this one of the few places where prices feel fair. This is definitely a place to try when youre in the area.

I love this place! Its my first time here and I stopped in after reading a sign on their door claiming they had turkey chilli; they did indeed and it was amazing! Besides that, I only got a cup of coffee (vanilla; also quite great) but the service is wonderful and ambience welcoming (I particularly liked the choice of music). The rest of the food looks appetizing and I cant wait to eat here again!

This place rocks. The sandwiches are creative, well portioned and really, really savory. Their order system and checkout is also well organized and set-up - no long lines or waits. The space itself is not large, so if youre dining in, be prepared for waiting for a table during peak hours. Otherwise, this is one of the best lunch spots in the area for quick, casual dining.

I wanted a breakfast sandwich without bread since Im doing low carb, and they wanted to charge me a dollar more. I asked why and they said because its on a plate. I was asking for no more food and was trying not to waste and throw out bread, and getting charged more for it. Shame on you! Poor customer service and I will never go back there.

Nice, bohemian vibe. Feels like a Williamsburg Brooklyn Cafe. Now about the food, fresh, well crafted sandwiches. The food tastes likes someone sourced everything well and thought about the flavors. Fresh baked goods and salads, cool drinks. Many organic ingredients. You can taste the difference.

Sandwich Theory is under new management for the last 6 months or so. They truly understand the meaning of fresh and healthy. I stop by every time we are in the area. If i was a student at Montclair, i would have lunch at Sandwich Theory almost every day. You will not be disappointed.

First visit and I will definitely be back. It was a bit crowded but because it was lunch time. The wait was less than 10 minutes. There were cookies samples while we waited. The staff is super friendly and the daily specials menu is awesome.

Probably one of the best sandwiches I ever had. Grilled chicken with avocado, bacon, and pepper jack. The cucumber salad is amazing as well. Wish they had a closer location to me. Wait was quick and cashier was friendly and efficient.

Good prices for great sandwiches. Not your regular ham and cheese. Typical specials include grilled chicken and chorizo with pesto mayo sandwiches. Usually 3 soup daily selection too.
