i took my family for dinner on Monday evening ,when we arrived the outside tables were only half filled. we were told the wait was about twenty minutes. we went to the bar to be served eventually by diedre who told the patron next to me that was trying to help us get her attention that she was busy and we would have to wait. ( not im so sorry please give me a moment) we paid for our drinks , and after being there for thirty minutes the hostess came to the bar to tell us that the tables outside werent available but we could eat inside. (mind you its 940 on Monday evening.) after waiting at the table for fifteen minutes the waiter came over , we figured at this rate might as well order at once so we didnt have to wait again. we sat without anyone asking if we needed anything, finally i had to yell to a bus boy to bring us some bread. Eventually, the food arrived, we still had the bread dishes and i had to again ask for dishes for the food we were sharing. the food was delicious. but not worth the abuse. this restaurant acts like they are doing you a favor by serving you their food. they should rethink this attitude. the 2 stars are for the food. not the service or warm feeling you might getting spending your hard earned money at their establishment.

Those basic Meatballs with tricolor salad served as an appetizer special makes my Nona spin in her grave ....joking but truth is Angelos kitchen has it made "Sunday Sauce" as good if not a better than my Nonas. Staff at the bar always get it right and never fails to remember your libations before you even grab a seat...my favorites are Jason, RJ, Dierdra and Lauren. Always a busy bar crowd but the crew makes you feel like familia. Angelo the brains and handsome face behind operation gets it on all points. My favorite is the bone-in veal chop parmesan being another example of true excellence, Also, go for the expensive 30 day dry aged prime steak and save yourself from making the unnecessary trip to Peter Lugers, cause this kitchens porterhouse is off the hook and a value when you factor in the ridicules trip into Williamsburg. Kudos to Don Julio and Donny Brasco for proficient table service. Helps keep things interesting and professional. Go try

Ive been to Osteria on a few occasions in the past and was looking forward to returning. Sad to say that it was extremely disappointing. Starting with a waiter bringing out raw steaks wrapped in plastic that definitely made us decide against ordering steak to having to send a $44 Veal Milanese back because it was not chewable and had a strange taste to being up half the night with a horrible heartburn from what we did end up eating. The waiter was attentive and accommodating so cant complain about service but good service is definitely not enough to return. Look for other Italian options in the area.

Wonderful! Delicious food thats out of the ordinary....VERY attentive service...great specials....beautiful décor. We celebrated my birthday there and they made is very memorable...with fireworks in the dessert!!! I thought the food was spectacular (lobster gnocchi & braised beef in a pasta purse--- angelosi???), took home the leftovers and thoroughly enjoyed it the next day. I cant wait to go back. We are lucky to have this kind of restaurant in our neighborhood. I took a photo but I cant seem to attach it. 5 stars. TRULY OUTSTANDING! p.s. the tortoni dessert was awesome!

The feel of the restaurant is rustic/modern, but the old world music and dishes, brick oven wood chip smell and clientele feel like youve been happily transported back in time. The service and food quality is superb and the restaurant is very clean with an open kitchen layout. I highly recommend the cowboy ribeye for dinner and the broccoli rab/sausage sliders during their daily happy hour at the bar only. If your lucky and the weather cooperates, there is even an outside dining area and also an outside bar with seats. Enjoy!

First time there. terrible service. Got there for our reservation and sat down at 8:15 and did not receive our drinks until 9pm. Waiter messed up our order and insisted of telling us that we gave him the order wrong. Wow! Then whoever brought the dish out and realized that it wasnt our order gave us an attitude as well. Food was not good either. The halibut we have ordered was floating in lemon juice with some clams. Like drinking lemonade. Yuck! Ordered wine and he brought us a dirty glass. Really?

Awful, from the presentation of raw steaks on what looked like a cafeteria tray to the over priced just average food. We had a 5:30 reservation, they took us on time, but at 7:30 after I paid the bill and was still drinking my coffee the waiter told us that if we wanted to stay we would have to move to the bar. Should have told me that when I made the reservation or at lest when they seated us. Those cowards waited until after I paid the tab. Will never go back.

My family has been coming to this restaurant since it opened a few years ago and it never disappoints. The service is great, the food is fantastic, and the overall experience is phenomenal. From the hostesses, to the bartenders, to the waiters, even to the owners, the hospitality is beyond anything I have experienced from a restaurant in this area in a very long time. If you are looking for a night out, I would highly recommend Osteria.

The food is excellent! The portions are very fair. Very good wine list as well as fully stocked bar. Reservations are highly recommended. I have found the food to be consistently good. I always ask for Julio as a waiter. Leave room for dessert!

I have been to many restaurants in my life and without question this is one of the best . I got the meatballs as an appetizer reminded of my grandmothers. Food was fantastic and service was very good.

Service was good. Food was okay. Over priced considering quality of food. Gnocchi dish was horribly overcooked and over sauced. Shrimp in dish did not taste fresh. Definitely will not be returning.

Terrible service. Our server thought it was ok to be rude because we were only getting cocktails on a Tuesday night. Also, $15 for a glass of "Froze".... Totally ruined a date night
