NO STAR Their slogan: Experience best seafood. Where? Definitely not here. Upon arrival it was loud. It is a sport bar, so it’s expected. I seemed a little louder than the normal sports bar; maybe due to karaoke night. Our server arrived and stated it was happy hour. I ordered a LIT and asked if it wasn’t made properly could it be returned. Sure no problem. Glad I wasn’t in a rush, service was slow. Server returns and states it’s no longer happy hour, would I still like the LIT for $10. Sure. It was served in what reminded me of a Tom Collins glass. I wound up changing my drink to a glass of sangria, which wasn’t too bad. I guess it was worth the wait. We ordered our appetizers, crab claw clusters. I know its from the sea, but damn they smelled horrible. If I could have, would have. I should have stopped there. I ate one, it was overcooked, couldn’t get to the meat. After eating them I HAD to wash my hands because my hands smelled like I had them in my pants, digging in my *ss. The bathroom has a nice decor, but needed cleaning; paper on the floor. Everyone has been boasting about the crab cakes. Being cautious after the claws, I ordered the crab cake sandwich platter, which came with fries, coleslaw, and a pickle. It did have lump crab meat throughout, but I don’t understand all the hype. Ive had better. I picked at the crab cake and ate the fries. Prior to finishing my meal, we asked and waited for the check. The receipt had the signature line written in; odd. While sipping on my sangria and finishing my fries, low and behold what do I find underneath the fries on the plate; a damn hair. Not mine. Enough!! I ask the server for the manager. She comes over, and I explain my experience from the time I walked in the door. Then I show her my plate with the hair that I did not order. She was very apologetic and wanted to know if she could offer me another drink. No thank you. Then she says she can’t refund our money because the bill was already closed out. From the looks of the knock-off receipt I don’t even know if she would be able to do a refund; lose out on $50-$100 or customers I don’t know. I told her I would never come back nor recommend this place, and that I would be posting reviews. She asked if I wanted dessert and offered cheese cake. She goes to get the cheesecake and comes back to tell me they don’t have any, do I like carrot cake. Sure. She leaves and about 10 minutes later I approach her and ask if she forgot about me. “Oh, I got distracted.” She returns with the carrot cake and is happy to announce she gave me two slices. When I get the cake home, I poke at it with a fork, yeah one last chance, taste it; DRY. Last thing, when leaving a group of girls/ladies comes in, one says, ‘look at the ole heads in here… IvyStone Crab House & Sports Bar #neveragain #noreccommendation #notimpressed #firstandlast #hatedit #housebar

I decided to bring a few of my friends to a spot which I attended a few times, that I completely raved about, and I was in for a RUDE awakening. The usual bartender Ryan was not working but they had to females behind the bar that was the worst. The girl knocked over my water, I asked for a cheeseburger with provolone and she said they didnt have provolone so I asked for the menu again and she stood, not nicely asking me about cheddar mozzarella I asked her to give me a second and she walks away and never came back so when I asked the next bartender to place the order she asked me did I want provolone or some other type of cheese (wait a minute didnt I just ask her for provolone which she said they didnt have), we had to ask for silverware several times while our food was getting cold, we had to ask for drinks on numerous occasions, my friend asked for some type of sauce and she said she doesnt get that at the bar so ask the other person serving Wings, the crab cake which is usually very good was just ok, the girls gave up no type of apologies for the bad service and it was just a bad experience. I cant say I wont come back because Ryan is very good but if he is not there, Im walking out. I usually dont complain but the manager came over because she can clearly see our frustration so she offered up her apologies but these people need to know they cant just treat people who are paying for food and service just any type of way. Oh and the best part, I didnt ask for anything else, I just wanted my receipt so I can sign and get the hell out of there but my receipt was put in the water, that was knocked over ealier, which was never wiped up and then they couldnt reprint it. Just a classic night, smh... it was a lot more wrong but its just too much to write.

Ive been here twice since its been open and the first time we had a pleasant experience with an excellent waiter even though our food was cold. After my second visit today, My family wont be going back. When we arrived, There was no hostess so we were told by a waitress to sit wherever. We sat, waited a few minutes for menus and then waited for a waiter for at least 10-15 minutes to take our drink order. After that, no exaggeration, it took about 20 minutes to get drinks. We had no spoons for our coffee and we waited for about 5 minutes for a waiter (any waiter!!) to come by so I could ask for a spoon but that didnt happen so we resorted to using a fork to stir coffee. Food was at our table 20 minutes after ordering but it was COLD! My chicken panini was incredibly dry and just not appetizing. The chicken was like eating beef jerky. =( We had to ask for more utensils and my husband had asked for a coffee refill and a spoon but the waiter never come back with either. After we finished eating, we waited for what seemed like FOREVER to get the check. In fact, it wasnt until I stood up and started looking around that the host saw me and flagged the waiter but even then, we still waited an extra 10 minutes after that for the check. I actually started walking out the door with my kids before the waiter noticed us! Im just appalled by how terrible the food and service was. The diner needs to work on their service and needs to make sure they are serving HOT food. Unacceptable, especially for a newer restaurant!

So, we decided to try this place based on some Facebook reviews we saw, and I always wanted to have a good crab cake, which people seemed to rave about. We got there at prime lunch hour, and we should have known something was up, since there were only 3 tables full of people. I ordered a single crab crake appetizer, for $11.99, which was tasty...but a very small portion and not worth the price. I ordered an 8 oz. ribeye steak - medium, which came with a jumbo lump crab cake, baked potato and vegetables for $27.99. My wife ordered salmon with mango salsa, which also came with a baked potato and the same vegetables. The salads came out, and werent bad. My wife got a balsamic vinagarette dressing, which didnt taste right. Thirty minutes later, our food came out. My 8 oz ribeye steak was an 1/8th of an inch thick, completely overdone and leathery. My wife got her meal as well, but neither of us got our baked potatos. The waiter said they were still baking. Not being the type of person to send food back, I choked down the poor excuse for a steak and then finally, after about fifteen minutes, our baked potatoes came out. Of course now, they were too hot to eat and we had eaten most of our meals. The vegetables had a funny, grilled oily taste to them and my crab cake was cold. I decided to have dessert - coffee and creme brulee - which I must say was very good. But after being excited to go there, and having a poor excuse for a $70 lunch, I will never return.
