This is the worst place I have ever eaten. The service is ghetto, the staff are inappropriate calling each other bitches very loudly and very nasty and ignorant and theres always a fight with someone loud talking and cussing and threatening someone with a gun. Drunk club goers or ratchet hoodlums. Horrible facility and the bathroom is nasty and the manager is disgusting with a smart mouth and when she doesnt get her way or feels like she cant get nasty with you she calls her "god daughter" who is an Irvington police officer. Do not eat there. However the cheesecake is good.

Im from out of town. While trying to decide what to have for dinner, my aunt suggested a place called Dons. She said that on the weekends Dons held a soul food buffet. Well from where I come from, their or no soul food restaurants at all. Well! Just to let you know, it was all that I hoped it would be. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff was beyond courteous and friendly. Overall, It was an all around pleasant experience . Thank you Dons

Love going on Sundays (Thur, Fri, Sat AND Sun) to there Soul Food Buffet. Eat in or Take out. Menu: oxtails; trky wings; ckn wings; bar b q ckn; salmon; stuffed clam shells; mac&chs; yellow rice; candied yams; fried okra; stringbeans; collards; cabbage; bar bq ribs; corn bread; biscuits; stuffing; carved turkey, ham, brisket; black eye peas; potato salad; etc. Desserts: jello; fruit; cobbler; melon.

Poor service we order fried fish for my Brother In-laws repass and the fish was sooooo salty it was horrible. Went back with the fish we couldnt eat and the manager never came out to speak with us. He had the cash register girl basically tell us he can only give us $14 back for $120 we paid for the fish. Poor service you dont treat your customers like that.

Their Mac and Cheese, their chicken wings, their biscuits, their chicken teriyaki is to die for, last week was my first time there and I will be hopping in again and more times after that. My only regret is hitting the "food wall" so I couldnt eat anymore. Very delicious food and very good service.

Has a large variety of elegance tasteful soul food, serve in your own selective buffet style choices, however, your plate weight determine the cost, which is very expensive for takeout orders, $12 to $ 40.00. Also has a standard rate of sit down eat as much as you like of $15 to $20 per order.

My experiences at Dons has always been pleasant. Im from NY and whenever Im in the vicinity I stop in and the food is always fresh, the staff is always welcoming, abd they recently changed the decorum but its the whole package that keeps me coming back.

Food lacked any flavor. My chicken wings were oily and under fried. My yams and collard greens tasted like it came straight out the can. My sister and brother order with me and we all wanted to throw up. I would never eat here again.
