Its a tossup with this place.. They need a new way of making Morning breakfast potatos(just cut up em up more) and especially the corned beef hash... it was literally f#$%&#" disgusting! Tasted like they were prepared and cooked on the floor... the french onion soup is good.. its an open face pattymelt :/ which is dumb.. its always clean... like i said its a,tossup.. burgers are ok.. breakfast needs work.... big time.. i live less than a mile and dont go to it because the cook sucks.. lol..

Horrible service! Went there once when they first opened and it took forever and a day to get an egg. Went back today because I figured they must have straightened thinhs out. There were about 25 people in the entire diner. We were seated promptly and then sat for 15 minutes without anyone acknoweding us. We left... on the way out the owner said bye bye have a nice day. Lol. I am surprised they remain in business.

French toast had no egg base to it and was eating cold bread that was grilled. Scrambled eggs tasted like old rubber. The chicken quesadilla was just plan ehh plus I always thought quesadillas came with guacamole. My husband and I were very disappointed in our meals. We didnt complain but as we said to each other you live and learn well never go back

Giving one star because thats the minimum. Went for dinner on a Saturday night.place wasnt crowded. Waited nearly 10 minutes. No one came by to bring us water or take our order. So we left. For a "steak and seafood" diner, the menu and specials were nothing but typical. Ended up finding a BBQ place 5 minutes away and went there instead.

Food and service are very good, hostess was rude to staff, barking across the dining room. Have Stopped there several trips down the shore,for B-Fast, and waiters/watresses are pleasant and get the orders right, but the women at cash register doesnt know how to treat employees in front of customers. Very Rude unprofessional!!

Mediocre diner. Food selection is the usual for a diner. Place is never busy at dinner time and wait staff is hit or miss. Patrons feel the tension between the waitresses; they will sit there and talk crap about another one at the counter, loud enough for tables nearby to hear. At least you get entertainment?

The wait staff has a bad attitude twice I ordered by phone when I picked up the order asked for condiments and was told by the waitress that she had put it in and twice she lied NEVER again they are never busy that is probably why the wait staff has such a poor attitude.I would put no stars but it wont let me.

My hubby and I usually go to this diner on a Sunday evening. Sandwiches come with a cup of soup, homemade coleslaw, pickle and fries. Lots of varieties. We have never had any of the dinners here so I cant review them. Servers are friendly and diner is extremely clean.

Went for dinner and had the Crab Cakes & Mac & Cheese....wow ~ the food was great!!!! The French Onion soup was honestly the best Ive ever had...My salad was fresh and crisp & our waitress was on top of everything... Will definitely be going back next time I am in NJ ...

Ive had better diner experiences. The food was good but the service wasnt typical diner service: my order wasnt correct and even after asking it was never rectified and my coffee was never refilled (something I believe diners are known for).

Wait time for coffee and a Gingerale was a little long, however, food was good. Ordered 1 sunny side up, and corn beef hash with a fruit salad of strawberries and bananas . Not a fan of the hash. Would I come back? If Im in the area.

Usually they have a good breakfast but today was absolutely terrible. The hot tea and coffee were cold, cold toast, eggs terrible and runny whites. The service was terrible also. Needless to say I will not be back to Oceanbay !

Food was preetty good, and the restaurant was very clean, i went with my mother, my grandmother, and my grandmothers fruend. Very good, lots of options to choose from. I recommend it if your looking for a diner.

Not bad, but there are better diners in NJ. If its something quick and simple its not terrible. The soup though is definitely canned not fresh at all like I am used to with other diners.
