What a disappointment. They proudly display they are open at 5am! Hot fresh bagels! Come on in! So I thought Id give the family a treat and got up early to go there at 6:45am. Big mistake. Most of the bins were empty and all they had out were cinnamon raisin, everything (and they were really "cheap" on the everything. It almost looked like a plain bagel) sesame and plain. No blueberry, no egg, no salt. Nothing. Now heres where the trouble began. I say this with all the kindness in my heart as I certainly would not want the job of being the guy who has to get up at 4am and serve customers and make bagels. That being said, I live in central NJ and I would expect that the person I am interacting with at the counter speaks English. At first I just thought the guy was tired as he stared blankly at me but I quickly realized we had a language barrier. And the person he called to in the back wasnt much more help either. I can work thru the language thing t as Im a "love one, love all" kinda guy but at 6:45am, when a bagel store (that opens at 5AM!) doesnt have bagels, Im gonna get a bit angry... And they werent going ot be ready for at least another 30 minutes. What are these, lunch bagels? Bagels4U? Not if you want them for breakfast!!! Go to the Hillsborough Diner and get some pancakes.

Dont shop here! While their food is mediocre, their service is horrendous! Its slow when youre in the shop, but they also overcharged me for my order and I called to fix it. They said they couldnt do anything and gave me the bosss number. When I reached her, she said it was the wrong number. When I spoke to the store manager again, he insisted it was the right number and wanted me to call her again. Basically after numerous phone calls, they said I could come back to get my refund or they would refund the charge and asked for my credit card information again. I gave them my cc info and they never refunded the charge. When I was nearby I stopped in to get my money back and they refused even though I had my receipt and had spoken to them numerous times. I was so annoyed that they would waste my time like this and still not rectify the problem! I see from other reviews this overcharging seems to be a pattern. Just steer clear. There are so many better businesses to frequent in the Hillsborough area.

My husband and I came in to order some bagels. I thought our order was simole enough...2 everything bagels with eggs and cheese, one with ketchup. Turns out that was a very difficult order. After havine a severe language barrier we ordered our food. When she rung up everything one bagel was double the price, so we questioned it. Her response was "como?" Thats right, no English. We asked what we ordered and she couldnt repeat it back to us. We finally got our bagels and the order was completely wrong. One was a plain bagel with double Taylor ham, while was had no ham, both had ketchup. Luckily the place was empty and we werent in a hurry, so they were able to remake our meal. The final, correct product was pretty good.

This will be the last time I go back there. No management or supervisor on hand, the staff cant speak or understand basic English, and they cant get an over priced order right for their lives. In three recent times I have been there my order has been wrong. For a $7 bagel I wouldnt expect to get what I order not expect it to be wrong each time. The refrigeration and AC system dont function properly so you can forget about getting a cold drink. It would be nice to walk into a business and have it feel professional, but that isnt the case with Bagels 4 U.

Very slow service. I was the only person there and there were 4 employees and my bacon egg and cheese took 15 minutes. She also charged me for two eggs even though I told her one egg, forgot to put hot sauce and also has the worst bacon Ive ever had its the fake Dunkin Donuts bacon which they charge $2 for. They also have a tough time understanding English

I ordered a turkey bacon, egg and cheese on a croissant. They gave me a slice of turkey, pork bacon, and cheese. I didnt notice the error until I got to work, which is 45 minutes away. I also bought a chocolate milk which tasted like its been sitting in the fridge for months. This is the first and last time I will be ordering from this place.

Having heard a great deal about bagels4u, I decided to venture to the bagels4u of Hillsborough. I was thoroughly unimpressed. The service was bad. The bagels felt like they had not been baked sufficiently, and were definitely not worth the price. I would stay away from this place.

The bagels are fresh and delicious. Service is slow but they are moving as fast as they can. Ladies put on gloves with every order or after handling cash but I noticed the baker used his bare hands to push bagels off baking paddle into the baskets.

Great bagels, very good sandwiches but youll definitely wait and some of the ladies are slower than all hell. Not a great structure of the cashier taking the order, cooking it and then accepting your payment. Just have some cooks and cashiers.

Horrible service. Line long and extremely slow. Can take up to 20 minutes to place an order and English is a second language for all staff. Hard to communicate at times. Great bagels though

I have never had a problem. Ive gone there for 16 years now. People need to learn to either be patient, or call ahead if they EXPECT life to always work as they want it to.
