I have had nothing but truly excellent experiences here at the Panera in Succasunna. I will admit that I have not eaten much of whats on their menu - I am a creature of habit, and tend to get the same few foods when I come to eat. But the coffee, souffles, and most of the soups have been excellent (I am not a fan of their version of onion soup). I am much more impressed, though, with their hospitality. I have been here several times with a friend who has a disability that can make her very unpleasant to deal with (and very unaware of how much she may be keeping up the line!). This is one of those invisible disabilities, where you may or may not recognize it as one - you could interpret her behavior as just being entitled and nasty. Regardless, and no matter what I have seen her throw at them in the several times she has accompanied me here, the staff here has been nothing but patient and as accommodating as they could reasonably be. I was especially impressed with one lady - I believe her name is Pam - on one of my friends worst visits. Pam remained calm, smiling, and genuinely helpful and caring throughout the entire transaction. On another note, I occasionally need to come here to work (generally for a couple of days at the end of a semester) - several hours at a time. Sometimes I might eat breakfast and then lunch while working, other times I nurse a coffee the whole time. I never get any indication that I am unwelcome to do so, and I am so thankful for that. Also, I think the hotspot has become much better here than it was in past years - have had no issues connecting when needed. I know Panera is a chain, but this one is also a friendly, hometown dining staple. I hope it has a very long life here!

Staff is young, poorly trained and as mentioned above, cares more about conversations between themselves and with their friends than helping customers. I was there for a meeting, so I was able to observe service over a long period of time. I waited til the line ran down to about 2 people before I went up to order and for five minutes I was bounced between the front cashier and the side cashier as they argued over who was going to help me. I ordered the turkey avocado sandwich and the avocado was old, brown and hard. The turkey was so dry it was hard as well. And the "lettuce" used was all stalk and no greens so it was bitter and the sandwich was mostly inedible. For the price I paid I almost hated to throw it out.

I went in here on multiple occasions and I try to always avoid it. The only good thing about this place is the man who works there named Gary I think. Hes always very kind and very helpful, but the manger Jen is so far from that, either she just hates her job or she does not have time for a second cup of coffee in the morning because she is far from pleasant she huffs when you ask her politely for something and makes it seem like we are asking her to recite the French anthem in Korean. She is someone you listen to and think, poor employees, I would kick Jen right out and put Gary right in the manger spot, because I dont think most mangers huff when asked to do something.

This Panera disappoints compared to the Panera in ITC. My husband ordered the broccoli cheddar soup, it arrived a very orange color, when he tasted it, it was burnt. I ordered the watermelon feta salad, this consisted of seeds that I couldnt identify, fresh greens, and little or no feta cheese. The area to place dirty dishes was piled high, I wont go back again.

If youre going to have a new employee taking orders, you should train them properly. It took about 5 tries with this guy, Chase. I had to tell him my order FIVE times, and he still got it wrong. When I got home, I was disappointed. PLEASE TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES!~

Ive always liked Panera. Ive been to Paneras across the country and the experience has always been a positive one. The Roxbury Mall location is as good of an experience as any. The staff is friendly and the food is prepared well. You can never go wrong eating here.

I paid $4.70 for a strawberry-banana smoothie. It barely tasted like strawberries, if anything at all. Cashier had a horrible attitude when I chose not to tip with my change. Would not recommend going to this one.
