If we could rate this place a negative star, we would. Which is a shame because the food is pretty good but the experience we just had with the restaurant manager/owner was HORRIBLE!!! Its a very busy Sunday, I totally understand that... After waiting 30 minutes to be seated and clearly skipped over several times, we finally got called. I told the hostess that my wife and daughter were sitting right outside in the car, since the front foyer area was packed and hot outside. The manager stepped in and said you cannot be seated until all parties are here. My initial thought was you got to be kidding me, which I related to him. I just stood here for 30 minutes and you cant wait 2 seconds got them to come through the door. I asked him the question 3 times, no answer but the same stupid response. At this point I an really upset and start to ask him repeatedly if he is serious. Yes, yes, yes was his answer. I gave the manager/owner a piece of my mind, I couldnt believe this. This guys response is of course, I dont want to serve you, I want you to leave...of course. I know, this means I dont want to serve you, my property, etc. Next question, do you want ne to call the police. My answer yes, Im not afraid of that line! After speaking with the police a couple drove by that had come in right before me, been seated, ate their breakfast, paid and got into their car. Im glad they stopped too give the offices feedback also. Bottom line, this manager does not want to serve us and we dont want to go back there. This review is more about service, seating customers in order and the inability for a manager to use common sense. If your lobby is small and you dont have enough space, we cant all be in there. If its a hot day, then some folks will sit in the car. Its common sense.

Better food than other Diners? Are you kidding me? Lunchtime we ordered chicken fillet which was cooked from frozen and it was tasteless and dry and the fries were also cooked from frozen ( Jethro stuff) .Never mind your big portions to please the unsuspecting and from stingy backgrounds . This stuff was cheap frozen stuff ,fried and put on a plate. My wife ordered a Honky Tonk chicken and anyone with any brain cells knows that when salad starts to go brown on the edges you dont serve it let alone to paying guest and In our case it looked like leftover salad which was served and we know about food so we could tell that this is not a place for us to eat fresh food. Forget about reviews , if you know how to cook this place is not for you. They even forgot to put the boiled egg in the dish that my wife ordered. It was replaced with some cold leftover sliced egg in a little saucer when we pointed out the incompetence. I would never go back to this place. They served my wife completely different dish to the one they describe on their menu. Waitress seemed to be blessed with complacency and from what we saw a lot of complacency and incompetence around the place. Being popular does not mean you can get away with serving substandard dishes.

We moved an hour away from the Edison Le Peep about 10 years ago, and this was our first visit back since then. The decor has been upgraded, very nice. The service was excellent, our server was friendly and attentive. The food was a little disappointing from what we remember 10 years ago. I had the Belgian Waffle with Moms Sassy Apples. The waffle was very good, Moms apples were far from sassy. No spices, no flavor - they tasted like canned apples that had been overcooked into mushiness. My husband had the Banana/Raisin French Toast. The bananas and raisins were very good, a good amount and tasted great with the French toast. The FT itself, well, was bland. The bread had been barely dipped in the egg custard mixture, the inside of the bread was still white. Soak that bread, folks! Thats what gives it the flavor. I realize that portions may have been cut to keep prices down, but please dont sacrifice quality. We are willing to pay more for an excellent meal rather than get a mediocre meal. All in all, we would return. My old favorite was the HenPen, my husbands was the Lumberjack. We wanted to try something different today.

Lets start with the wait. A table for 13 took 2 hours of a wait, not because there werent tables. Just because some people decided to extend there stay after their bill. Why we didnt leave after being told it was a 20 minute wait and it actually being an hour-we dont know. Apperently it is impolite to ask a party that have extended their stay to leave. By extended stay we mean just hanging out after the bill for over an hour. Yes. I said over an hour. Regardless, we ended up sitting on other ends of the restaurant and split our families during this momentus meal of the weekend - breakfast. The food was great. However the service would be comparable to a Guantanamo bay interrogation cell, with no one giving a crap about you. In conclusion, please advice before bringing your family to a joyous occasion of brunch at La Peep. Realize the wait time is not so peep at La Peep.

I love Le Peep.. Their food is amazing I definitely come here many times.. The only reason for my 2 stars is because I came here excited to have a meal on Veterans Day, I brought my ID and everything. I asked the waitress if they were doing anything for Veterans Day, she answered in the sweetest voice that she will go and check for me... She came back moments later and apologized "Im sorry, theyre not..." Theres no reason for me to get up.. the food is wonderful.. I know at least I will enjoy my Wanderer with my over easy eggs... This just means Ill pay for my meal. But maybe next year Le Peep can be a bit more inviting towards our Veterans. Their food is delicious nonetheless.

We used to go to diners and IHOP when the craving for breakfast food hits. Once weve been to Le Peep, we will probably never go to an IHOP again. Their food is just super delicious! Their waffles melt in your mouth and their skillets are delicious and filling. I almost never drink coffee but their hazelnut coffee converted me to a coffee drinker. Their burgers and fries are also really good. Their servers are always friendly and attentive and they have coupons in the local papers. The only downside is that the place is only open for breakfast and lunch. I would love to come here for a burger after work!

If you find yourself in Edison and want to check out a fantastic breakfast place then I encourage you to come here! Lavazza coffee, incredible blueberry and granola pancakes (yes thats a thing and its delicious) and phenomenal corned beef hash eggs Benedict. Sounds like a winner to me! You cant beat the prices and the service was excellent! Our server, Christine was highly knowledgeable and made some spot on recommendations. Sure the wait was 20mins but given that it was a Sunday at 1130am its nothing to complain about Overall strong five stars for quality of food and service - cant wait to come back!
