Grooveground has always had good coffee and USUALLY a pleasant environment to work in when trying to get out of the house. I have, however, been disappointed as of recent. Mike the owner (who I since found out was the owner), on two separate occasions has had loud and obnoxious conversation on his phone. I had watched people give faces, than get up and leave, as well as myself. As a paying customer in public establishment, I understand that there will be loud conversation and sometimes will not be suitable for concentration. However, it seems that almost everyone keeps it to a moderate town before driving people away. When we can hear your conversations about fund raising and other opportunities, isnt it time to tune it back a bit?

Were really spoiled here in Collingswood for good coffee places. Grooveground is one of two great ones weve got in town. Theyve got La Colombe coffee, a good drinks menu, and some light food thats always been good, but the best part of this place is that theyre open until 10pm on weekdays (and 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays), and theres lot of room to hang out. No other coffee place in the area (or that I can even find in Philadelphia) is open this late. Theyve got great outside space to hang out on, and often theres a parklet parked at the curb for even more space.

Spotted this coffee shop out of the corner of my eye while walking down the street. Stopped in to check it out and stayed for some great coffee and even better atmosphere. The records are a great touch - I wish there was a bigger selection! And to top it off, the baristas are incredibly friendly. Everyone should stop in here sometime with a good book or good friends because this coffee shop deserves to be recognized.

Its Ok! Far from upscale as previous reviewer mentioned..more like a college dorm atmosphere..and I thought the couches/chairs could use a good washing. Staff on duty around 4:00 pretty good but changed around 6:00 and service was poor. Milk was " sour" and I watched staff used a rag from his "pocket" to clean the lid of the container. Were holding our next meeting at another shop. Sorry!

Stopped in to get a coffee and do a little reading. Agree with another reviewer the place had a dorm room look. Two men were having a very loud disscussion inside so I sat outside. Wasnt thrilled with the coffee (but thats a personal taste). Didnt have a dessert, but they all looked very good. Not horrible but just not my cup of tea (or should I say coffee).

Great coffee. They close late so it is a really good place to meet people. Just be careful because they dont always make fresh pots of coffee close to closing. Get an espresso drink instead. Dont be scared to ask either :)

Great proprietors and employees. The best coffee. Love the wifi. Breakfasts are the best. Eggsandwuch made to order, oatmeal with your choice of fruit and nuts. The regulars have a bond that Cliff and Norm would envy.

I just get regular coffee here, but they have all kinds of drinks and treats to eat. They have cds,dvds and even some Lps to purchase. Over all a nice place to spend a little time enjoying a coffee and relaxing.

Fantastic decaf. Love the muffins! Sometimes they have day old muffins too. You can also buy a loaf of bread to take home for dinner!! How wonderful. Used cds at great prices!! Neat stuff to buy too!!
