Ikko has excellent sushi. Ive eaten here many times and what really makes them stand out is the quality of the fish. They also prepare gluten free hibachi which is a rarity. When eating at a hibachi table with others they will prepare all of the gluten free entrees first so no cross contamination. This is great but also can be an inconvenience to others at the table so if youre gluten free make sure you go with a group of people you know so you can explain. Otherwise they can prepare hibachi in the kitchen if you do not want to inconvenience others. Their hibachi is also top notch.

Horrible they were told several times there was a shellfish allergy tonight and when my daughter called me to tell me she was having a reaction that they cooked the food together but kept it separate on the grill I am wondering did they not fully understand what an allergy was wtf food allergy / shellfish allergy !!!! She was a young girl out to eat with the understanding she would be ok - long story short ER VISIT / and the ER said this is not the first from there so keep this in mind!!!! letting them know

Weve had sushi/shashimi in virtually every japanese restaurant in Ocean County (and many throughout NJ/NYC too) and in our opinion, nothing comes close. Nice atmosphere, super friendly, always attentive staff and the largest, freshest, best looking/tasting shashimi portions weve ever seen. Great selection of sushi rolls and awesome appetizers. The place is always busy, but they take reservations. Been going here for a few years now. Best of all...its consistent.

Our favorite sushi place for quite a while now. Always an extensive and very fresh selection. Very friendly staff, quick and very attentive. We have been there several times and there is always some new creation to try. Hibachi is delicious. Call way ahead on weekend nights or grab a drink at a next door bar while you wait (very convenient location). If you are tired of the same chain sushi menus this is your place to find some variety done right!

I had this delicious vegetarian roll. Like most Japanese restaurants, there are vegetarian options. Instead of seaweed it was on the low calorie section, rolled in cucumber. I had to personally request it just to be vegetables. Giving four stars. When we first arrived there was a funny smell that almost reminded me of a bug spray. Other than that a nice atmosphere.

Best hibachi ever! The only bad experience my wife and I ever had was only because the family that happened to sit with us that night requested no garlic, no vegetable, no sauces... Please people...let the chefs do their job or find a different hibachi establishments food to ruin for other people. Its Zagat rated for a reason.

Very bad experience. False reviews. They have their relatives write them....they lie about their service. There open and close times are not accurate. They said we close whenever they want even though the sign says they clone 9:30pm...I was there before 9pm...very bad service. Deserves 0 stars. Very disappointing

Always delicious. Managers are awesome and very accommodating. Jerry, Cindy, and Jenny are phenomenal servers. Food is always cooked to your liking and the chefs are talented. The place was recently renovated and looks incredibly clean. We have dined here tons of times and will continue. It is also BYO.

Best eel bowl! I have had Japanese food from the tip of Kyushu all the way east to Tokyo, San Diego to New York. Im my opinion this is in the top three of the hundreds of eel bowls I have ate. Thank you very much, delicious! ! If I ever return to the area I will be back for more.

Have been many times. Cannot say enough good things about Ikko, from the staff (Simon Tan), décor (recently underwent a complete remodel- which is fantastic!!), food (everything is great), etc. If you are in the 08723/Brick area, check them out- you will NOT regret it!!!!

The food at ikko has always been a favorite. Get the rainbow roll...its delicious!!! The specialty rolls are the best. The managers treat us like family. Jerry and Cindy are phenomenal servers! The price is descent for a semi-upscale restaurant. Love this place!!!

Have had multiple bad experiences here, the management was at first understanding so I gave them second and third chances because the food is good, The food is good but some of the cooks are extremely rude and the management is unexperienced.

Absolutely horrible. I was one of the first people to order, good change 30 minutes later. I had ordererd the green salad, it was wilted and drowning in sauce. Bento box was horrible. Was that chicken?? Rolls fell apart. Horrible experience.

be very careful when doing the gluten free hibachi, make sure they clean very well before they start and pay attention while theyre making it! I used to love this place before I was diagnosed with celiac, but now I only go back for sushi.

Ikko Hibachi are the best sushi in town, actually in NJ. I come here every week and the food are awesome. The staff, servers and managers are very nice and accomodating. its also a BYOB. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IKKO to everyone :D

As long as I can remember, IKKO serves the most consistent sushi in the area. Have never had a bad piece of fish there. Service is good and the recent renovation was a nice upgrade. You will not be disappointed.

Surprisingly good hibachi, with very large portions. Ive been here with my friends and weve always had a good time. The performance may get tired after awhile for some, but the food is still worth return trips.
