This place is a gem in a small town of bland stones. Cute, intimate and honest, it has just the right amount of atmosphere with the perfect amount of enjoyably pleasant service. It is always consistent, and might possibly get better every year. I have never once had a single bad experience and have been going for years. The sushi is delicious and is always served fresh and placed in an aesthetically classy manner. This place is most definitely one of the only good japanese spots on this side of the river. Lovely and delicious!

This place is simply amazing. For a small restaurant ITZMI can stand toe to toe with any Japanese restaurant. Everything from the salad to the main entree had a signature ITZMI touch which only enhances the flavors delivered in their cuisine. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal in newburgh

Itzmi has the freshest sashimi and sushi in the area without being pricey. Unlike other sushi restaurants in the area, the sushi chef here personally picks out the freshest fish and rejects fish just a day older. Most come. Service is very family oriented and youll become part of the family!

We LOVE itzmi!! The people are great and the food is even better! Never EVER had a bad meal. I tell everyone to go there. The service isnt as fast as other places but its a very small place with only a few chefs. But its worth it. Takeout is awesome as well! We always get the spicy itzmi!

Very well prepared sushi. Very fresh. Care is taken even down to packing the to go bag making sure everything is in the bag. The miso soup is amazing. If you havent gone, you should. Ive tasted sushi all around the tri state area and its great to have such quality right down the road.

Came here with a family of 5 for the first time and we all had a great time. As I am not a huge fan of sushi, I was pleasantly surprised that they also have a large selection of kitchen entree. Service was friendly and fast. We definitely will be back soon!

We have been taking our kids (now 14 and 15 girl and boy) from 10 years ago. The family that runs Itsmi are very nice, kind and courteous. The quality is great and the service is fast. High quality. Say Hello to "Mi" the hostess and server.

TAKES TOO LONG! FasterService please!! We use to come here every week!! Now it takes an hour for lunch or dinner. The sushi is the best, but only one chef is there now. IT TAKES TOO LONG. Please get another sushi chef so we can come back!!

Ive been going to Itzmi since they opened some time around 2000. The quality has never declined and many of the staff are still the same. They introduced me to Unagi (eel) and Ive gone back for more ever since. Worth every penny.

Ive been eating here for for 16 years. Still the best! This is where I started eating sushi and fell in love with it. Nice atmosphere. Really friendly staff. One of my favorite restaurants. Period

Not impressed. 2 chefs there but so busy that one was helping cleaning the tables. We waited 40 minutes to have our tiny salad and 10 more minutes for dinner. Not recommended at all.

Freshest Sushi in the Newburgh area! The dragon roll is outstanding and the other speciality rolls are great. There are also hidden gems that are not on the menu.
