My wife and I went to the Black Water Grill for our Anniversary, we found the restaurant comfortable. We enjoyed the appetizers we had, Lobster spinach artichoke dip was nice, the Calamari was very good. The problem came with the main course. Ribeye marsala at $36 for a special was a little extreme for the quality of the meal. The steak was fatty, the sauce was mushrooms,corn starch and water with essence of Marsala, the vegetables were nicely done though. The other special was a seafood saute at $34, it was VERY lemony flavored with mostly linguine, and some seafood. The main problem I had was to pay such exhorbitant prices for average food. I will go somewhere else next time.

We decided to visit Salem for part of our vacation so we could stop at Canobie Lake Park. The most we had for dinner ideas was ordering pizza ...until we decided to use google maps to find a local restraunt. Thats when we stumbled across this amazing place. We ordered the Calamari for an appetizer ( for $9 they literally give you a HUGE portion filled to the top in a bowl!) The staff and especially our waitress were very welcoming and made the experience even better. Our experience at the Black Water Grill was wonderful and would recommend this restraunt to any one visiting the area!

Our office visits the Black Water on a regular basis and have never been let down. The food and drinks are very good but its the staff that makes the restaurant great. In a nutshell, they are always accommodating, smiling and willing to go the extra mile. Weve also had our Christmas party there the past three years for 50-60 people and I highly recommend the Black Water if youre looking for an upscale but flexible menu and atmosphere. They will deliver.

Fairly good. I got the BWG Burger. I did ask for medium rare and it came back medium. Im personally not picky when its that small of a difference but if youre super picky, keep that in mind. It was fairly tasty, not bland but not memorable. The only other thing of note is that most of the prices are high for what you get. I saw a lot of $20+ entrees. $25 was not uncommon. The atmosphere was decent as well. Again, nothing bad but nothing memorable.

Have been here a number of times. The atmosphere is OK, the staff is pleasant enough. My issues are an apparent lack of regular hours, and the prices. For an establishment that appears to be presenting itself as a more upscale dining experience the food taste like it was prepared much earlier or was frozen. It wasnt bad, but for the prices we would have expected fresher, non-frozen items. Plenty of parking and easy to get to/find off 93

Its ok. The food is **terribly** overpriced and the portions are lacking. The food tastes good, but nothing to write home about. Ive been here 3 times and every time the place has only a few customers in the dining area. Im thinking its because its way to expensive for what they give you. The service was pretty good from what I remember, but when theres only a few customers, what else can you expect?!

Very cozy atmosphere and beautiful decor, reasonable prices for the quality of food. Entrees average about $25 here. Not a great selection of beer/wine/cocktails, but the food was very tasty. Although I visited in the winter time, they have a beautiful, lit porch for evening dining which looks great for use in the summer. I will definitely be returning.

The food was delicious and service was very friendly. I came here with a few colleagues and everyone really enjoyed their meals. I ordered the Turkey Panini and was very pleased. The Panini was toasted well, the slices turkey tasted like it was made in house and the French fries were delicious. Definitely recommmend.

The Host was very polite. The food was incredible as was the waitress. Came back many of times to make sure everything was okay. As far as pricing they could get much more money for the quality of the food. Everything was served in a timely fashion. Definitely will become one of my favorite spots to eat.

Staff is very nice. Katie was the best. Buffalo chicken nachos are AMAZING!!!! Had the Cajun ribeye and my friend had the blackberry ribs. Both were so delicious. Our only regret was that we ate so much there want room left for dessert. Oh, if your eyes arent good, be prepared to squint at the menu.
