Delicious Suburban Pricey Oasis... A party of four of us had a 10-min wait to be seated, but was expected since it was the night before Veterans Day. **Service** 3.5-out-of-5. Once seated, our waitress admitted to it being her 2nd night and a bit overwhelmed due to the short staff on a holiday night. She continually checked-in on us every 15 minutes but after a request for another drink mid-meal she did forget to bring it until reminded. I was also disappointed to find that I couldnt substitute my side vegetable (on the menu with my dinner) with something (anything) else. **Food** 4.5-out-of-5. We ordered the crazy waffle pub fries and they were amazing. Fried pickles are also great and should be on any restaurants menu. And an unhealthier-than-anything indulgence of fried Mac-n-Cheese puts the Cheesecakes version to shame. Dinner was also fantastic, with the hands-down winner of the four meal being the Turkey Tips. Close runner-up was the burger with a fried (sunny-side up) egg. Still, with the Turkey tips came the side of cooked carrots - Im not a fan - but theirs are pretty good. If only they could have given me, say, fries or mashed potatoes or baked beans instead... **Dessert** 3-out-of-5. The Creme Brulee, which seems to be a restaurant staple nowadays, was made with part candybars. The top of the Brulee wasnt crunchy but instead confusing with the chocolate-caramel from the candybar theyd used. Worse, the creme underneath the toasted shell was too soft to the point of being runny. However, a seasonal treat of pumpkin bread pudding was on the menu, and that was a smash hit. Highly recommended bread pudding. **Drinks** 5-out-of-5. There is no doubt these guys are serious about their drinks. Ive been to this place 5x and each time Ive had no bad drink of the menu. The beer selections rotate quickly and regularly, but every time Im in there I find their choices to be top-notch - I could throw a dart at the drink menu and end up with a great selection theyve chosen to have on tap that night. And with their trendy vibe comes their fancy mixed drinks menu, which also pleases. **Atmosphere** 4-out-of-5. Its a pub by name, so by that standard this is a pub with serious hip styles. Its safe to say theres a sort of "scene" at the Biltmore, with a trendy-at-times bar side and a trendy-at-times dining side. Everything was clean and tidy when we were seated, and the bathrooms were also clean. I wasnt a fan of the curtain in the mens room (for urinal privacy) but was a necessity for certain as the door to the restaurant is right behind you. The Biltmore itself is located on the old mill/factory areas of Upper Falls (Newton) and its not the prettiest neighborhood. Its next to a tanning salon, retired railroad tracks, and across the street from a not-so-glamorous pizza joint. Parking is around the side towards the end of the building, or street parking. Dont park in the lot across the street or you may not find your car where you left it when you return. **Price** 3.5-out-of-5. Admittedly the drink menu is as pricey as a downtown Boston selection. $12-14 for a martini is really more of a Bristol Lounge in the Four Seasons Boston price range. And although the food also leans towards the expensive, the portions dont disappoint and the quality of the food is a cut above most. Overall, Id love to become a regular at the Biltmore. I give them 4 out of 5 overall.

I went for one of their special events, the second Paleo Dinner. It was a fantastic five course meal done following the caveman diet. Each part I wasnt sure how they could do better than the last, but they did. The chef came out and explained how he made each dish as it was served with the course. It was an experience more than just going out to eat! The dessert was mind-blowing. It was better than most of the junk my sweet-tooth wants. The waitstaff always made sure we had what we needed, they were very accommodating. The decor felt very historic. I could imagine decades of people making memories in the same spaces I was in. Great place!

The Sunday Jazz Brunch alone is worth the visit. The salmon benedict and menu choices were well received by our party of ten. We tremendously enjoyed the food and the Jazz Pianist so much we returned the next week and cant wait to go again. Check out the website for the surf n turf happy hour and weekend clam bake experience. They were also just awarded Newtons Best Bar by Improper Bostonian. I especially like the Pomergranate Mimosa and Bloody Marys. Yum! I cant wait to go again and again and again! J.Rogers

we were exited about finding another pub/ bar in the area that might have some nice local color and we did. It has a great atmosphere with an enthusiastic staff. The drinks were tasty and the big screens captivating. The food was a little hit and miss. Dry were the meatloaf and Tuna entrys while the veggies tasted perfectly done. We were five and all the food was equally hot when brought to our table. Our wait was about 35 min. at prime time around 7:30 . I might go back and give it a second chance.

This place has the best pub fries around! They are waffle fries with gravy and bacon! They used to come with a fried egg but I think you need to ask for it now. I am always craving these. The fried chicken is okay. The steak or turkey tips are fantastic! The drinks are good, nice beer selection and a fun atmosphere. The menu changes so worth going back. I like it for a fun weekday dinner as its always lively inside! They also have outdoor seating in the summer which is new.

Website says they serve dinner until 11 on fridays. Got there at 10:40 and the waitress said first that the kitchen was closed, and then said that they are only serving the snack menu posted over the bar with 5 items on it. LATER, I see that people who arrived after me got a burger, which was NOT on the snack menu!! The waitress was NOT attentive at all. She served me my popcorn chicken with no utensils or napkin, then never came back. Also, I felt sick after eating them.

The food and drinks are very good. Portion sizes are excellent, house cocktails are inventive and interesting, and the atmosphere is warm. Sadly, the management is combative and rude, making the experience negative and unpleasant. Our server made a small mistake, but rather than correct our bill the manager came over and argued with us for a solid five minutes over $4. Ridiculous behavior that has soured us on an old favorite. Sad.

I went there the other day with my brother-in-law expecting a lot. The ambiance of the place is very nice and theyve got a number of flat screens in the bar area. The food was decent, but way overpriced and beers seemed to be a bit on the high end for the area. Add that parking is limited in the area, which is a bit discouraging. Service was decent, but I wasnt blown away by anything. All in all it was just ok.

Beer and wine have inflated prices...$11 for glass of wine or beer. Burgers have not enough meat and too much brioche bun. Plate shapes...think square, rectangular, uneven sided soup bowls...want to be in upscale restaurant to justify the prices. No energy in bar or dining area. Why go to Biltmore when O Hara s is so near... just down the road with the best bar, bartenders, food and atmosphere?
