We went for lunch for buffet. Liked the interiors and food was ok, but the worst service ever recd in any indian restaurant so far. First we entered there was no host to seat us so we went and sat at a table since it was buffet. We waited for 5 mins for waiter to show at the table. Another 5 mins for Nans and water to come in. When we ask the question can they speed it up since it is lunch time and we need to move fast, just a ignored response. Inspite of all the delays and bad service, no apolegitic answer or any feedback. When we asked if there is a supervisor or manager on site, "NO" was the response. Only when we threatened that we will not pay the bill if we dont get better service, then there was some attention given to us. Otherwise, I have been in states for 16 years, never have seen such a bad service at indian restaurant, wherein the interiors and the food was above average, but the service and the quality was far below average. Hope they change this and live up to all the past reviews that are here. Hope the owner of the restaurant reads this and really takes care of his restaurant. Thank you.

The food is just off the charts delicious here as far as Indian cuisine goes. However, the service is ATROCIOUSLY slow. Its not that theyre not very nice, because they all are, but the last 3-4 times we have gone, the service has gotten progressively slower and slower. Last night we were the second patrons to arrive. They filled up pretty soon after that. However, over an hour after we ordered (which includes ordering and receiving our soup and appetizers) we still didnt have our entrees despite seeing many other tables already with their entrees, and one table even paying their bill! If youre going to go here, make sure you have the free time, because you will find yourself waiting around often at your table. For us, the food makes it worth it, but they really should still get better with the promptness of the service because Im sure most others arent as patient as we are.

I had been to Coriander early last year and the food used to be really good, I also attended a party there and the fish was excellent. This time around the Chef decided to play tricks, the chicken kebabs were rewarmed 3 day old kebabs, I asked for goat and they tried to mix pieces of lamb with a few goat bones thinking i would not be able to tell the difference. I would not have been so insulted if they had to just say no we serve only Lamb. They need to go to another restaurant and learn to make Lassi, which tasted more like nonfat milk with a little salt. And dont get me started about the prices, it seemed like there was some magician sitting in the kitchen. The food tasted like crap and the prices. I could have eaten at 1/4 the price and 4 times better food in Ben Salem....

We went to Coriander to celebrate a friends birthday last night. It had been about a year since I had last been there, since I have been out of the area, and I was looking very forward to the meal. It was WONDERFUL!! THe service was exceptionally attentive, the menu had plenty of choices including a large and varied vegetarian menu. 2 of my friends were new to Indian cuisine and the waitperson explained the choices, replenished our beverages and was altogether charming. When we wee done wth our meal, another one of the staff came to us, asking how everything had been and explaining some more of the dishes we had questions about. All in all, I would strongly recommend this lovely haven away from the mundane and "ordinary" dining choices available in our area.

This is absolutely my favorite restaurant in the area. Ive been here many times, but most recently went for dinner on Saturday night. Service was great, food was spectacular, ambiance is very pretty. We ordered the cauliflower appetizer (which as many others have pointed out, is very good if you dont mind your vegetables fried), Lamb vindaloo and chicken lababdar. We also ordered a vegetable side that included spinach and potatoes that was not on the menu. The food was absolutely amazing. The dishes were incredibly detailed and delicate, and had us trying to pick out which particular spice or combination we loved most. Good Sized Portions, We were definitely full when we left and even brought some leftovers with us. It would be a shame not to.

I had the worst experience last night. The food was ok, the Tandoori chicken was very dry. The lady who I think owns the place kept on hovering over our table asking us questions over and over again. We placed an order and half hour later a guy came back to clarify the order. We were staving, but instead of food all we got were questions like why, what, when, over and over again. Finally, when the food came out, I requested Raita and the gentlemen asked why are asking for Raita is the food too spicy, I told him no spicy, its too dry. I would rather go to Monsoon, they have better food and better service, and no one harasses me there with a million questions when I am trying have dinner with friends.

A wonderful little Indian eatery, parked conspicuously on the outskirts of a movie theater strip mall, Coriander hits a lot of notes spot on. Ive only tried a few of the dishes so far, but every ones been a hit, and I intend to keep going and try more, especially given the quality of the dessert menu (that dark chocolate cake goes amazingly well with a scoop of chai ice cream). My only real issue with the place is its size and layout; it does the best it can with the space provided as a strip mall storefront, but I feel the floorplan and lack of square footage are really holding it back. Even so, if youre a fan of the cuisine or even just curious, Coriander is a choice I will happily endorse.

Excellent North Indian food - their Panneer Lababdar is to die for, the Paalak Chaat appetizer is out of this world, as is the Lasooni Gobi...I could go on and on. We have frequented Coriander for several years, and have also ordered party trays from them, and the food has never been anything short of superb. Everything tastes fresh and flavorful. We are vegetarians, so I cant comment on the meat selections. I only tried their buffet once a long time ago and found the vegetarian selections to be limited, so we usually go there for dinner. Service is very good, although they are a bit crowded on weekends.

One of the horrible places in the name of indian cuisine. Dont judge by the ambience, the food quality is horrible and when we asked for why it is like this and they are giving an answer as if the entire indian cuisine community is wrong! what kind of attitude is that? I would never recommend any one here and the food portions are really low and not taste good at all. Not sure why it is so expensive for so horrible and small portion. If you dont want to taste the indian food, please go here, otherwise stay away and new jersey has so much quailty and good indian cusines through out.

Great restaurant with really nice staff. At a glance, the ambiance, ingenuity in dishes, and creative, ethnic look of the restaurant makes it a great place for treating oneself and others to good Indian food. The owner of the restaurant is the chef too and it is very much evident in the quality of the ever-evolving dishes. The walnut soup and lasooni gobi were the highlights of our dinner with orders of paneer makhani, malai kofta and bread basket (all of which were really good too!).
