I am a seafood lover. I have eaten in some very popular places in NH and MA. There are some that a very good and highly rated by others., the best are in my top five each for a different reason. Some steamers, others it is there lobsters or fish ect. Yet there wasnt any place that did it all well and very few had options for decent food for that one person in the family who doesnt like seafood but is part of the night out. or so I thought Lobster-Q beats them all, the cook is crazy good and the food is prepared in ways that you wonder why other restaurants dont show this kind of dedication. Whether its boiled, fried, baked or steamed you will be pleased. Even the sides are given the care they deserve to be amazing. This applies to the non seafood items as well. So that one person in the group will be just as happy as you. Steak tips that melt in your mouth to prime rib that has a smokehouse flavor that you will enjoy every slice. Portions are generous too. No big plate little food problem here. Prices are reasonnable. Atmospher is relaxed and you are attended to promptly and recieved with a warm freindly manner. There is usually pleasant music in the backdrop, some folk and blues and a mix of everything that you might consider dinner music. Loud enought to be heard without disturbing a quiet conversation or causing you to raise your voice to be heard. The owner sometimes comes over to chat and welcome you. He remembers people which always impresses me. Dont be fooled by the restraunt front, its in a strip mall set up. Come in see, you will be glad you did. This is not some quick eat, but a full and well organized restraunt featuring the best seafood and BBQ you can get in NH.

If you like greasy food, youll love this place but if you are looking of a good seafood restaurant, look elsewhere. The baked seafood was marginal. I had the Baked seafood combo which consisted of a small end piece of haddock and four small scallops. The description sounded like it was baked in a casserole but it was basically just the small piece of fish and a few scallops. No baked potato, had the rice and it was taseless and dried out, the "fresh" vegetable was definitely a frozen mixed vegetable, My spouse had the fried clams which was very greasy. This is our second time eating at this restaurant, first experience was just as disappointing. The restaurant manager/owner is a strange dude too.

Lobster Q is a great little hidden gem in Hampstead NH that all of us locals know about and enjoy. Everything is fresh and delicious. The owner Sean is always on site and makes you feel at home and special, and offers samples to try. They have a great selection of beers, different creative cocktails and good wine selection. I love the baked stuffed sole in lobster sauce and steamed Prince Edward Mussels. The small bar is intimate and offers good conversation. I dont understand Brutuss review...not anything like we have ever experienced after going there many times!

Come on people, the Lobster Q is a great local gem! Tonight we had twin 1.5 lbs lobsters (didnt look like twins to me), a 1 lb bowl of steamas, AWESOME cornbread, mac-n-cheese, coleslaw ( which was very creamy) and VERY HOT, light your ass up chili. I like it hot and spicy but tonights batch was WAYYYYYY to hot. Other than the chili, we had a great meal. Wait staff was very friendly and accomadating to our needs. We will definitely be returning.

One of the best restaurants around. Great combination of seafood and BBQ. The food is always delicious. If you really like seafood I recommend "The Kings Haddock". Its a great entree that you wont find anywhere else. The beer selection is great as well, even including some of their own beers brewed with Marthas Exchange.

Decent food but expensive. Have had the steak tips and the grilled chicken and both were cooked great. The sides however are way too small. They serve applesauce in a little sauce dish. Very disappointed in the sides but overall nice restaurant. The owner and staff are nice

No bread or rolls unless you ask. Portions are on the small side. No salad with meals, only one vegetable of the day!!????? Weird ones-turnip, ( who eats turnip) creamed spinach. Most people say never mind, it must save them $. How about corn, carrots, broccoli.

No clue how this place got any negative reviews. Weve eaten there many times and the food is always fresh and first rate. Ive eaten both baked and fried and loved it all. The clam chowder while excellent is not traditional. Great place nice owner nice setting.

Service is absolutely incredible! The food is fantastic! Dont let the strip mall appearance fool you. LobsterQ is great. Keep the Kings Haddock special as a menu regular! Also, ask about their Surf & Smoke, also not on the menu but crazy good!!

Competition style ribs (no falling off the bone, plenty of bark), good seafood. Got to love a place that shows the Food Network on the tv. Smelts on the fishermans platter was different.

My husband and I love it here, the food is excellent. They are always willing to accommodate my 2 yr old daughters funny eating habits as well and that says a lot about a restaurant.

Food is usually very good, but the kitchen does not know how to make a rare hamburger. Great place for seafood and cocktails and smoked meats!
