Food was very disappointing. The chinese chicken salad was very odd, was the worst I have ever tasted; we left the whole plate behind. The rest of the dishes were not very good either. The waiter was nice. I did tell him that the chinese chicken salad was disgusting. Oh the soft drink was great. I am originally from the bay area and we have great chinese food almost on every corner and I just cant seem to find a good chinese restaurant in the central valley area with the exception of Hunan Restaurant in Fresno. I went to Shanghai restaurant based on the good reviews it received...very misleading I wont be reading reviews anymore!

Restaurant is getting dirtier each time weve been there. Food is decent. Staff runs hot and cold as far as being friendly. Portions are plentiful. Still not use of being charged for pot of hot tea at aChinese restaurant. Prices are a little high. We remember when this was the place to go for good Chinese food, not so today. Went into the mens room, there was a employee that had just used the facility that walked out without washing his hands. Havent had the greatest dining experience in a very long time. Not sure we will ever go back!

I used to like to eat here then the past 3 years the food has been not so good. 6 months ago I got food poisoned after eating there. Then 2 weeks ago the news showed its one of the worst places to eat. Food was left out in heat there was mildew in the machines and so much more. They where fined many times for carlessness on the food. When I got food poison it was for a week my stomach wouldnt stop feeling terrible after I got out of hospital I was still sick. Now so many others say they were also food poisoned.

I was in this Monday for early Dinner. Back in the day it was the best, I order the Shrimp Lo ma in the Noddles were over cook an came in the bottom of a bowl not even mixed the waiter didnt ask how the meal was just to bring the Check that is when I told him about the dish he said I should have Order Chop suey They are fryed Not boil.I never order that again then I notice a chair at a table that was torn the Owners wouldnt have that done they were Proud of your Place I am guessing they have changed Owners.

Love the food here but the waitresses (except 2) had a bad attitude and all they did was huddle around the cashier and gossip, when my mother and i finally went to the cashier to pay, one of the employees was extremely rude to a fellow employee whom tried to help her ring us up. This process took about 10 mins to get through because while all this was happening, the other employees contunued to gossip while people were waiting to be helped.HIRE NEW PEOPLE.

As always, our dinner was outstanding. We ordered the Chicken Salad w/all white meat, Pork Chop Suey Chow Mein, Orange Chicken -all white meat, Szechewan Chicken. I love the giant portions as the family enjoys what little amounts of left overs there are. Weve been regularly coming to this place for over the past 21 years & we love it. I cant say that we have ever had a problem of any kind..

Holy food, Batman! This place gives you a ton of food! We had the Shanghai imperial dinner special and boy, we were not prepared for the amount of food you get. Overall the quality is pretty good! Very delicious. The only complaint I have is they use canned mushrooms in the sizzling rice soup. Odd decision when theyre so cheap. Overall Id highly recommend it!

Food is good, but not worth the price $$$. This place is okay for a one time experience. The food here is pretty good, but there should be absolutely no reason why a side of orange chicken and a half order of chicken salad costs 23 dollars. The same amount of food at an equal quality can be bought at other places nearby for literally half the price.

So disappointed! Ive eaten here for years and loved it. Tonight we ordered Kung Pao Shrimp...3 small shrimp in the first container, none in the second. The fried shrimp were all batter, and the pan-fried noodles tasted as if theyd sat for days. New management? Whatever the reason, it was a waste of $71.00 and the end of a long love affair.

When it comes to Chinese Food. I have a very preferred taste. At the suggestion of a local I tried this place. I thought the Chow Mein was horrible. The fried rice was overcooked. The bbq pork had no flavor, no sauce. I will not eat there again. Still in search of that authentic flavor I love.

When we first moved to Fresno we couldnt find any other Chinese restaurants so we went here. Others have said that the food is good that maybe true but if it is then its not Chinese food! My Mom has also said they were very rude when there was a mix up with a take out order.

My favorite Chinese food in California. The best Chinese chicken salad anywhere. Their orange chicken is the best. When visiting Fresno with friends and family, Shanghai is a must stop. Cant find a decent Chinese restaurant in Los Angeles. And I live there...

Not only is it a dirty restaurant, the food is disgusting and it made me and a few others very sick. I will not ever be going back, i do not recommend it, you can get better quality food and price at a fast food type Chinese restaurant .

Some of the best Chinese food in Fresno. Chinese chicken salad is one of a kind. Hot n Sour soup is awesome. Tomato beef chow mein, braised green beans, fried rice, cashew chicken, sizzling beef are my favorites.
