We decided to try the new Chinese place in town for lunch today. Mistake.... When the wait staff asked if I wanted a drink refill and took my glass from the table they also picked up a glass from another table. The first time I noticed that the glass from the other table had soda in it and I had unsweet tea, so I figured they wouldnt mix them up. The next time my glass was empty and the glass from the other table had tea in it as well, with some left in it. So the waiter brings back the glass and being the optimist I am, I figure all is well he surely paid attention and didnt mix them up. That is, until I take a drink, to my disgust it has a slightly sweet taste, yes you guessed it, like there had been a little sweet tea still in the glass. Yuck....Yuck...Yuck...Nasty....So I call the waiter back and tell him that he has given me the wrong glass, he does say he is sorry, but instead of bringing a fresh glass, he pours out the tea in it, fills it with unsweet tea and brings it back. Not a new glass mind you the same glass, same straw. (So then I started paying attention and noticed that this one waiter was not the only one who picked up glasses from more than one table, they all did.) I was almost finished eating anyway so I just did without any more to drink. Then, when I go to check out I tell the manager that he needs to train his wait staff about not picking up glasses from more than one table at a time, or better yet bring a pitcher to the table and fill the glasses or bring a fresh glass every time. He said "what you complain about? kind of hateful". So I explained it again. He says "who do this?" I tell him that really doesnt matter (I was not trying to get anyone in trouble), that he just needs to train his wait staff how to properly provide refills. But instead of apologizing, he spent the entire time I am waiting to sign my credit card receipt hounding me about who did this. I would not recommend this place to anyone, even though the food was very good.

This is my first online review. The food was old and after being there 15 minutes over half the food had signs on it, saying dinner only. The waitress told us that we couldnt eat fresh food unless we paid the dinner price. This was at 3:00 in the afternoon. We didnt get drink refills after asking several times and when I asked to speak to management while paying the bill, I was treated rudely and dismissed while the woman claiming to be manager spoke in what I am assuming was Chinese to waitress that had not been there or waited on us. I was then told that next time we came in she would tell us that dinner started at 2:45-3:00. So, all in all we paid dinner prices for the leftover lunch food that we hardly touched, had nothing to wash the taste of the chewy and old food out of our mouths, and were treated like we had offended them somehow. This is the SECOND time this has happened at this restaurant as many months. We will NOT be back. Also the bathrooms were dirty and had no paper towels in the dispenser. We are very disappointed. This restaurant used to be quality and had gone downhill fast. I could go on and on about the broken and dripping ice cream machine and several other small things I noticed, but I dont have the time or patience. In short.... The place is disgusting and the food is trash. Dont waste your time or money.

King Garden is my favorite place to eat and the waitresses are top notch and very consistent about checking back with you for drink refills. I see alot of reviews about how unsanitary it is but I have never seen anything like that when I eat there and I go at least twice to three times a month. News flash for the upperclass: alot of the restaurants in West Plains do unsanitary things. Thats what happens when you have under payed, overworked employees trying to keep up with demand. Flies are a reality and they are almost impossible to keep out during the summer for alot of fast food places not just these guys. The literal only problem Ive had with this place is one time my hot tea tasted like watered down coffee with a tea bag in it. I didnt die so I think Ill be fine.

Very unsanitary. They had fly strips up in the kitchen which is not permitted by health codes. Flies do not stick to fly paper 100 percent of the time, allowing them to fall onto food or food contact surfaces. Insect strips contain chemicals in a solid form that emit dangerous vapors. Bathrooms were really nasty. The hostess was extremely rude and unfriendly. The chicken and some of the food was either too cold or really stale. The only good thing was that the waitress was persistence. But that hardly makes up for how horrible the food was.

Very unfriendly staff. Seats were all worn and torn. Restaurant barely had anyone in it and they seated us right next to the sink and cleaning station. I mean the sink us right next to the seat. The food was typical Chinese Buffet. They really conserve on putting food out. I wasnt sure if the food was old or if they were only putting out small amounts. I cant say food was bad, but the experience wasnt great.

I usually am leery of the sushi that has been sitting out on the buffet. Its only ever been so-so. Then I got a takeout menu and ordered sushi to-go, and holy cow, its far and away the best thing Ive ever eaten here. Maybe not as good as Nakatos in Springfield, or Yoshi in Mountain Home, but about the only sushi worth ordering in West Plains. The plain rolls are...plain...but the special rolls are pretty good.

That the waitress came up while were eating . Wanting know who was paying for what an trying fill out the ticket. Very upsetting. Like family gone ripe them off. I brought family there . Cause like the food an have been there several times. Never seen this kind behavior. This happens. Today 9/6/2015. Very displeased by this.

TERRIBLE FOOD DEAD FLYS IN COCO PUDDIN,TERRIBLE DOCTOR PEPPER FOOD WAS JUST TERRIBLE,COLD,NOT FRESH. NOBODY EAT HERE. IF YOU CAN IMAGINE THE HOLOCAUST AS A TASTE THAT IS WHAT IT WOULD TASTE LIKE. They had could good crab ragoon though

Good food usually. Sometimes they dont have the norms as labeled. Such as tilapia under a salmon label. I suspicially was ill after one visit, but it was one out of probably 40 visits, so cant objectively point finger with certainty.

This place has a big selection, so everyone wants to come here. But their quality is mediocre on most things, and every time Ive eaten here, Ive gotten an upset stomach. Go to Chens Garden instead.

The food used to be amazing here. Over the last few years prices have gone up, yet the quality of the food is unpalatable. Not worth the money, best part of our meal the soda.

One of my favorite buffets in West Plains. No drive thru takeout, but they have a hibachi grill that never disappoints. Service is fantastic and food is usually fresh.
