I heard of this place several years ago and had been "threatening" to come over and try it. I am a little on the "plump", heck, FAT, so I really dont need to love a new buffet place. TOO LATE!! Went today with some friends and it was FANTASTIC!! First of all, the price was really unbelievable!! I couldnt believe all of the food for one, low price! Then, I am a salad bar guy and it was super! Some great stuff and it had one of my favorites, carrot/raisin salad. Not too many places do this stuff anymore and it was great. The veggies were very tasty, a couple of them were a little bland, but I guess that is what you have to do, but the mashed potatoes were very good and the brown gravy was good. The fried chicken was a little dry, but I am a white meat person. They had very good fish and shrimp and barbeque ribs. The only negative was the deserts. Not very good banana pudding, and the cakes were only okay. Had good soft serve though. All in all, it was very, very good!

They are redoing the parking lot but didnt mark off the old parking spaces that you cant use anymore, so in the middle of a thunderstorm I, and about 3 other ppl, had to go move our vehicle from parking spots that are clearly marked as parking spots. I checked, there was nothing anywhere stating that u couldnt or shouldnt park there. By the time I got back in I was soaking wet and freezing. My kids couldnt finish their food because I was so cold and had to leave. Managements response to this was sorry, wish there was something I can say other than do u want some napkins... wth.... The food was sub par to. The pie had been sitting out so long that there was liquid in the bottom of the bowls (a lot), the chocolate ice cream was messed us so it comes out as liquid. The corn was mushy, the green beans bland. All in all it was a horrible experience that I paid $30 for. Wont be going back!

We came for their breakfast buffet. The eggs were cold and we could not tell if they were real or powdered. Im not sure what was wrong with them. Everything we tried was cold or greasy, even the French toast. You could see steam come out of the tables, but who knows how long it was out. We did watch them replenish and they just dumped it on top of the old cold stuff. Our waitress smoked. So when she came in from out side she sanitized her hands at the cashier stand. Then came straight to our table and exhaled. It was a lovely aroma which ruined my appetite and reduced her the tip. Do what you want, but find a mint and actually wash your hands. Thoroughly disgusted and unsatisfied. Well go to waffle house next time. They arent great either, but better than barnyard.

Stopped by today to try it for the first time. Wonderful food with a beautiful, clean presentation. The fried chicken was delicious with more food to chose from than one can eat. Great salad bar and dessert bar. The blackberry cobbler was great.. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Twenty dollars plus change for two seniors with drinks included. My new "go to" place for delicious food. Oh, and wear stretch pants.

Everything was great. There wasnt a great deal of variety but what they did have was very well cooked. The place was very clean. The bathrooms were as well. The waitress was very kind. She didnt have a name tag but if she reads this review she will know who she is cause she offered to heat up my grandmothers sprite to room temperature. So the service was good. Will come back when i get back to Alabama.

Im typically not a big fan of buffet style restaurants. But I have to tell you this place is fantastic. If you like traditional Southern Home Cooking this is the spot. The service is very friendly they will go out of their way to help. It really does have the feeling of going to a relatives home. Plus, you know many other Families too.

Very disappointed after reading all the reviews about it being so good. Not home cooked food at all. The food reminds me of a casino buffet or hospital cafeteria. They do have a lot of variety to choose from but not worth the stop. Only Fried chicken available is the leg. Price was ok $11.95 including drink.

Great food and friendly staff; (parents need to watch their Children while they are dining around others), the only thing I would like to see is more space in the facility to hold more people who desire to dine in. Ive waited for a table and watched potential customers walk out due to the lack of seating.

This place is a must if you want really great fried chicken and fish! Very great selection of food. Warm and inviting environment for families. There is something for everyone here and the service is great! Everyone is really friendly and they have the best breakfast in town.

Lovely set up! Its hard to please my 4 year old and she went to town on the fried chicken. Literally finger licking Good! Great staff, very friendly and personable. Great variety of food and well stocked. If we pass through Alabama again we will for sure be stopping in!

if you want amazing fried fish and shrimp. you cant go wrong coming here. the staff are nice and on top of things as well. this is the kinda of place youd make a routine in coming to, because I know I sure have. 5 out of 5. would come again

Really good, but the cabbage is awful. I have complained about it several times. But, nothing has been done to improve the taste if it. I love cabbage, but this is the worst I have ever had. Hope this review will get the right person.

Great food good price gave you a four-star would give you A5 star if you keep the children off of the buffet I know signs are posted its a shame that parents cant read I would give him a copy of the children rules as they pay

Good home cooked wholesome food! Great seafood, cheesy yummy Mac and cheese cornbread turnips rolls with honey butter even desert of all sorts you name it!!! I loved my first time at barn yard with my boyfriend Joe!!!

The food was descent. The chicken was salty and there was a container with melted cheese but no broccoli or anything to put the cheese on. The silverware was dirty. But on the bright side our waitress was wonderful

I wanted to have breakfast here and that option is only available on Saturday and Sunday. Some of us have to work on Saturdays and Sundays. It would be nice if you would serve breakfast on at least Friday too.

Barnyard Buffet has a country feel to it. The staff is very friendly and the food was very good. The dessert bar has lots of choices but doesnt have a home cooked taste. Overall a good place to eat.

I drove over 300 miles because my 13 yr old son loves the variety of home cooking. I did not object. Its my 3rd time to eat here and will not be my last. Great food and super service. JDS
