The parking lot is the most horribly designed one I have ever seen. The drive thru gets up to 15 cars deep which wraps around the building. The cars block off all the parking spots, so you cant get in or out unless someone is kind enough to let you back out. Sometimes there is no more room in the drive thru line because its so long you would be blocking traffic on 5th street if you got in line. I never order anything complicated, but they always seem to get it right. One manager was even kind enough to comp my food because of the wait time in the drive thru. Once I left my debit card there and they kept it for me without issue. HOWEVER, you will spend a minimum of 20 minutes waiting for your drink. Even if they are empty. I am standing there and waiting for my drink and half the employees are standing around vacuuming up coffee beans and wiping down counters instead of making a simple drink! If you are ordering online, do not believe the wait time. Use this formula instead. Take the minimum wait time, multiply it by four, and add two. (For instance, if your order says "ready in 4-7 minutes," it will actually be ready in 18.) I think its because they do not properly train employees and they have a very high turnover rate. In the drive thru, the average wait time is around 4-5 minutes a car. Take this into account if youre getting a latte on the way to work. If you order inside, the line is atrocious. They seem to heavily favor drive thru orders over online or front counter orders, for whatever reason. The inside is always clean with good seating both inside and outside, although it can get a bit cramped on the weekends. They do not put your online orders on the online order counter most of the time, so you have to manually check the labels on the sides of the cups until you find yours. ALL of their food is made off site. They simply warm it up. Do not order breakfast food past breakfast or lunch sandwiches past lunch: they are old and stale. I do enjoy the banana nut bread, although its incredibly fattening, and you have to request that they not heat it up for you first.

The service at the St. Charles Starbucks is hit or miss. Sometimes there are some great baristas who mix the drinks really well with efficiency, and other times there is a sloppy attitude and demeanor that comes out in the drink results. Several times Ive ordered a beverage with only one or two minor changes and it still gets made incorrectly. Other times everything is stellar and the baristas are on top of their game. It honestly depends on who is working that day and what time of day it is. I notice in the late afternoon- evening there are a few regular baristas who truly act like goofy high school kids and mess up because of it. A little more of an "Im at work" attitude would benefit them. Side note, the parking lot/drive through situation is a hot mess. It gets so easily clogged and doesnt have clear pathways to get in and out of the parking spaces. Whoever chose to put the local Starbucks here is not very good at city planning.

Very slow service, had to wait somewhere close 10 minutes for my order, cashier zoned out while I was ordering, seating area is crowded, but not in the sense of a lot of people, in the sense that theres barely any space for the tables and chairs, much less for people. To make matters worse, the drink pickup counter is on top of the seating area, making it uncomfortable for everyone. With the amount of people waiting for orders, the entrance was getting blocked! Very bad layout inside and outside. Worst parking lot Ive ever seen! No space to maneuver vehicles, especially with the drive-in cutting through what little space you have to maneuver and to get back on the road is a nightmare! If you must come to this one, park elsewhere and walk. As a matter of fact, look for another store or come when you know its empty.

I really really wish this place didnt suck so much because it is within walking distance from my office. The drive thru/parking lot is an absolute nightmare, the average wait is abotu twenty seven minutes whihc has made me late for work 3 times! As if that werent enough they over staff this location, which while it warms my heart to see people actually having a good time with their coworkers, also pisses me off when only 2/7ths of the baristas are working. Did I mention the trashcan was overflowing while they were discussing how best to deal with a creepy ex-boyfriend?! anyways. I love starbucks but unless you are going there to read, study, or just chillax on their spacious patio AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!!! COORPORATE OF YOU CAN SEE THIS SEND HELP!!!!!!!!

Worst Starbucks to go to during busy hours. This is the slowest Starbucks I have ever been to and its getting worse. Sat in the drive thru line for 2 min and no movement. Decided to go inside and waited 10 min for the worst cappucino Ive ever had and a breakfast sandwich. This was around 7am. Then I was blocked in my parking spot by the drive thru line and had to wait to leave. Give yourself PLENTY of time if stopping by this location. And this is my usual routine stop on Fri mornings and it has progressively gotten worse.

As far as Starbucks go this one seems to be pretty slow. A couple of the employees seem barely awake and are not moving very quickly. I fully understand not hurrying and making mistakes, but they need to be more efficient in their roles. The last couple times have been better, but I still expect my order ahead to be done when I have given them plenty of time. If I could offer one piece of advice to the manager it would be not to put the new person on the register during the morning rush…that is very frustrating.

I went there for a gift card. The person that checked me out was very friendly, but I couldnt get over the fact that there were tons of little flies in the food disply case. That was gross and I would never eat or drink anything from the there. I could understand if there was maybe one fly flying around the restaurant or even if one fly was stuck in the food case, but when I tell you there were at least ten flies moving in that case and theres no way they could have not seen that, I mean it. It was disgusting.

I am very disappointing in the service I got today, I go to Starbucks several times a week before work and I will now bring my business elsewhere because of this indecent that happened today. The lady at the window (Who said her name was Michelle) was impatient and extremely rude. She even told me "I shouldnt sit in a drive through for five minutes because its very rude" when I was there for more like 2. Im just really disappointing considering the staff at this location is used to be very friendly.

I have been going to this store for years now. Everyone for the most part are very friendly.. But as for as getting my drink made right I have to go to Brendon and Michelle there is a special way my drink has to be made to taste the way I like it. Thanks to these two others at the store is learning the right way to make my drink. I can not say enough about these two employees. Starbucks should be proud to have such committed employees.
