I have eaten here many times before today and the food was great, it was very good today as well. The problem was we arrived at the restaurant at 3:45 pm. A young oriental man came rushing over to our table a little after 4 pm and asked if we were having lunch special or dinner? We had been eating for about 25 minuets. We said dinner, he left. 5 minuets later an older oriental woman asked us the same question we gave the same answer she left. A short time later the young man came rushing over to the table next to us and asked the same question, they said the lunch special. He launched into them saying you cant have shrimp, you cant have the fish so-on because those are dinner items only!! He was terribly rude. Then he said "Ill let you off the hook this time but never again". Then I realized that lunch must have stopped while we were eating and dinner started. There must be a price difference. HE WAS WATCHING WHAT PEOPLE WERE GETTING OFF THE BUFFET AND CHASING THEM DOWN TO RAISE HELL WITH THEM! I checked and there was nothing to tell people when their menu items changed or when the prices changed, anywhere. When we got our bill, it had been modified to reflect the higher dinner time price even though we got there during lunch time hours. I asked about it when we paid and was told, rather rudely, that lunch stops at 3:55 I will never go back there, the treatment of the other customers around us was appalling, their employees need to learn common sense manners. I am a calm person but had he been that rude with me I would have likely wound up arrested for assault and battery.

I was craving Chinese Food and heading to the Casino from St.Peters. I dropped by to place my lunch order and was told by the rude lady,(ladys not the appropriate word), behind the counter to have a seat at a middle booth. Another woman, who barely knew the English alphabet asked me if I wanted a drink. I pointed to the menu and told her, "lunch special",,,,she responded, "6-5-0, 6-5-0,,,to which I responded and pointed "4-7-5, 4-7-5",,,,She communicated to the other woman , and I was told that I would have to carry the food out if I wanted it for that price. Ive never been told to leave a restaurant, not allowed to eat THEIR food in THEIR restaurant, not to mention that they have their menu posted on the window with no comment about having to carry out the food. I placed the order anyway as I was starting to get dizzy with hunger-pangs, wondering if my stomach would ache as much from the food I was about to receive as compared to the service. As I waited for the order, I contemplated where I would sit once I left the establishment, because I wasnt going to risk spilling food in my vehicle. I ended up at the St.Charles Riverfront at a picnic table with cool air blowing on me and the food, and the hot sun beating down on my shaved head and further drying out the already dried and tasteless General Tsos dish. If there was a star below "poor", I would have checked it....If youre looking for tasteful food in a tastefully decorated Chinese restaurant, go to "China Star" in Harvester Square.

I feel like i have to weigh in, because this place was given a low score that they dont deserve. I live in the complex across the street and absolutely love this place. Me, my daughter, sister, girlfriend, her kids, and my niece, all go quite often. You can order off a menu or get buffet. Buffet food is always fresh and they stock it regularly. The selection is huge too! They have the expected Americanized Asian foods, a sushi bar, an American/Euro food selection, then they have rarities like frog legs & clams, a dessert bar, a fruit bar, and one day out of the week they have all you can eat snow crab for 12 bucks. Thats a steal! I can eat crab like nobodys business. All the people complaining about kids seating you is stupid. Its a family business, and therefore its not illegal. Who cares if a kid seats you anyway? Its not like its a sweat shop or anything. They are always nice and the prices are reasonable. Man, all this talk about them is making me hungry. I think I might just walk up there. :-)

Horrible customer service! The lady took my order and said " You can go sit down". Excuse me ? Im an adult. If I want to sit then I will sit. She did not even thank me for my order or even choosing to dine there. The lady at check in counter was on her cell phone babbling her fat mouth and did not tell me that my order was ready. I sat there 20 minutes while my order sat there on the table unoticed And getting cold while the lady was chatting on the phone. I confronted her and told her this was unacceptable and she pretended like she didnt speak English. Even though I didnt dine in i took a look at the buffet and everything looked VERY old and COLD. That food looked as though it had been sitting there. No kids menu. Everything was picked over. The lighting was bad, place was very hot and muggy. STAY AWAY FROM HERE.

If it was possible to rate this place lower than one star, I would. There wasnt a big selection of food and the food they did have was dry and unappetizing. There were barely any good crab legs for anyone to get because they werent being refilled. We were showed to our seats by a thirteen-year-old kid who didnt say a word to us. Then the waitress that continued to wait on us didnt speak to us but she spoke to the other customers. My family and I didnt enjoy hearing a lady yell the F word in the middle of the place because she dropped her food. On top of it all, the waitress took our plates and ten farted right by us. Talk about gross. The whole meal was more than fifty dollars. It was a complete waste of money and time

I give this place 5 stars because I have never went to it based on its reviews and just generally being skeptical of trying new Chinese places. However once china king on elm street started getting worse and worse with their food. We finally tried this place and compared to China king this place was amazing. Food was much better tasting. A little pricier for the buffet but worth it. It was like $10 for all you can eat vs. China king I think is a couple dollar cheaper. I had the crispy chicken, general chicken, noodles, crab ragoon, and egg rolls. All way better tasting than other places I have tried in st. Charles. I am upset I didnt try this place sooner.

I was in town for the weekend... I should have stopped at the door the smell from this place was very fishy but the party I was with wanted to try it so we went in we was seated by a no more than a 12 year old kid ... We all order the buffet and water ... When we get to the buffet every thing looked like its been sitting for hours or picked through ... What I did get either had no flavor or tasted terrible hot and sour soup was cool not warm at all ... Nothing was appealing here I will never set foot in that store again ohh by the way very expensive for 3 people with water was $47 .... Gross
