My friend and I went there this morning for a late breakfast. First impressions werent that great. No sign asking patrons to seat themselves and no greeting when we walked in - one of the servers mumbled something about sitting anywhere. Seating was limited because most of the tables were still dirty, even though there were four people (including the bartender) working the front-of-house. Its a bit dark and dismal in the restaurant - I understand that this place is supposed to have a "pub" atmosphere, but Ive been to dive bars that had better lighting. It took about five minutes for our server to greet us at the table, even though the people who came in after us were served almost immediately. My friend ordered the Orange Sunrise (a take on a Tequila Sunrise) and I ordered the Morning Mover (coffee with Rum Chata Liqueur). It took about 15 minutes to get the drinks we ordered (I guess the bartender forgot about our drink order as he was making drinks for other patrons sitting at the bar who also showed up after us). My friends Orange Sunrise tasted like fruit punch and my Morning Mover tasted like cinnamon coffee with whipped cream. My friend ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese waffle sandwich with a side of fries and I ordered the sweet potato nuggets (tots) and the "Bluebird," puff pastry topped with cream cheese, blueberries, bananas, granola, and a drizzle of honey on top At most places, wed expect to wait 20 minutes, maybe 30 if the place was packed (which it wasnt). It took almost an hour for us to get our food. My friend said that his waffle was room temperature and his fries were a little bit warmer. The "Bluebird" I ordered was equally unimpressive; room temperature puff pastry, soggy granola, bananas that tasted green, and canned blueberries that were cold (for the price I was paying, I figured theyd be fresh). The sweet potato nuggets had some potential, but they were also room temperature. This place is marketed and priced as an upscale eatery serving breakfast, brunch, and lunch; however, compared to similar places, it comes across as a dive bar with a few "fancy" items on the menu that are prepared by people who dont have a clue. The only things missing that would have completed the "dive bar" vibe were a jukebox, pool tables, and a dart board.

Fabulous food, TERRIBLE SERVICE. We arrived & were told the wait would be about 15 minutes. I asked why and the waitress said, "There are tables open outside, but they just need to be wiped down because they are wet." So she goes and proceeds to clean a two person table inside, when no one in line was wanting a two person table. Another waitress had forgotten to put someone on the list for a table, and they had been waiting forever to be seated. Obviously, they were a little upset and the waitress tells the other, "This guy is being an a**hole." Good thing the man didnt hear her, but I did. The same waitress turns to me and with a unsavory tone almost exclaims, "Can I help you?!" I was just waiting for my table. So, then the same waitress snatches up some napkins and menus and starts walking to a table and says quietly to NO ONE something along the lines of, "Follow me." We were thinking she was going to seat the party who was waiting forever, but she whips around and snaps at us because we didnt follow her. THEN, we got to our table and the seats had food all over them. We couldnt get the attention of the staff, so I took my cloth and wiped down our seats and placed the cloth on the floor next to the wall. I would have given it to someone had there been anyone around. It then took such a long time to get our food. At the end of the meal, I had put cantaloupe on the table temporarily because I couldnt get to the scarce pineapple and single grape in my cup (cheap). So the waitor that we had who had been completely amazing says, "Youre not just going to throw those on the ground too, are you?" I just laughed because I was kinda embarrassed. No, Im not going to be putting a cloth that I used to clean off chairs on the table Im eating on. I cleaned up my cantaloupe after I was finished with my food. Left a full tip and left. Great food, but the waitress with burgundy hair who was unnecessarily rude, the air headed waitress who was piddling around and took 15 minutes to get us an OPEN table, and the snarky waitor made this experience the worst restaurant experience of my life.

I want to rate this place higher because the food is so amazing, but the service here (or what we experienced this morning) is atrocious. I brought my mom in because I had been here once before and had had a good experience. We waited the expected time for a seat (15-20 minutes) and placed our orders pretty quickly. After an hour of waiting for food and a good 40 minutes since our waiter checked on us, I stopped a random waitress and explained to her that we had been waiting for about an hour and that I couldnt help but notice that everyone around us, who was seated after us, had already gotten and eaten their food. I was calm, didnt raise my voice at all, was genuniely wondering. She gave me some lame excuse about the patio.. about how when its open, they push the food out there first. Ok, I understand that. But I sat here and watched a group seated 45 minutes after us get their food before us. She came back explaining that they had a new food runner and he got confused. Our order finally came up. Like I said before, the food was amazing. But we werent discounted for anything. We got a measly apology from the waitress that wasnt even our waitress. It would be totally different if they were just honest about either losing or missing our order, but they werent. And they charged us full price. We wont be coming back again.

It was just okay. Seemed like decent quality ingredients, but it lacked "pizazz". They need some unique sauces or tastes to go with their dishes. It just tasted like something anyone could make. Granted, I ordered something fairly "safe" - the Breakfast Club, which was eggs, cheddar, bacon (which was great), and bacon butter (which I couldnt really taste at all) on French toast. But it was pretty bland. Again, seemingly good quality ingredients, but nothing special about the taste. My husband ordered the el Tacos, which was alright, but the pico de gallo had tons of onions and not many tomatoes. Not sure if there was supposed to be cilantro in their mixture or not, but he couldnt really taste any (which he was bummed about because he loves cilantro). We both had the Sweet Potato Nuggs as our side and those were tasty. I did love their inexpensive a la carte menu - made it very easy to put together a kids plate for my little one. And they serve Brick and Mortar coffee, which is excellent. Its supposedly like the new "hip" breakfast place to eat at in Springfield. Lots of people talking about it all over Facebook, and there was a constant long wait the entire time we were there. But it was just average, and the final bill wasnt cheap.

Food was delicious. We walked in around 2:30, hour and a half before close. We were greeted and told to sit wherever wed like, floor was very open with plain seating and decor. Our waitress came, took drink orders, and brought our drinks instantly, took our order and we started with Monkey Bread which was soo tasty and fresh. My co-diners water ran our and we spotted our waitress eating bacon in the corner of the bar by the beverage area and we starred her down til she realized and brought some water. Our food came which was Bacon Egg Benedict and Bacon Breakfast Tacos, both AGAIN delicious. I would definitely ask for my hash browns crispy next time.. Now we are half through our meal both full & I am out of my drink, again our server as well as all the other servers are hanging round the end of the bar, so I walk up to the bar to retrieve my own drink. All in all good food, bad service.
