Edit: just got 2fried rice in less than 10 min. So I guess it is not always slow. 1 out of 3 visits. My two cents: The fried rice seems to be about the best reason to come here. For sure, try the Jumangi. The downside is you are guaranteed to always wait at least 20 minutes even when ordering fried rice. As far as other dishes go they seem to have a complete complement of nearly anything that any other Asian restaurant might have. Although the one dish I did order was moderately flavored nothing particularly special didnt really stand out in particular way. I cant say the restaurant is bad in anyway but the wait definitely not something I think most of us enjoy. Most of us are familiar with the restaurant that has maybe a larger kitchen where when you order it takes about 10 minutes, probably less to get your meal many times over I can get a complete meal prepared, and about 7 to 10 minutes for many other Asian restaurant. Something else this place may not have going for it is on the outside it looks like an ultra-modern Asian restaurant but on the inside it looks like its having an identity crisis between an ultra-modern Asian restaurant, a dive bar, and a pizza shop. For sure I dont think that the food heat lamps the beer rack on the neon beer signs in the window are really helping sell the place as an Asian restaurant. As for the staff timer comma I have no complaints they are usually friendly a mixed crowd of Early College High School not really quite sure definitely the kind of folks you might expect to find running running a Gumbies pizza shop. I think if they could cure the Dive Bar / pizza shop image and improve wait times while maintaining quality of the food, and maybe adding a slight dash of flavor to the meals, the place would probably be more enjoyable.

Ive only had this place once and it was a horrible experience you get 8pcs of chicken in the combo plates and thats a first most places have the whole compartment filled so I felt like that was a rip off considering the combo plate is $7 and some change. Also I ordered the cheesecake ragoons and got cheese steak wontons with powder sugar on top. Also i got an eggroll with my plate and its suppose to come with ragoons. When I call to tell them about my experience and that I was unhappy being a first time customer, The manager acted like she could care less, very ghetto and rude.(You can be nice and still be ghetto) the Manager is very rude and unprofessional They did replace the order a gave me two weeks two claim it . I call up there today to get it and they thought I already picked it up and the manager (so she claims to be) was still rude AF I will never come back to this place and would never in a million years suggest it to anyone. This is St. Louis and there are so many more places were you actually get what you pay for and nice service.

Rice house on lindbergh had a bug on my food they never refunded me. I tried the rice house in Maryland heights off Dorset ... Worst customer service ever! Because of their negligence my duck n noodles juice spilled out of the paper container .... Who puts a liquid in paper ?! How stupid! I called the manger they claim it was my fault ghetto ass black staff. ( Im black too) the manager cursed me and sent me on my wy without a refund nor credit ... You think them seeing the evidence on my phone of all the food being ruined bcs of their negligence theyd help yeah right they showed no sympathy nor credit me for the mishap on their part .. Ill never spend money at rice house and will continue to spread the word about the bugs and horrible customer service

Where do I begin, lets see? First, the wait for ordering is ridiculously long...30 minutes for one combo plate...I didnt mind at first, because I assumed that meant my food would be hot...nope...COLD fried rice and eggroll! Second, the KIDS, running between the restaurant dining area and the kitchen has to be a health violation of some kind given the sneezing one of them was doing. They were one of the workers kids...one of them called him DAD. Third and final, only because Im tired of typing this, the kitchen worker came out of the kitchen running his hands through his nappy dreads, then went back in the kitchen to continue cooking...VERY UNSANITARY!! MY first and last visit!! Just sad...

They have small portions of food for high prices then I complained about the small portions compared to the price im paying and what you would get at any other Chinese restaurant. it was the head manager of the place who had denied me a bigger portion of meat ,and repeatedly told me that was the portion size . I asked for a refund and he glady gave me a refund so that means he would rather have a unhappy customers leaving and never returning to the restaurant than a happy customer leaving his restaurant. That is poor customer service, for a rich price. I refuse to spend money at a place like this.

Ordered here for the 2nd time. First time, I ordered the Garlic Chicken, less spicy. It was alright, in a good way. However, the 2nd time I ordered, I got their Pho Beef & Duck Special. Delicious!! However - I didnt know you werent supposed to put ALL the sauce in the dish....which is sriracha and hoisin sauce. It was REALLY SPICY. However, it had amazing flavor and I was eager to order it again. Only gave them 4 stars because I waited about 30 minutes for my food. But I did get to watch an amusing kung-fu meets soccer film while I waited, so not a total loss. :)

Ive never had a bad experience here. I live close by and we eat here quite often. We usually get the Jerk St. Paul, the Angrybird St. Paul though my guy says its been off lately...sorry. I get veggie fried rice and he gets the veggie with shrimp fried rice. I love their Rangoon and he says theyre aight... All in all its pretty good. My only problem with the Rice Housebis THEY CLOSE WAY TO EARLY!!! Its 8:30 and theyre closing in 30 minutes... And they close early during the week.... only reason for a 4 instead of a 5 rating. Hopefully that will change SOON...

My food was good. But the bread on my St. Paul sandwich was stale. Kids said General Taos tasted like it was from a bottle at the grocery store. Service was very, very slow. Like one plate at a time slow, and there were 11 of us. But the place wasnt even busy. Couldnt get refills when we asked, and some were for beers, which means more money. Ordered Hot Braised Shrimp and only got 4 pieces of shrimp. And you have to pay extra for that? When we said something to the waitress, she got kinda snotty about it. Wont be back!

I tried the rice house today for the first time at dorsett someone told me it was good. I asked for wings and got this red dye. So i called and said i just wanted regular chicken if i knew it was that way i wouldnt have order it and she transferred me to the next girl who said "so what you wanna do?" so i asked for a sup she said she would take down my name and replace it and hung up on me before i could say anything other food was great, but i will never go back or recommend poor customer service trumps everything
