Drive through on a Saturday night. Made purchase online. Stated 20 minutes until ready so we showed up at drive through in 20 minutes. Guy asked for name on order, found our ticket, and told us it would be 20 minutes. Obviously hadnt started order. Ok not great, but thats not worth getting too upset. Then waited for 30 minutes. No food. A car then pulled up behind us. We didnt want to make them wait in case their order was already ready so we asked the guy at the window if we should pull around the block. He told us to park and he would bring our food out. So we pulled over to a parking spot on the right, adjacent to the drive through. We see the other car get a bag of food within minutes and drive off. We wait 15 more minutes, still parked, still no food. We see that same car come back, hand the bag of food back to the guy at the window and exchange for a different bag of food. So then we drove back up to the window, confirm the order again, and the guy gave us THE SAME BAG THAT CAME OUT OF THE OTHER CAR. I then asked him if the bag he was giving us was the same food that came out of the other car and he apathetically said "yeah" and turned to go about his business or lack there of. No initiative to do the right thing in any way. Unbelievable. We could have thrown a fit and made a scene, but opted not to...but this is an honest account of the interaction and terrible service. Edamame was cold. Was too grossed out to eat the rest. Waste of $43. Wont be back. Too bad. Have lived in Maplewood for 9 years and this is home. Will support other establishments who dont hire and keep lackadaisical employees.

Very small restaurant. Not many tables available for costumers. Staff is very nice and friendly. Perfect for a Cold night out. Heat was blasting inside the restaurant with poor ventilation, this made the windows very foggy and unpleasent to sit next to. Aromas from the kitchen filled up the whole restaurant. Ordered pork broth, salt and pepper Ramen. The broth is very rich, creamy, and flavorful, but after a while it gets overwhelming and this makes it hard to finish. Noodles were saugey, bland, and all around werent that great, which was disappointing. Overall, the ramen is decent and I would like to try some of the other broth flavors such as their Miso broth, along with others offered, possibly with a different style of noodle. Worth giving a try, will be back to try again. Especially with such a large variety from other soups, a huge selection of sushi, and delicious Japanese bbq. (We ordered pork belly *delicious*, quail egg, and homemade chicken meatballs, all served in a kabob style.)

My wife and I are new to St. Louis and this place has 4.6 stars so we decided to try it. That was that a mistake. We ordered spring rolls as an appetizer, my wife ordered a roll, and I order a custom ramen to try it out. The roll tasted fresh and well made but lacked creativity and, most importantly, flavor. My soup was simply atrocious; the was absolutely no flavor to any of it. The chicken on top was high quality but dry and needed some kind of seasoning (have you ever heard of salt and pepper?!). I cant really comment on the spring rolls because they never showed up. I like quality food and a good dining experience and I would highly advise people to take their time and money elsewhere.

There was a nice variety of food options. We had a ramen bowl with pork based broth Shia style adding in spinach and it was very tasty. We also had a beef yakitori skewer which was good and the Japanese fried chicken with rice flavored with teriyaki. I also had a couple pieces of sushi which were delicious. Needless to say we left with our bellies overstuffed and we still had plenty to take home for leftovers. Best part was the price was very reasonable. My only complaint was that the service was a bit slow but they are a smaller restaurant and I cant fault them for being busy since myself and others likely will keep coming back for a great meal.

I found Sekisui. I found Sekisui. So, I had been eyeing this place for some time because theyre always busy when I drive by. Decided to eat there for dinner one night and was surprised at how small it is inside. So just prepare to be close because the food is worth it. While talking to my helpful server, he told us that the owners were the same owners of Sekisui from Grand and Arsenal that closed down. Sekisui was my go to sushi spot in STL. Back to my review, the place is small but the food is delicious. They have sushi as well as seaweed salad and chicken katsu. Everything is fresh and the ramen wont disappoint.

Would recommend, but get the service together. Wait time was about 15-20 minutes to order and another 15 or so minutes to receive order. I went about 6 pm on a weekday. There was only one server/waiter. The store could not support the traffic. Inside seating was too smoky so we sat outside, which was nice. The St Louis roll was the one with the salmon on top. I also got a roll called Firebird or something...if Im not mistaken. I enjoyed both, but the St. Louis roll was definitely my favorite. Would definitely recommend. One of the few places Ive had good sushi in St. Louis.

A Frequent costumer. I have yet to find a Ramen place that tops this one. The food is very flavorful and delicious with great pricing. Ive spoken with the owner once and learned some great fun facts about the place. Robata wont disappoint. I can only hope they relocate to a bigger place in a few years. Also note there is a drive-thru for to go orders! (YES!)

This place is amazing. Open late and dont worry about going in to close to closing time. They are amazing here. Great customers and great customer service go hand and hand! Need anything special just ask, my wife and I love all the employees. Our first time was a little overwhelming and the staff was more than helpful understanding it. Give them a try!

It was okay. I was excited to go there and went for my birthday but the fried squid tentacles had the joints still in them which were very chewy and had too much cartilage to enjoy. The ramen was good but the noodles were no different than ordinary store bought ramen noodles. The fried cheese cake they gave for my birthday was delicious though.

This is hands-down the best sushi restaurant (in the Midwest) Ive been to. The prices are exceptionally reasonable, and the service is good. The fish is always fresh, but the vegetarian rolls (especially the sweet potato) are a delicious, welcome change from the usual sushi. The ramen is fantastic, and for $8-$10, a great price for a huge meal.

Best Sushi hands down... A huge selection of rolls and sashimi at decent prices. It is a small place so expect a wait.... to avoid that use the Nowait App to reserve your spot; problem solved... if not, put your name on the list, walk across the street to Schlafly for a drink and theyll call you when your table is ready!
