My boyfriend and I went to Bar Louie today. We sat outside the patio was not that full. Nobody came to us for 30 minutes. So I had to get up and ask a waitress if we can have a server. He finally came we ordered drinks and it took them 45 minutes to bring my boyfriend a lemonade. Same story when we ordered food took them a hour to bring us food. I dont know why we end up coming here over and over again when the service is so horrible for us each and every time. You are better off going to the Bar Louie in CWE the service there is much better, but we just come here because the outside seating is nice. I am coming to the conclusion that these servers are just plain rude and inattentive to us because we are in our 20s so they probably think we dont tip well or that we dont have money, even though our car is the most expensive one in the lot and we like OVERTIPPING people that are kind and make us enjoy our meal. The reason why I came to this conclusion is because there was an older couple sitting at the table right next to us and they were being treated like king and queen the server was all over them and they got their food brought to them in timely manner and just by observing the rest of the tables the older customers/couples do seem to get much more attention. Also the staff is unskilled and very lazy they hang around the restaurant and chat with each other or they leave and smoke in the middle of serving you and you are left waiting like an idiot. Like I stated before this wasnt just an off day I would not spend my time writing this review otherwise, but I am just beyond pissed off because it is the same story every time we go and we go almost every weekend. If you want your weekend lunch or dinner to be ruined and leave upset/enraged then this Bar Louie is perfect for you!

The service here is nonexistent. We have been here a few times, given them chance after chance since we live in the area. But this past Sunday will be the last time we ever visit Bar Louies. We walk in and go directly to the bar and order drinks (thats the only way you will have one within the first 20 minutes upon sitting down because the service is terrible). We let them know were eating outside, get an ok from the bartender, and head out to the patio with our menus. 30 minutes later NO ONE has even checked on us. And there was another couple out there as well!! Same situation with them. So very disappointed, but luckily there are tons of other amazing restaurants in Kirkwood to choose from.

Came here for a work happy hour on 2/16. There were about 15 of us at 2 tables in the bar. We had one server who was completely overwhelmed. Despite ordering 3-4 drinks at a time, we would receive beers individually or not at all. At one point, I had to check on my order of a rum and coke twice due to the long wait. The appetizers were good and easy to share. In some cases, the food arrived before the drinks. Im not sure if we caught them on a bad night with short staff, but ultimately the long wait times made it difficult to enjoy, and we will not return with a group.

It took 20 minutes for a server to get to our table. And when she finally did, she was not very friendly or apologetic. We were seated on the patio, and when our food came, the server did not give us any water. Since a martini doesnt do a great job of washing down nachos, I had to go to the bar to get my own water. Pretty bad service all around. Nachos were the only saving grace. They were great.

Visited three or four times over the past two years. Most recent visit, sat at the bar, bartender/manager, not much on personality, drink mix for my wife not what she ordered. Pricey for the service and food quality. Do not sit at the bar, way too cold, a/c blasting right on you no matter where you sit - maybe that is why we were the only ones sitting at the bar.

This is one of the few late night dining places around Kirkwood, so we visit occasionally around 11pm, mostly for food. Even with hardly anyone there, service is horrendous. The food is mostly suburban "contemporary" fare - sliders, pork tacos, and so on. And appetizers and desserts are completely overpriced - a chicken wing appetizer was $10.

Wow, came here several months ago, and had lousy (slow) service and cold food (that was supposed to be hot). Today I game them another chance, and so far have been waiting 30 minutes for the food in an almost empty dining room. I expect the hot food to be cold, and if it is, or seems reheated in the microwave, I will walk out never to return.

Service was a bit slow, but in general, the food was good. I had the fish tacos and they need a different brand of tortillas. The tortillas are very thin and dried out. I suggest they go to any Mexican restaurant and see how they handle tortillas. BLT sandwich was good and quite large. It is nice to sit outside on good weather days.

Thank you Bar Louie! As a veteran, I am very grateful for our great country and the businesses that support our military. Today I was the recipient of a complimentary voodoo chicken sandwich. It was a great sandwich and Ill be back for another soon. The Schlafy pumpkin ale was awesome as well. Thank you

We missed happy hour by 2 minutes so drinks were regular price. $5.50 a beer and $9 a cocktail. Dollar burger night would have been cool but you had to pay extra for each topping and the bun wasnt even toasted. Service was hit and miss. Generally it was an ok experience, as I expected it to be.

This is the epitome of a "trendy" place that has mediocre food, high prices and a rude wait staff that try to use their looks to cover the fact they are bad servers. Super dry burger took almost an hour to get after ordering and I spent the entire meal with an empty glass.

The Sliders were tasty, but the burger portion was less than half the size of the bun. The Chicken Nachos were made with cheapo chips and nasty, liquid cheese. The rest of the toppings were good. This Tempura Shrimp were fine, but who wants Franks Hot Sauce on Shrimp?

Ordered pick up, two entrees and an appetizer. It was the Worst calamari Ive had in my life it was very hard and impossible to chew. We also didnt like our entrees at All. Service wasnt bad or anything but I was surprised how bad the food was. Will not go again.

Service is slow, party of 9 for my daughters 22nd Birthday! I ordered a BLTT? 4 pieces of Bacon about an inch and a quarter long 2 on each half of the sandwich! No one in our party was really happy! As it was my first time there, I can also say it was my last!

Tables arent cleaned off until 15 minutes after the next group sits down. Dirty dishes are everywhere. Takes 20 minutes for a drink order to be brought. No sense of urgency amongst any employees. Mediocre, over-priced food with futile service.
