HORRIBLE. Went there for brunch Sunday and had one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. Once sat, we waited nearly 20 minutes to get coffee or have a server acknowledge our existence. Then, we were asked to move so that our table for two could be pushed together with another to seat a group of four. THEN while approaching the 40 minute mark and waiting for our order, our server told us we should complain to the owner -THE SERVER TOLD US THIS. Turns out, the server lost the order/ticket - never turned it in. The owner tried to make this right by giving us a 15.00 gift card. When we told him no thanks he followed us - AGAIN FOLLOWED US - to the parking lot in a confrontational manner claiming you have never broken break with me so dont know this isnt common. Lord knows what that means, but I can say this - I WILL NEVER EVER EVER go back to that place. NEVER.

I had heard they old owner was back and was expecting a much better experience than my last visit, but that wasnt the case. My wife and son enjoyed their pancakes and cookies, but my food was fairly tasteless. I feel like Ive had better biscuits and gravy at McDonalds. The gravy was somewhat spicy but lacked any flavor at all. The orange tinge to it didnt make it appetizing. But the sin of a place with "Cookie" in its name was my snicker doodle cookie that was overly moist (more like wet) and not cooked enough to be called a cookie. The extremely close quarters meant I was bumped by patrons and waitresses my entire meal.

Visited today and got breakfast and lunch items. We got there around 10 am and got the only table open but it cleared out a bit after we got started. There wasnt a wait at all while we were there. If you order a lunch item, you get a mini cookie/muffin basket with your food, but you dont get anything if you order breakfast only. There should be a muffin basket with the breakfast! The food was really good, but if the owner were reading this I would tell them I would recommend switching the plain wheat bread used on the turkey club to some sort of fresh homemade style bread, it would be a lot better!

A very cozy, local place that does a nice breakfast and lunch. From 1 patron reading the KC Star while enjoying handmade biscuits & gravy to a party of 6 seated comfortably with coffee and the daily specials, the Classic Cookie serves all with a genuine smile and basket of fresh mini muffins, smartly referred to as "goodies". Highlights include savory, well seasoned dishes like the smoked Mac & Cheese special, the Chicken Casserole topped with spot on bread stuffing. A bakery case in flux with rapidly stocked then procured muffins, cookies and rolls is an additional treat.

First time coming to this small dinner and Im at a wow factor very good food makes you feel at home and the food brings you back on in on a Sunday morning with the family eating breakfast like I said great what a great place highly recommended this place!!!!!!!!!!!!! KATIE IS AN AWESOME SERVER

We found this tiny gem in KC. It was small, with only maybe 10 tables, but it was so good. For a small breakfast /lunch place they had great options. You dont see three different versions of Eggs Benedict everywhere. We hope to find our way back here soon.

I went here this morning with my best friend. I must say this place is awesome. Service was great and the food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was welcoming and everyone was friendly. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Was visiting from dallas and found this adorable hole in the wall! Food was good with healthy options. Friendly service and atmosphere. If parfait would of been a little larger with greek yogurt the experience would of been perfect!

Great local breakfast/lunch restaurant. My wife loved the eggs benadict with the turkey. Pancakes had the option of fresh fruit that was good despite it being February. Small quant shop that also sells amazing cookies and muffins.

Waited 55 minutes for our order and eventually left without ever getting fed. There are too many good local breakfast places that communicate better and this wasnt the only time it happened. They should invest in a second cook.

Cozy atmosphere with character. Solid food. Agree with others, gravy needs some work for more flavor. Owners are usually in there and are friendly. Oh yeah... And the cookies! Chocolate chocolate all the way.

Not very big but excellent food and service. The portions are really large and they have no problem making substitutions if asked. My wife and I will certainly be making this a regular breakfast spot.

Great food and daily specials. Caters to families and children. They have sippy cups for the little ones. Make sure to get the muffin and cookie basket with breakfast or it comes free with lunch. Awesome.
