Today I received a flyer from New China Star restaurant in my mailbox; then I decided to try it out for the first time. Unfortunately it was a disappointing experience; firstly it took them like 1 hour and a half to delivery my order; secondly, I ordered Chicken with Mixed Veggies(plate #: R2) and Chicken with Garlic Sauce(plate #:R6) so these two Dinner Combination Plates are supposed to be served with fried rice and spring roll, crab rangoon, instead of fried rice I got white rice and I didnt even receive the spring roll. As you can see in one of the photos, there is more veggies than chicken, it should then be called Mixed veggies with chicken and skin. Thirdly , the cover page of the flyer says: Free 1 order Crab Rangoon Purchase over $28.00 Excluding Delivery Charge, so I didnt receive that promotion item either, as my bill was like $30. I forgot to say that, at least, the appetizer I ordered was fine: HouseTray for 2. I called back to the restaurant and the guy who answered the phone said they were going to be more careful next time, he didn t even try to fix the mistake; honestly my friend and I were so hungry after the big delay of the meal delivery that we ate some of what we got. This was my first experience at New China Star restaurant and believe me, there wont be a second one.

I ordered from here 1 time and had great customer service and the food was the best Chinese food I have ever had. Seriously, it was amazing! However, when I called to place an order a second time only from the office rather than home, it was a completely different experience. Ironically I had pulled this page up to give a great review before my phone call to place the order. The same lady answered the phone but was not pleasant. She copped an attitude because we requested a lunch menu be faxed to us and she had previously, the first time we ordered, faxed a dinner menu. When ordering, she interrupted me several times and raised her voice because I wasnt understanding what she was saying/asking. She was so rude that I ended up cancelling our order all together. Because of her rudeness, I will not order from here again no matter how much I crave their general tso chicken!!

Not sure why I havent posted a review before now, since I visit these folks 1-2 times a month to get my fix of "Princess Chicken" and "Egg Rolls", and have done so for 5 or more years now. The people are ALWAYS super friendly and courteous, even when the store is really busy and most people would get frazzled. The food is ALWAYS delicious and the portions are ALWAYS generous. Even though there are several other take-out places closer to my home, I ALWAYS come here instead. After reading some of the reviews, I was compelled to defend what almost feels like my family. They are all ALWAYS working hard and, when I have been present, they ALWAYS seem to be extremely courteous and helpful to people on the phone and in the store. Until they go out of business or I move faraway, I wont go anywhere else. :-)

The sell out to new owners was the death of this place. The food used to be excellent and the people who used to own it were super friendly. I have still given them a chance over the last 2 years, stopping in about once every two months to get something. The food is not good any longer and heaven forbid you ask for anything other soy sauce packets because the woman up front will cop a major attitude for asking for extra hoison or sweet and sour sauce no matter the fact you just spent $25 on what now amounts to poor quality food. I will just go to panda express from now on. It might be a touch more expensive and a commercial chain, but Id rather spend my money somewhere that the food is good. So sad this place sold to the new people. The other owners were so nice and the food was excellent then.

I Love this place. I always have a menu that is usually tucked into the paper. Delivery has always been prompt and friendly. Prices are in the mid range. The food is great. I have never been disappointed. On occasion a lady that answers the phone is a bit short but who hasnt had a bad day now and then. She seems to calm down and be patient when i let her know that i am very hard of hearing and ask her to please let me know if i am speaking to loud or if she cant understand me and that i would not be offended. With that in mind she slows her speach down for me and there after she becomes pleasant as her usual self. This is the first and quite probably the only time i have rated a resturant.

We phone order for home delivery. Everytime they deliver very quickly and have never messed-up our order. For the cost and quality of food you simply cant go wrong. Everything we have tried and, we have tried about 90% of the extensive menu, tastes fantastic. Do your family a favor and try this reastraunt. The reason for the "good, (1)" score on the decor is simply because we have never seen the restaurant. High score for food, I explained already. The high score on service is the person taking phone orders is always patient and makes sure to get our order correct. The delivery persons are always friendly.

Ordered carry out of chicken fried rice and egg rolls.. the egg rolls were OK but IDK, I have never gotten chicken fried rice like this before. First of all, I didnt like the onions they put in it. Maybe people are used to this, but Ive never gotten chicken fried rice with onions in it and I HATE ONIONS! Then the chicken fried rice was so greasy.. the rice must have been too over cooked because everything was really mushy and greasy.. I was very dissapointed. Paying 11$ just for chicken fried rice made this way wasnt worth it.

I just ordered from this place for the first time today, and must say damn Im impressed. I wish Id have known it was so close to my home much sooner. I got the the Beef and Broccoli dinner for like $7.75. It was delivered super fast and super hot. I actually had to let it set a few mins before it was cool enough to be edible, it was that freakin fresh. And the portions! This one dinner alone is gonna be at least two meals for someone like me. Possibly more since it also came with rice in a side box.

Like other reviews on here, I will agree that the lady is rude. I ordered the General Tsos Chicken, it was okay. The crab rangoons were pretty bad, maybe some of the worst Ive had. The filling is just plain cream cheese, couldnt taste or see any seasonings in it. Not very crisp, rather soft. I like that the wonton soups dumplings were so big - usually restaurants make them a little smaller. But, they lacked any flavor whatsoever. I would not order from here again.

I ordered egg drop soup, crab rangoon, and sesame chicken with white rice. The crab rangoon actually had crab or at least imitation crab, which is surprising. Most places charge for crab rangoon and just give you cream cheese wontons. Everything was delicious. The food arrived in 40 minutes which is reasonable at the dinner hour. The person delivering my food was friendly. My new favorite Chinese place! I would post a picture but...Er...um...I ate it all.
