I want everyone in the Hermann area to share this status. Its from a friend of a friend. Ive heard horror stories about the owner/manager of this restaurant, and obviously he has no clue what social media is about. "Wow what an experience. Last time we ever go to el ranchito. Told the manager about the service and orders being wrong and he didnt seem to care. So I told him we had given them their last chance at our business and he told me to pay the bill and get out. Dos primos will get all our business. Then the manager proceeds to tell me how much money he gave me for my sons trip and procedure in china and corrected him that the money was my sons NOT mine and he thru in a few choice words as did I in front all 3 or 4 customers. I realized it was time to get out before it escalated. I try to give everyone a fair shake business wise but that joker just needs some customer service training. I wont even get into the yelling and hollaring at the front bar while we were trying to eat. I hope no one has to experience what we just did"

The food is not impressive here. It doesnt have much flavor and some items are really bland. They have lost a lot of customers over the past couple years. It used to be packed all the time. This place floods almost every time the river and Frene Creek come up. After the flooding, you never see any replacements or construction work of anything that was under water. And it usually doesnt take too long for them to reopen. I often wonder how they can do that because you never see anything replaced. Before changing hands, they "recycled" the chips that werent eaten after being served to each table with the salsa. I dont know if that cost cutting trick is still being used, so I always skip the chips and salsa.

The food was decent. Nothing to brag about. Once youve had "Authentic Mexican" at one place youve had them all. I advise staying away from this place though. The service sucks and theyll rip you off, literally. When I was there in May of 2011 there were a lot of kids running the place. They were more interested in socializing amongst themselves than providing service. I was also overcharged. I left a tip on the table but they must have added another to my bill later on, a whopping six dollars. They hardly deserved what they scammed me out of and if I had my receipt Id be making some phone calls. Im still going to try to get my money back through my bank. Stay away from this place!

Tacos and burritos are good ("good", not great). Anything else is pretty bad. Crust on items that are fried (like chili rellenos, etc.) is soggy and not appealing at all to look at, place really needs to work on presentation. Taco salad was more like a taco soup (the shell and whatever is in the bottom turned to mush by the time you get to the bottom). Talked to the cook about a complaint and she was very rude, terrible customer service.

We have been back twice since the reopening. The first time both the food and service were below average. We decided to give it a second chance and are glad we did; both the food and service were excellent today!

Entrance is handicap accessible, but ALL tables are past a set of stairs that are in no wheelchair accessible without lifting the wheelchair up past the stairs which is completely ridiculous. Food tasted ok.

Was not pleased with the service, order was wrong, food was so bland I could not eat it. Very displeased!! We defiantly will not be back. If you are in Herman do not go here, you will regret it!

We loved it. Friendly server. Good queso and salsa. Delicious burritos! Pork, chicken and beef were all good. Margaritas were too sugary. Tone back the mix a little bit! Still good though.

wonderful food. Best green sauce Ive had a quite sometime. The chipotle cream sauce was amazing. Well worth the hour and a half drive from Fulton. Warning - medium margaritas are huge!

Less than par. Never found any meat on the burrito. Margarita was ok. Definitely wouldnt recommend. Way overpriced. Had to eat at hardees after to get some flavor.
