Atmosphere was good with a great location and thats about it. Our service sucked. The worst waitress I have ever had and I have had some bad ones. I had to ask the hostess if someone was waiting my table cause she passed us up twice with no acknowledgement at all. After the hostess tells our waitress we were there it took over 15 minutes for her to take our drink order and another 10 minutes after that to get two glasses of water. The waitress didnt know what she was doing and was very rude. My wife asked what kind of salad dressing they had and she didnt even know, she had to go ask(they only had 3 types how hard is it to memorize 3 dressings in little plastic pouches). After about 45 minutes we finally got our food which was mediocre at best. You have to go get your own BBQ sauces instead of having them at the table which is fine, but they were out of the little cups they have for the sauces and by the time they got someone refill them our food was cold. The waitress never came back to refill our drinks or check to see how things were. I am usually pretty tolerant with service and food but this was a bad experience all around. Think twice before you go here there are much better places for BBQ.

Dont bother unless you go before 7pm!!! We arrived at 7:30pm Saturday night for our first visit here. We were seated and given menus. We ordered some beers and an appetizer. When they brought the beers we were informed they were out of the appetizer we ordered so we got chips & salsa instead. After a long wait they brought that then took our menus and said then ran out of everything and the kitchen was closed. Needless to say I was upset they waste my time and money, so I asked for the manager. She apologized and eventually agreed they made a mistake and we should have been told before being seated. She also took care of our bill, but I was so pissed and hungry I didnt even finish my beer. This place has been open for over 2 years and still doesnt have their act together! I am not sure if well give it a try again or not.

What a disappointing trip. We were sat on the patio, and no one ever bothered to serve us. Servers passing our table several times, so after 15 minutes, we moved to the bar. They dont have a drink menu... we sat there for a few minutes. The bartender told us we could order after she ran these drinks to someone. Then I see a chick in the kitchen, with gloves on (I assume shes in back preparing food?) and shes grabbing on the door handle, and the door frame while shes talking to her girlfriend. And then goes back to doing whatever shes doing... again, I imagine shes handling food. Another ten minutes later, we still havent ordered any food. So, I stand up, we paid for my husbands one beer and left. Not only did we waste what little time we had, but we left hungry. This place looked cool too... total bummer.

The potential for an incredible BBQ experience in a beautiful setting close to the Katy trail and wineries was quickly extinguished when the cold, tough ribs arrived. The chicken, and pulled pork meat platters were colder than the summer cucumber salad. Told them the ribs were ice cold, when they came back we were told the rib warmer was broken. We werent there for reheated food but that still did not explain the other ice cold meats they served! It was $19.00 for a combo dinner that could not be eaten! Single meat platters were $13.00. We should have eaten at Chandler Hills wineries where the food looked very enticing! Only for the Ambience and cold beer did we not give it a 1.

We deciced to stop here for lunch before going to the winery. We showed up at 1:30 and ordered 2 pulled pork sandwiches. Waited 45 minutes and still no sandwiches. We went to ask where our order was and there was a sign that said the kitchen was closed until 3:00. They said they ran out of food and needed to cook more. We asked for our money back. The girl went back to have the manager give us a refund, which when she came back she said it would be refunded to our bank card. She had an attitude about it and the manager did not come out to apologize. There were 3 other people asking for a refund and said they had been waiting for over an hour. We will not go back.

The turkey sandwich (on potato bread) was really good; as was the pulled chicken sandwich that my husband ate. The bourbon baked beans - not so much. Neither of us liked those as they were much too bourbon-y. The bbq sauces were really ........ different. The service was excellent and our waitress was very sweet & awesome. They were very busy, so this place really appeals to a certain crowd (largely, drinkers). It was a nice little adventure for us, but not really our cup of tea ..... or ..... bourbon (as the case may be). Although it didnt appeal to us, for people who *really* like bourbon - this would be your "go-to" place and I would recommend it.

Great atomosphere. We biked in off the Katy Trail with the family and it seemed like a nicer atmosphere for the kids than the other 2 places we biked by. Live music, great BBQ, nice servers, beautiful new restaurant. We loved how all the walls were glass garage doors that raised. The salted Carmel with ice cream with Carmel and bacon was fabulous!

Cold beer is nice to have but ice cold food is pretty sad. First and last time we will stop here during a nice bike ride. Ride further to roadhouse :) Out of first 3 beers that I requested even they were advertised. Manager and owner could seem to careless. Table next to us had SAME issues. Answer was oh were busy.

Second time there, always a great experience. Great scenery. Right off the Katy trail in Defiance Mo. Food, drinks, live music, and fellow bike riders. Couldnt ask for anything better. Great service staff, great atmosphere, great food, great prices, great place to stop off and take a rest from the trail.

3 stars because of price. $9 for a pulled pork sandwich and potato chips. For $9 Id expect a better bbq side and/or a soft drink included. Atmosphere is nice. This place is a perfect pit stop when riding on the trail. Pork was good and great selection of unique homemade sauces.

We waited two hours for food... they hosted a car show and were fully unprepared for the event they planned. When we finally got food it was cold and not good. They were so overwhelmed they had to close the kitchen while we were still waiting...... will NOT be returning

Food is good if you want to taste spices instead of meat. Honestly, I had to get my own drink, get my plastic silverware, get my own sauce. For a $20.00 dinner they should have served me. I have had way better for less. Like JJs in Fallon. Way better

Great patio and delicious bar-b-que. Sauce station allowed us to try a number of them, including the blueberry jalepeño that was quite original. The driveway is right off the Katy Trail with plenty of bike stands. Yum, we will be back!
