I have been eating here FOREVER, and always enjoyed the food and the staff has always been polite. Thursday April 27th,2017 was the worst! I went with a friend. We got a booth and she went up to pay. Then I was going to follow. I sat down to answer a text from my daughter. At this time a woman who has worked there for as long as I have been eating there, told me she had paying costomers and that I needed to give up my seat!???? I told her my friend was in line next to pay and then I would go up as well. She told me to give the table to a costomer who has already paid for there food. I tried to explain that we ARE PAYING COSTOMERS! She just said , Sorry ....very rudely! I was shocked! Who does this?? This is not a way to keep loyal costomers! I will never go back there again. That was the rudest Ive ever been treated! I have told a lot of people who agree with me. Rude does not cut it in the food industry!

Just what you look for in a southern chicken buffet with even some healthy alternatives. Its a small, but spot on buffet. Other than fried and baked chicken, they serve fried catfish, rice and mashed potatoes (with the option of gravy), corn, green beans, mustard greens, potato salad, slaw, carrot slaw, yeast rolls, corn bread muffins, a crunchy garlic bread, and a small salad bar with delicious ranch dressing. The tea is awesome. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the dessert, which is not to be left out. Their ice cream machine makes the best soft serve but only of vanilla. Have the peach cobbler topped with ice cream.

Go early to miss the crazy crowed. Food is like your grandmas / moms home cooked fried / oven roasted chicken / fish and some pretty good sides . Its not fancy but clean and your efficient. If you like salad its there too and in the end they got desserts like bread pudding- peach cobbler - soft serve ice cream. No fancy plates, you get sterefoem compartment plates - cup and plastic silverware. People working there are mostly friendly with a smile and helpful ( some more than others ) . I give it a 4 star since on some occasions your hot food was not hot ! Perhaps holding times need to be checked!

My wife and I had the wonderful pleasure of having my Aunt work there and she had always said it was as clean and friendly in the back as was what the public could see my wife and I continue to enjoy meals there and as far as we shall ever be concerned it is and shall stay our cant fail place of wonderful home cooked food and believe me when I say that because I am a southern cook myself and I can taste the work and effort in their offerings thanks Aunt Sabrina GERAT SUGGESTION

This place is delicious! Im a huge lover of actual crispy fried chicken and I definitely found it here. Not only is the chicken delicious the side items are so rich and tasty! What I like most about Hartz is the buffet. Its 8$ a person and you get chicken, fish and plenty of their awesome sides. The only con is their individual dinners are a little expensive but with the chicken being that good, I have no problem with splurging. ;p Katt Memphis, Tn

Husband and I shared our first meal together here. It is a nostalgic and wonderful spot for us. We eat what we ate as kids here; old fashioned southern country food, deliciously prepared. The large selection of fresh salads are always fresh and the healthful baked chicken is lemmony and peppery and tender. If you enjoyed dinner on the ground and eating at grandmas, you will love Hartz.

It is good for once in a blue moon but its fried food so it all seems the same to this Yankee. Was told this was the one place to visit while in Biloxi so did as told. Hey $20 total for two people and a child (she ate free) so not complaining (my heart and arteries sure are though). Best deal is the buffet but I could only eat what the 2 piece meal would have got me.

The food is absolutely amazing. Great price and very friendly service. The food is always fresh and the workers are constantly refilling the food to make sure its never empty. Some of the best down home southern cooking Ive ever had. P.S. You should start making breakfast.

Hartzs is our favorite place to eat lunch. Better get there around 11ish if you dont want to fight the lunch crowd. Seating is limited as is parking. We enjoy the buffet choices available, and dont forget to ask for the fried okra when paying upon arrival.
