Visiting Ocean Springs for the first time. We had been fishing all day and Googled 24 hour restaurants in the area. Castaways came up. We enjoy the type of environment that it showed and also could watch the basketball game. We went in and sat down. We wasnt acknowledged or even spoke to for over 15 minutes. It wasnt busy. The waitress looked over at us at one point and then went on with what she was doing. We waited a several more minutes and left. Not one word was said to us. It did appear clean but I will never go back. We come this way often and everyone is so kind and polite. This was the only time I ever felt unwelcome in Ocean Springs.

The VERY BEST BAR & GRILL on the Mississippi Gulf Coast!!! Their Wednesday lunch special, "ShrimpGrits" are to die for delicious!!! They are open 24-7 and have breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have a full menu from oyster baskets to a tasty Seafood Platter, poboys, burgers, crab cakes (with real chunks of crab meat), pork chop specials. Awesome outside patio, too!!! You have to try this place! Always a SUPER friendly staff, good food, cold beverage, good music variety... Its our favorite place to go and RELAX!!!

I visited Ocean Springs for the first time on a southern road trip with friends from Pennsylvania during spring break. We went to Castaways on a slow Monday night but had the most amazing time. Everyone in this bar made our stay in Mississippi worth it. Becky the (Server, Bartender) was so friendly and welcoming. Everyone in this city was so willing to converse with us and were so genuine. The drinks were also amazing and the prices were great! I can not wait to come back to the Gulf Coast of Mississippi! Yall Rock!

Enjoyed fried oyster basket and fried green tomatoes. Large portions and melt in your mouth delicious! DH enjoyed catfish $8 special and fried pickles. He stated that both were delicious. Our server, Kay, was especially nice and attentive. Atmosphere was great in this local bar and grill. The staff knew almost everyone by name. Will visit again before leaving the area!

They are NOT family friendly as their ads say. My wife, kids, and I went and were met at the door by a waitress(?) and told no kids allowed after 9pm. There is nothing on the building or online stating such. When asked if we could sit outside on the patio we were given the same response. Wont be going back.

I am so HAPPY with the NEW Castaways! ..... I have been several times FOR BREAKFAST, which was cooked FRESH and priced right! ....... Thank You for a great time! Ohhh the food coming from the kitchen has been 100% FANTASTIC especially the times I went for their LUNCH SPECIALS!

New to this area and being from BOSTON I love certain foods like a real REUBEN made with quality meats. Castaways has it down. Outstanding is all I can come up with. Stake specials on Thursday s and they have Shepherds pie. I cant wait till tomorow.

BBQ SHRIMP!!! A must try! Today my first ...from now on my only. Dipping sauce may look thin, but will WOW you with flavor! Will eat here more often! So surprised by the bartender. He actually corrected my mistake so that I didnt over pay by $20.

Smelled like an ashtray because it is an ashtray. Seemed just for locals. No one was eating, just drinking beer, smoking cigarettes, and staring at me and my boyfriend like we shouldnt be in there. Lol

Stopped in for a steak and beer. The steak was ok. The beer was good. However, the server was amazing. Our server was very attentive and personable. Plus the wait time was very short from the kitchen.

Dont catch bartenders on shift change especially the redhead they forget all about you and charge you for food you havent recieved yet very disapointed
