I probably would have given this place more stars but it was the experience with the waitress we had that left a bad impression of the place. My family and I were celebrating my sisters graduation from college; her boyfriend paid for our dinner but was short one person because he wasnt sure that my other sister would come. Long story short he paid for my other sister but when it came time for the waitress to clear off the table she kept asking us for the receipt after we told her that we would have it once the boyfriend got back from smoking. She came back several times asking for the receipt and at one time she yelled across the restaurant to the cashier, Im sure it was about the receipt since it happened shortly after we told her again that wed have it when the boyfriend returned from smoking. Prior to her asking about the receipt she literally stopped by mom and step dad from entering the seating area because she didnt believe that they were already paid for. I can understand that there may be times where people take advantage of the buffet by not paying and just eating the food and leaving but last night everyone was legitimately paid for yet we were being interrogated for a damn receipt after telling her shed have it before we leave.

Worse experience ever! My family and I came here for the buffet and we got 4 of the ginger scallion lobster to dine in. The poster said if we were to dine in with the buffet the price will be reduced. So we paid for each individual and got the 4 ginger scallion lobsters. We werent able to finish the 4 and only finished 2 and asked for a box to take home. They said that we can not take it home and if we wanted to take it home it would be an extra $7 each for us to take home. This was totally BS, and our waiter was horrible too. NO WATER, NO TEA, AND WE CANT GET SOTA AND WATER TOGETHER! We paid the fee for the buffet and the lobster. Why did we have to pay an extra $7 for each? I asked for a manager and the lady in the front pointed to an employee who couldnt speak English. Please, avoid this place as it is ran by someone worse that the previous owner. At least the previous owners employee was nice and greeted all of us and gave us soda and water if asked. I am never coming here again. I still have the receipts and I have a hidden video of this conversation. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!

We told the cashier ahead of time that we had a large group coming. He was very unpleasant and not friendly and told us we had to wait. We waited for about 30 minutes and he still didnt find a table for us. My brother then asked him again if he was ready for us and he said "wait, we have to get it ready." Finally we were seated...in this other room where there were tons of empty tables and chairs. Plenty of room..I dont know why we had to wait so long for. Unprofessional, the place was dirty with food all over the buffet area and floor. I asked my waitress for a mug of hot water to warm up my breastmilk to feed my baby. She proceeded to take the bottle and returned a short time later. My husband realized that the waitress added hot water into my breastmilk bottle! It was 4 oz and it came back 6oz from the waitress. What an idiot! I had to throw all that precious breastmilk out. Needless to say, not worth the money! Do not go!! The food was horrible as well, tons of msg. You had to pay for drinks right away and they dont even come refill. Horrible service.

Avoid this place. One of the worst restaurant experiences in my life! Incredibly over priced. The food was cold, literally everything was just barely room temperature. Quality wasnt bad but it wasnt good either. The sweet and sour chicken had a fishy taste to it. They couldnt even get the pop right, every drink was watered down and tasted so bad. The desserts are alright. The the chef who cooks your food in front of you if you choose was awful. He didnt even cook my friends food, didnt try to communicate at all, looked lik he hated his job and everyone around him. Moves incredibly slow even with a huge line. Even this freshly made food was bad! I was hoping it could redeem the place but it was so lackingly mediocre. The chicken and beef was chewy and flavorless. I cannot recommend this place to anyone. I wouldnt go here if it was 5 bucks all you can eat let alone nearly 20 with a drink during lunch hours. STAY AWAY!!

This place is so unpredicable. We went there on NYE for lunch and they raised their prices to "Sunday prices" of $12.99 from $7.99. We walked out. Came back another time and they were remodeling. Last time we were there will be the last. Check this out...now they have "weekend price" all weekend. We said oh well and eat anyways. Then when the "waitress" brought us the check she said " you pay me" (insert Chinese accent), then she proceed to hover over us while my husband counted his change. My husband put his change in his pocket and did not tip being its a BUFFETT and all they get you is a drink. The waitress said "oh ah.. tip not included" (inset Chinese accent), I said "your are right because it is a buffet and you are rude as hell to say that! Do you honestly think bring me a pop is worth a tip?" She said nothing as I mocked her comment and accent as I walked out the door. WILL NEVER GO BACK. GREEDY ASIANS!

Used to be Better UPDATE: New owners, pretty much the same food but they added more soup and a hot pot. Meh. The service has never been stellar but it has taken a dip for the worse. The amount of sushi offered is probably about half what it was before they closed/reopened. Generally speaking, the food is better across the street at the Great Moon, and the prices there are better, especially since your beverage is included at Great Moon. ---Previous review below: --- For being a buffet restaurant in a strip mall, this place is great. Wonderful, clean decor and more food options then one can eat. They have all the regular items, plus a hibachi grill, sushi, and traditional American buffet items. Pricing is also very reasonable. Not all the food was a home run, but what buffet is? This is perfect if you can never make a decision when ordering Chinese food

Ive been a regular weekly customer and until recently was very happy with both the service and the food. It seems the dinner menu has changed quite a bit since the new year. Things like garlic shrimp and other more spicy favorites have been removed. The overall quality of the meats used seems to have went down as well. They also switched from having wooden chopsticks to plastic reusable ones. We also observed one of the people working the sushi bar without gloves working with food, then boxes off the floor, ect, then back to food. Lastly my guest went to take a spoon full of rice from a freshly placed tray and along with it came a long black hair. Im hoping these folks just had a bad day and are not going the way of the other buffets on Robert street, lowering the quality of their food and their staff. Gonna give it one last chance.
