Living in town and really wishing I had more choices to go to for a bar ive wanted to like this place ever since it was cattails. Heres the problem with this bar. The atmosphere is alright. There are a lot of TVs (maybe too many) but its a good place to watch a game. However the TVs at the bar are above you so you have to look up and they keep the canned lights on right above the TVs so after a while you start to get a bit of a headache cause youve been staring at the ceiling lights all night. But I digress, it has a lot of TVs and the atmosphere is not bad. I would credit this place as a good place to grab a beer or two from time to time if it werent for the prices. This place wants to be a swanky Lake Minnetonka bar/club. At least thats what I can ascertain from the prices. A tab beer is $6+. Thats not outrageous but if you pair that with the fact that the food is truly bad it turns a place that I might be convinced to go into once in a while into a place that I never frequent. The food is cheap and non creative. The menu is waaaayyy too large. Any bar that has 30+ menu items is bound to fail as you cant possibly be good at making all of it. Take the beer prices down a bit and reduce the menu to 1 sheet of stuff you actually make well. Also, would recommend they step it up on the quality of the food. Reminds me of cheap meat/veggies off the U.S. Foods trucks. For good food in town hit up Carbones. If you want a cheap drink go to the Legion. If you want neither check out Surfside

This sums it up: "Value rating is an F-" These owners walk around as the convincing "nice guys" yet use the cheapest food available to them while offering the lowest quantity available and the highest prices in all of Mound besides upstairs Lord Fletchers (Ive had like 8 or 9 different menu items) I HATE THIS PLACE WITH AN UTTER PASSION. I HATE IT!!!! Its well run though and polished unlike cat tails was which is why they arent out of business yet and cat tails died so easily but 50% of restaurants fail within the first 3 years and theyll get there oh and all the reviews here that are 4/5 or 5/5 are friends of the owners no restaurant has 30 google reviews this quickly same with facebook reviews this is not a place that has the possibility to be raved about its not like Maynards or Bayside or Hazelwood or Joey Novas which are like high end good spectrum food this place is C- food clearly and C- quantity but A service and A polished or cleanliness if you will. Out of the dozens of people Ive talked to about this place 1 is optimistic while every single other person days meh or I dont like it. Yeah Surside....you know the average person....we love to pay $22 for a sirloin steak and potatoes which we can get for like $8 at a local establishment for breakfast....you know it

I was actually quite surprised with my experience here. When I first heard this place would be opening in late spring, I took a look at the menu online. Admittedly, I was a little disappointed. Sure they had some novelty items like beer-battered sunfish and a lobster roll, but ultimately it was a burger joint. And maybe I shouldnt have expected much more than that, but when you have a bar with a vast menu selection only 10 minutes away (Narrows in Navarre), I did expect a bit more variety. Nevertheless I gave it a try. The burgers did look good, but I decided on the shrimp scampi skewers. And believe it or not, they were REALLY good! It was bursting with flavor and the serving portion was just enough. Topping it all off, the TVs and bar games they have inside are all really nice. Great service too. Would definitely go back!

Stopped in for breakfast and bloody Marys. What a perfect place for a relaxing breakfast. We will be coming here often. Small menu for breakfasts but good food. Ok, so now we finally made it here for dinner. Our waiter Robbie was absolutely stellar. He recommended the shrimp boil and promised I would be impressed. Robbie got us rolling with apps and adult beverages. Still plugging that shrimp boil since I stated I loved that type of food. Well, he was spot on. It was the best dish of that type Ive had in Minnesota. I would recommend this place even for those who might have to drive a bit to get here. We will be coming again since it is a local place for us. If your coming here ask for Robbie or Ryan.

The staff was very friendly. The food was very good. I had shrimp scampi with brown rice and quinoa. The rice and quinoa was very flavorful ( which is unusual for most restaurants) the shrimp was buttery and garlicky. I like garlic. The other people with me had burgers which were large and juicy. They had fried pickles which they said were the best theyve ever had. ( I dont like pickles) we also had an appetizer called a "Fondue". It was a cheesy artichoke baked dip with grilled bread. I could have eaten this with a spoon! It was delicious. Ill be back here again. The atmosphere was welcoming and the decor was very tasteful.

Was looking forward to trying this - it seems to be packed every night! Was very excited for something great to be in that spot. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend. Lobster Roll was ok - fresh but there was so much crusty bread, the lobster wasnt able to shine through. Kids mac and cheese is Kraft from the box (which is a favorite), the chips were cold and overcooked. Most disappointing was the chicken fingers, by far the worst chicken fingers Ive ever had. They were greasy, soggy, tough, and tasted off - like the fryer oil hadnt been switched in a while.

Our first time here and were pleasantly surprised when the waitress brought our Bloody Marys. They are delicious and filling. The wait staff is friendly and the music is great on the over head. And the food is awesome. 7/8/17 We just came in for dinner for the first time. We sat on the patio, our server is Robbie, he was very friendly, attentive and funny. We had a great night with him. We will be back for sure for breakfast and dinner. Hopefully Robbie will be here again.

I went for dinner the other night. Both my wife and I were pleased with our meals and the owner was coming around and checking up on every table to make sure they were taken care of. They also had a decent number/diversity of beers on tap. They have gotten rid of much of the stigma with the previous bar that was in its location. I will probably go back a few more times.

I have wanted this place to succeed but every time I go I am underwhelmed. There are a few friendly servers so that is a plus but the food is nothing special. Every meal I have had has tasted like something I could have made at home and it would have been a whole lot cheaper.
