Went the other day expecting it to be like a lot of other original pancake houses but was pleasantly surprised. The wait was not horrible, although it did take a while to get our food, but that is expected for a fairly new restaurant. The décor was really nice and made the place seem very clean, modern, and comfortable. Our food was top notch as well, I personally got buttermilk pancakes because thats what the whole restaurant is about. My family all enjoyed their assortment of foods as well. There were some problems with specifics we asked for but they fixed that quickly and respectfully. I also wish it was open later than 3, but I understand why it isnt. I recommend everyone go, its by far the best breakfast in a decent area, and dont be afraid to bring some friends and family. I hope I have time to go again soon.

Food is good, but really overpriced for breakfast food. The atmosphere really threw me off... dark industrial and the waiters in vests - makes me think upscale dinner/bar... not at all breakfast/brunch. And they serve it like its upscale, but its just breakfast, very simple. Sides are really expensive, for the price should come with the meal! $3 for toast and jam, $3.50 for a banana with cream? Rather make it myself, and for how long it took I could have! Dont think Ill be back.

This place is doing something great. Staff is experienced and lively, envience is warm and inviting... almost upscale. Large seating areas. Food is excellent if not a bit overpriced. 3 slices of bacon for 8 bucks is a little ridiculous. Eggs Benedict was good, kids menu was excellent and crepes are light and fluffy. Great spot for this place, needs a small price adjustment on their items but otherwise excited to go back!

If you are looking for breakfast or brunch, this is the best for variety, and quality. You may wait to be seated, but from that point the service is excellent. The food preparation and presentation sets The Original Pancake House apart from others. I had the banana french toast. I was asked how is yours? I paused, savored a bite and said its out of this world. That accounts for the delay in my response.

The denver omelet with the included side of pancakes is enough to fill up two people. Not in the "oh well just split this and save money" way. But in the "i only ate half and Im stuffed" way. Seriously the size of a hubcap. Yes, spendier then Perkins, but much better quality,,and I mentioned the portion sizes,,right? If you come here on a friday/sat/sunday and arent prepared for a wait, you are just silly.

Avoid the small rooms. The rooms echo and it is painfully loud whenever they clear a table or even just get silverware out of the bin. We had to move, we couldnt think so we got them to move us to the main room. The restaurant should really change the ceiling tiles to ones that absorb sounds, or make other adjustments. I have never had that problem in a restaurant before.

I loved the pancakes and I will probably go back to try more, although, I think the prices are a little too high. And they are quick to put that 20% obligated tip on the bill for you. That rubs me the wrong way. Pay the servers more and dont obligate the customers to a tip. #TaxationIsTheft

The food was great but the name is a lie. This is not the original pancake house, I was in fact shocked to find there are several fraudulent places calling themeselves the original. I do not know where the original is but I committed to finding it in hopes of reaching pancake nirvana.

Ive been to many OPHs around the area (and on the west coast) and this one is just as good or better than any Ive been to. Great service, consistently good coffee, and wonderfully gooey 49ers. Also beautiful facilities. Check this one out.

The OPH has a cozy feeling and a variety of food choices. Bacon waffle tasted amazing and had just the right ratios of bacon to waffle. Pancakes and waffles can be made gluten-free. I would recommend calling ahead to make a reservation.

The O in OPH stands for overpriced.. The food was great , I personally prefer this location over Other pancake houses. But the wait was very long .. not recommended If you are In a rush . But overall a pretty great restaurant!

When it is good, it is really good, but it is hit and miss as a result of their server staff. They have a few servers that consistently screw up orders and in general make it a bad experience with lack of service.

Delicious breakfast spot open early every day, even most holidays. Friendly staff. 50+ times never a wrong order. Try the Swedish Pancakes cooked crispy if you want veteran advice.
