Just went there with family and we LOVED IT! Huge portions, big pours of wine, friendly service, and delicious and authentic South American food. Its a very down to earth, food-focused place with a couple TVs, but does not at all feel like a sports bar. We got the Leche de Tigre (basically a mini peruvian ceviche without the sweet potato) and the Llapingachos Ecuatorianos (recommended by our server) for appetizers. Two of us shared the Paella, and the other two got the Walleye and the Encocado de Pescado and we ALL went home with leftovers! The flavors all hit the spot and we were all very impressed with the seafood (always an impressive thing when youre far away from the coast)! Definitely going back and bringing all our friends and anyone who visits us in the city. Hope they are successful in their endeavors because we loved it :)

Authentic South American cuisine from Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. The Bandera is always a good choice as it gives you a taste of three different stews. We are addicted to the Peruvian ceviche -- best Ive had in the USA next to being on the beach in Peru. The Guatita is also another of our favorites, which I believe is beef stomach. Another very authentic dish that tastes like the Ecuadorean Andes. If you like hot sauces you must try their Ají which is a super fresh condiment to add a little spice - this is usually served with your meal.

The food was pretty good, but a little spendy. Heads up to vegetarians: there is almost nothing on the menu for you. The server was very nice and attentive, but getting our food took a loooong time. I think this has to do with the preparation; we were pretty much the only people there, so the kitchen was overwhelmed by orders. If you like South American food and you have time for a leisurely meal, this is the place for you.

Everything is phenomenal. Very authentic food, pleasant atmosphere, really friendly service. We had the paella which was filled with fish and seafood and enough for two. The saltado was also great. The shrimp and plantain appetizer was amazing and will be ordered again. We also got an avacado shake which was sweet and creamy and yummy. We found this place randomly, but will absolutely be back.

This is a really cute affordable restaurant! Went there last night, had a couple good beers on tap and some really yummy (mostly south American food). This space has a hard time staying open, so Id recommend doing bingo or trivia or something to bring people in.

Food was not bad , but nothing I would go back to get . We went there to celebrate my husbands birthday with a group of friends and they brought his meal almost a half hour before everyone elses , so he had to eat in front of everyone watching him

This new and unkn9wn eatery on Lake Street offers a wife range of South American dishes packed with flavor, and hearty portions to boot! We went first with a Groupon, but again for full price yet that week. Certainly a new favorite!

Good food reasonably priced. Decent place to go for a good meal with good service. I loathe the day that all the "trendy" people stop going to the hi lo and start crowding this gem up... Though it would be great for the owners!

The food was excellent! The sauces and salsas were extraordinary ! I thought at first it was a little expensive until I saw how big the portions were! I like the cozy booth seating. And the service was great !

Delicious and good portions. Some of the dishes are listed as pricy but their portion sizes are huge and can feed multiple people! The ceviche is amazing!
