Were pizza addicts and are always scoping out new places. Last night we went to a bar with friends where the service was terribly slow, so we cut out early to find somewhere that would serve food within 30-45 minutes. We stumbled upon Galactic Pizza. Weve seen the pizza-mobiles zipping around Uptown area and weve driven by it a few times - and in 2006 I read about a costumed delivery guy chasing down a real-life mugger - so we went in. It was crowded - they only have a few tables, and every one was full - but it smelled INCREDIBLE. We saw the "Seat Yourself" sign and wondered what to do - we wanted pizza, but there was nowhere to sit! Immediately a guy came from the back, introduced himself, and said, "Itll be about 15 minutes." We said, "Sure, were hungry, we can wait." In 5 minutes a table left - the table in the back with three extremely comfy beat-up armchairs around it. Our server came out, cleared it, brought water and menus, and called us over - very quickly and efficiently. We looked through the menu - AMAZING. We were wondering what size we should get when our server came back, plopped in the third chair and said, "Okay, what can I get ya?" He recommended the medium size (which was indeed perfect for us). We got the Mexicali and two pints of Finnegans - he recommended an upgrade to a pitcher, and we took it. (Also a good recommendation. Delicious world-saving beer.) The pizza was out fast and DELICIOUS - next time well hold the jalapenos, but it was a great temperature, toppings well spread, crust was thin and yummy. Our server was exceptionally attentive and fun - very chatty, and clearly loves his job there. We loved the atmosphere - casual and fun - and the stream of people coming in for takeout. It was full the entire time we were there (a Friday night) and we can absolutely see why. The food philosophy is amazing - locally based ingredients when they can, a margarita pizza option that donates money to Second Harvest, the delivery cars powered by electricity... Its pizza that will save the world. And theyll be our first number for delivery from now on.

My girlfriend and I had Galactic delivered the other night. We decided on the artichoke pizza because they were out of the ingredients of our first choice. After a bill of $45 with tip our three little items arrived at our door 45mns later. The pizza was cold, crust was hard and it was kind of small for a 20 dollar large. The small greek salad ($5.50) is literally a handful of low grade romaine and vinegar. There were maybe 2 olives and no feta cheese, maybe an onion or two. DO NOT ORDER THE ITALIAN EGG ROLLS($8.00) you get two soggy rolls (no flavor, taste like dough) and a small container or tomato sauce that just didnt taste right. I will not be ordering from galactic pizza in the future. Focus less on the image, more on expanding your menu and quality control.

Im a Galactic fan... have been for the last few years ever since moving nearby. The staff has always been friendly, serving hot delicious pizzas made from good ingredients, as well as dishing-up a darn fine Greek salad. As a vegetarian, I really appreciate their adjustments and substitution options. And who couldnt appreciate their delivery costumes? In addition, I really dig their community focus. Theyve got a green-friendly mindset and try to use local ingredients. Plus, in doing some product-fundraising for domestic violence prevention, theyve been very kind. I think the owner must be a pretty cool person with his local business pointed in the right direction. We need to keep places like this well-supported.

Wow. Reading these reviews had us totally psyched to eat this pizza. The website showed us they had meat-substitute toppings which is normally a big bonus as well. Unfortunately, this totally bland pizza and two intsy bitsy salads cost more than I can possibly believe. They did not deliver to our area so we went to get it, and it still cost too much for such below-average pizza that frankly ranks on par with Dominos in flavor. Further, if you want too-cool for the customer hipster attitude galore, this is your place. This is without a doubt, a total joke. Unless you are impressed with bad attitude and lacking taste buds, avoid this sorry establishment. Boo.

Excellent pizza and even better ethics. This is a company that tries to find responsible sources for all of their ingredients. They donate part of their profits to charity, have pizzas that, when ordered, lead to donations to local food shelves, and have fundraiser events. They also have a 15% discount for members of bike benefits and will give you $1 off your next order if you return the pizza box. I am vegan and I love taking non-vegan friends here because there is something for everyone. Highly recommended!

I love their Thai Chicken Pizza and it always makes me smile when they show up in their super hero costumes, although I feel a little bad about it in the dead of winter! Ive honestly never been inside the actual restaurant, I always get delivery which is usually quite speedy (depending on Uptown traffic of course). I also like Galactic because a lot of my friends have various dietary restrictions and theyre great about accommodating those needs. Thanks for being fabulous, Galactic!!

The quiet and calm waiter with short dark hair and glasses was an oasis of kindness. As for the experience from the rest of the staff, it was rather awkward, unkind, and unfortunate. While my group was offended by the treatment, I was more so surprised at how unpleasant things had become without provocation. My advice is to find out what you are getting yourself into before attending open mic comedy as an audience member. The pizza is enjoyable. Try taking it to go.

This place is awesome. They have tons of heady local ingredients, good crust (gluten free and normal), and quick prep times. The servers are very attentive and the menus come with 3d glasses for an added novelty. Theyve got some solid craft beers on tap. The spot is powered by wind energy too. Very cool both on a conceptual and practical level. The only drawback is that its pretty bright in there so its less date night friendly.

Fantastic service! They one time forgot to bring my soda, after stressing to the guy on the phone 3 times to add it to the order. The delivery guy went back and got the drinks for me! He was really sweet about it, not fakey irritated customer service sweet. They always bring the order quickly and in that great little car. Every time I hear that car it makes me want to call them and order some pizza. Thanks for being awesome!

You can tell the quality of a business based on how they respond when an error is made. My partner and I always very much enjoy Galactic Pizza. We had an incorrect order delivered and were very impressed with how the situation was handled after it was brought to Galactics attention. Their food has always been great, and we will remain loyal customers based on the high quality of customer service.

I was in town from Chicago for the weekend and I stopped at Galactic Pizza for some vegan pizza. It was probably the best vegan pizza that I have ever had. I loved the atmosphere as well, and even saw a super hero wandering around. We were there pretty late and the staff was excellent. I will definitely stop here again the next time I am in the area.
