We have been to this restaurant before and havent had such terrible service until now. My girlfriend made reservations for dinner there over a month ago, and the day of our reservations she received an email saying they were canceled. She called to inquire about this, and they claimed they tried to contact her prior about confirmation of the reservation. We never got a call from them about our reservations which we should have decided to go elsewhere at this point. However, we still spent our Valentines day dinner at Amore Victoria. After we arrived we were seated right next to the kitchen door so we saw a lot of action. It took 20 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us at our table despite seeing our waiter at least 8 times. I must admit that it was a busy night for them overall, but our waiter had only 6 tables to tend to. Ive seen better waiters be able to handle over 10 and provide far better service. It took this gentleman over 15 minutes to get us our beverages, and then even longer to take our order. It was unbearable to watch our waiter walk back and forth and look right at me every single time he came into the room yet he basically looked right through me since I tried to get his attention every single time and got no acknowledgement. Typically, they provide bread at the beginning of the meal and our waiter didnt bring it out until the 3rd course of a 4 course meal! I enjoy drinking plenty of water during my meal and had to conserve it because he never once attempted to fill my water even after requesting that he do so. It was easy to see that we had the worst waiter in the place because we saw multiple people who were seated after us, finish LONG before we even got our meal. It was quite disturbing to see our waiter blatantly hitting on a customer in front of her date at the table next to us, I felt embarrassed for the guy who had to watch this. Halfway through my entree I was asked to pause eating and stand up because we were seated in front of a door that controlled the lighting and they wanted to change the setting. Could you not wait until I had finished my meal??? Due to it being Valentines day they had a pre-decided menu so we had limited options so you think they would have plenty of everything on that menu. Nope, I was wrong, we wanted to order tiramisu but of course they "ran out" according to our waiter. The fastest part of our service was getting the bill. I felt incredibly insulted being treated like we werent even there or important whatsoever. I dont think we will be bringing our business back here again which is a shame. It took over 3 hours for our meal for two people due to the horrendous service that should NEVER happen. The only reason Im giving a 2 star rating is because the food is usually fantastic! It did not disappoint when it came to taste! Do yourself a favor and try somewhere that wants your business and will show it!!!!!

The little things is what makes this a negative review. I chose this establishment as a valentines day dinner date with my wife. I had never been there before but was aware of it. Initially I was excited as we were ushered downstairs to their "wine cellar" to our table. That excitement dwindled quickly as I sat down to the sound of the couple, sitting awkwardly close to us, complaining how their vegetarian request arrived with meat in it. Whatever, mistakes happen. It took approximately 5 minutes for the waiter to make it to our table and just came across as disjointed in the process. Then an employee decided to hook up their phone to the sound system, and shuffled through some hip hop, jazz and pop music until some awkward rock music came on. Odd choice for a romantic setting but again, whatever. Then a handful of bussers/waiters seemed to be attempting to make as much noise as possible clomping up and down the wooden staircase, so much so that almost every patron would turn and look at the staircase to make sure someone wasnt stumbling down the stairs. I ordered a $50 veal picatta. It arrived in a timely manner however I was extremely disappointed in the quality of the meal for the price. The veal was tough, and the picatta sauce tasted like it was Kraft Italian Dressing with capers mixed in. For $50. Overall it has potential but it just seems to be poorly managed. The wait staff was not uniform, there were two 14ish year old boys wandering around attempting to clear tables, the bussers were also seating people from time to time etc etc etc. I will not cross this place off my list as a never to visit again, but I would not recommend it for a "special" menu type of night as they seem to overinflate their prices without inflating the experience. Note to the owners: get a manager who knows what they are doing because it is clear that your current manager is either over their head or in the wrong field.

Arrived with friends from out of town and was told thirty minutes for a rooftop table. Got a round of drinks at the bar and began the wait. We were seated a little over an hour later. Waitress took our drink order and left. 15 minutes later she came to take our food order and promised the drinks and bread were on the way. Ordered appetizers and entrées and waited for drinks. 45 minutes after ordering, the drinks finally arrived. 15 minutes after ordering our food we were informed the kitchen had run out and two of us had to reorder. An hour after ordering the appetizer it arrived, and we asked one more time for bread which finally came an hour and 15 minutes after we sat down. After sitting for over two hours and receiving one round of drinks, some bread and an appetizer, I complained. I was told it would be 10 minutes on the food and they would comp us a round of drinks. We ordered the drinks and 20 minutes later there was no food, no drinks (my glass empty for close to an hour), no managers apology so we just walked out. Our nice dinner with out of town friends turned into a late night burger at a bar. I hope your experience is better, but if it’s a night that counts or you want to be special, I’d look some place else.

My husband and I used to love this place when we lived in Uptown. When it was Amore Victoria. It was our place when we lived there. I was so excited to take my parents and children the other day. We made reservations a few days before stating that we had kids. When we walked in the door there was someone at front, but she said nothing. Stood there and waited for us to say something. Very cold. She then, took a couple minutes gathering menus. Not prepared. Didnt say a word the entire time. Keep in mind. This was 3 in the afternoon. Not busy at all. Then she brought us to our table. Without saying a word. Awkward. We got calamari as an appetizer. It was all small pieces and mostly crumbs. They were out of milk for the kids. (Again, remember that I made reservations a few days ago stating 2 kids were coming. (3 and 5) When my kids did came, they brought it out on a scorching hot plate. All in all, i wanted to cry because I was embarrassed. I kept telling my parents and random people that they have to come here. Very sad that we will never go back. Beyond disappointed.
