Not sure how this place rates so high. Stopped in yesterday mid afternoon. No one else in the place and the frumpy server with zero personality couldnt rush us through fast enough. We waited 15-20 minutes for our food but the chicken was fresh, so that was fine. The chicken, however was bland. Crispy, yes, but not much flavor. When she delivered it to our sticky table, not a word. As she walked away, my wife said "thank you". Only the did she thank us. Broasted potato wedges were undercooked inside. Sour cream with some type of onion powder seasoning was okay at best. Cole slaw was identical to KFC. Just so-so. Dinner roll was blah. I dont need to go back.

Not sure why I waited so long to give them a well deserved 5 star review! Its my familys favorite place to eat. Weve been coming here for over 20 years. We moved over an hour away years ago and still make numerous trips back every year to say hi to the great staff and eat at our favorite restaurant! Theyve been doing it too long not to be the best! Everything tastes great, the beans, potatoes and chicken are the best Ive had. I hear their coleslaw is great too - Im more of a beans and potato guy. Try it - youll love it!

I was impressed by the flavor of the chicken. I would not say the wings are best in the state but they were very good. My coleslaw was cold, crunchy, and creamy_ a good combo for slaw (not to mention tasty). The potato fries lacked flavor but that did not stop what looked like a thriving take out business. I would go back but they need a good hot bucket of soapy water and do some scrubbing. Blue Dawn and hot water very inexpensive. Both staff/owners were incredibly friendly to everyone.

I was in dought about the quantity of food, I should have never second guessed the best chicken house around, large portions chicken breast,,cold slaw, Potato wedges,dinner roll and it was very fresh, the service was very friendly but yet professional. My friend and I were treated like we had been friends with them forever. We laughed flirted and laughed some more. WE ARE GLAD WE STORED THERE IT WAS WHAT PUT A SMILE ON MY FACE AND A FULL BELLY.

my wife and I were passing through Marshall and staying at the motel behind the store. we stopped in for lunch. we each got the special, one dark meat, one white meat. the food was hot, fresh. and tasty. the owner (older gentleman) was very friendly and helpful. he swapped out her coleslaw with potato salad, which was excellent as was the slaw. if we lived in the area, this would be a regular place for us to eat.

The food was so good! They have a "secret recipe" sour cream thats a touch oniony but delicious!! The price was very reasonable and we got a lot of food! Chicken was moist and tender, and the potatoes were yummy and crisp! The place itself could use a slight facelift, but the service and food outshone the rest!

My wife and I always stop here when we go through Marshall. They have good chicken at a decent price. The potato wedges are alright by themselves, but theyre excellent with their onion sour cream, and I dont even really like sour cream. If you like chicken, Id recommend stopping.

Friendly, hard working folks providing tasty food. Ready in 10 minutes. My boys and I always get the potato wedges and the heavenly sour cream you can only get there along with tasty chicken. Get extra sour cream :). All if it is just as tasty reheated in the oven. Great place!

The food is outstanding and you can not beat the price! I have never found broasted potatoes and sour cream that beat the Chicken Connection! I used to drive 95 miles just for their chicken!
