This was one of my families favorite spots to eat until Friday afternoon. I ordered online as I often do and when I went to pick it up only had to wait about five minutes. Got home and started serving my family plates. I tasted the mac and cheese and it was awful it tasted sour and you could tell that they had mixed in very old mac and cheese. The corn "juice" looked grey and so gross. I stopped my kids from tasting any of it because as soon as I bit down on the chicken you could tell it was not fresh. By this time my husband had also taken a few bites and came to the same conclusion, that the food was spoiled. I started packing everything up to return it but before I could leave my house I got extremely nauseated and threw up several times and guess what?? So did my husband. So when the vomiting stopped we drove out, returned the food for a refund. I let the manager know that the food tasted spoiled and old and that it had made me sick. She said "Oh sorry about that, here is your refund." She did not address the fact that I told her that the mac and cheese tasted spoiled and you could see old mac and cheese in the container. This really upsets me because it was my go to spot!

We went in there as a part of 4 a few days ago. The customer service and chicken were both great. The chicken was amazing and juicy and the staff was very friendly. I ordered the enchiladas which the corn tortillas were dry and there was no cheese. It tasted thrown together. The sauce was less than appetizing and had a kick to it. The sides and cobbler were less than good. The twice baked potatoes were hasbrowns that were rubbery and clumpy and no flavor. The creamed spinach was decent, but has hefty chunks of raw onion and it overwhelms the flavor of the spinach. The mac and cheese was overcooked macaroni and the cheese was all clumped in there and dry like cafeteria style not creamy at all. The veggie medly was diced zuccini with onion and peppers which was very over cooked and sauteed. The peach cobbler was soggy and unappetizing and tasted like a box of cake mix on top of peach filling that sat too long. The only reason im giving 3 stars is the chicken and staff were great, but all downhill from there.

My 1st time experience was horrible. I ordered through grub hub at 8:11 didnt receive my good until over a hr later. I ordered a monterrey Salad and that is not what I recieved. I asked for things to be left off the salad a completely different dressing, and added veggies and none of those things occured. I also ordered a side of fries .. extremely cold and soggy. I only ordered here based of of yelp reviews and pictures. I dont live in katy either so I didnt know what to expect. .. well I can tell you to stray away . When I called t ok leave a voice mail since they were closed, I started to talk and then heard a person on the other line breathing and laughing while my voice mail was recording and then they hung up thr phone. . Ridiculous, what kind of long running chain resturant treats customers that way. I will write a yelp review and grub hub review as well. So dissapointing.

Went here a week ago. Fair at best. I had a salad with my chicken, which was alright but had too much cilantro. The girlfriend complained that the corn she ordered was watery and tasted like it was in a can five minutes prior. The chicken itself was fine. The weird thing was that the restaurant smelled like they just mopped the floor with the mop water they opened the store with. They need to dump the water once it starts to turn dark grey. The staff was super friendly and keeps me from bringing it down to a two star, they really do try to make an enjoyable dining experience, they smile, and the atmosphere was nice (minus the smell) but between the odor and the bleh sides, I cant go any higher than three.

We were excited to try a new place but unfortunately we were not impressed. 1. No greeting upon arrival. 2. Tables covered in dirty dishes from prior guests. No one cleaned them even while we were there. 3. Food was cold to luke warm( at best). 4. I dont know what it was but their Mac and Cheese was NOT Mac and Cheese. 5. Chicken was okay. Nothing special. 6. Okra was not fresh. 7. Spanish rice was cold and not fresh. 8. Chicken enchiladas tasted microwaved with a warm sauce on top. 9. Condiments and cups were dirty. 10. Employees were present but zero interactions with guests after ordering. First and final visit.

first time here. decided I would order online and go pick it up. When I got there I went and stood at the online order pick up area, for about 10 minutes, while they helped the people waiting in line and getting people their food. I understand you were busy, but did i have to stand there for 10 minutes when i had already ordered and i my food had been sitting there since i came in. it seems like the point of ordering online is so you dont have to wait in line. if one person would have been working on to go orders they likely could have gotten back to helping everyone else in about 5 mins.

My wife and I tried it for the first time last night. We each got the quarter white with 2 sides. The chicken was juicy, tender and delicious. But the sides seemed a bit "institutionalized". The twice-baked potatoes were good - they are different in that they are not creamy but more like a tater tot texture (but without the crust). The green beans needed work though. They were crunchy and dry. No restaurant down south should have crunchy green beans. They were definitely not up to par with the southern-style offerings like the rest of the sides.

Im a regular to Cowboy Chicken. I love the bbq drumsticks and the Laredo sandwich with corn fritters is my usual order. The staff is especially helpful. I stopped in recently and Jack, one of the managers, was helpful in answering some questions I had about the catering menu. He also made me feel welcome, which is rare in most eating establishments these days. The people who left bad reviews on here are crazy, stop being so stuck up folks! Needless to say, I will continue to come here. Keep up the great work Cowboy crew!

I place an order online the wait time was between 30-45 min- well our food showed up 30 min. past our est. arrival time! I called and spoke w/Berry to share my frustration, he was apologetic and wanted to make it up to me. To my surprise he went out of his way showed up at my office with hot food and a gift card! Now that is customer service! The food is great as well! Thanks Berry for going out of your way to make sure we were happy! Will definitely be going back!

I just wasnt blown away by this place at all. The chicken was dry and didnt have a lot of flavor. We got take out including the tortilla soup but there werent spoons in the utensil packs. We also didnt get the side of BBQ sauce our sandwiches were supposed to come with, which didnt help the dry chicken situation. But the worse was the peach cobbler, it either had no dough at all or the dough wasnt cooked.
