I am the owner of Continental Cafe and would like to respond to the negative review from Mr. Nordval. Mr. Nordval came in several times to buy donuts for customers of his and always complemented me for the great donuts we sold to him. Never once did he ever say the donuts were stale and he always came back for more. He even commented that they were so good that he had to refrain from eating all of them himself. After a few times coming in and purchasing the donuts he asked if he could put his order on credit and I said that was fine but would have to leave credit card information in case something happened that the bill wasnt paid. He agreed. Well, after about a month of ordering donuts, he never came back to pay and I had to start calling him. The last time I spoke to him he said he would come in that Friday to pay the bill. He never showed and I had no choice but to charge his credit card. I waited through the weekend until Monday. This is why he is mad. Because he had no intentions of paying for the donuts, I think. He called and complained and I finally had to speak to his boss and I credited his credit card back and ran hers to satisfy the charge. She was great and apologized for Mr. Nordvals behavior. His review is utterly false through and through. I have never looked at these things but from now on I will to refute and dispute negative reviews that are so far from the actual truth.

Completely accidentally found this place while driving by on a morning to work. Walked in -- first thing you see are TONS of doughnuts! At least 20 different kinds and the price was great! Owner says hes been doing this for seven years. I bought a chocolate cream filled doughnut with a powdered sugar coating. The filling was light and fluffy, the outside had just a hint of crispiness and if that didnt make me lick my lips the powdered sugar was there for that. The homestyle chocolate frosted doughnuts I bought were equally as good. Seriously, if you want some good doughnuts and youre in the Coon Rapids/Blaine area youll be doing yourself a favor to stop in here. The only other doughnuts Ive eaten around here have been from gas stations. The people leaving negative reviews are just here to complain. More for the rest of us, if you ask me. :)

Ive been scoping this place for awhile since I drive in the area.... today I got a chance to try them out even though someone told me their donuts a very dry... I like to give places chances.... worst decision ever... I walk in and the man working doesnt even greet me so I say hello. He responds as if he doesnt want to serve me and says "can I help you". I repeat "hello"... he responds with a attitude "hello, how can I help you" in a super short tone.. I then start asking about the donuts and hes short and doesnt look at me... I bought a peanut cake donut and it was horrible... it tasted stale and super dry!!!! Ill never go here again

Weve been coming here for years for donuts. There are a lot of different kinds to choose from, and they arent too expensive. They also serve coffee and other food here, but Ive never stopped for it. The owner is friendly, but a bit quiet. I dont mind, hes a nice man and I think he works hard. Thanks for keeping it up for us!!

Doughnuts where good when. I had them how ever the guy "filling" in was a jerk in a huge hurry forgot about the Monday 2 bucks off and I called.in to ask about it he kept saying hes filling in and knows nothing .

We love Continental Cafes donuts. A great selection and they always have a pink sprinkled for our daughter. Stop in for a dozen and support a local small business! You wont be disappointed.
