Had been coming here for years consistently almost every Friday night. Always had great food and above average service! If you want great service ask for Nelly she always took great care of my family and whomever I brought along. Now if your following along youll notice a lot of past tense here. According to their "management" a man with a large mustache, bald head and a name that starts with an O they have switched food vendors and can no longer make certain items. Things like this happen and thats totally understandable; however after coming for multiple years; tipping excessively well and ordering the same delectable food item every time I thought that I would have received an apology with some class. Instead their "qualified" manger decided to take an aggressive stance towards my family and I while at the restaurant, insisting that it wasnt his "problem." In fact his audacity and manor by which he handled himself was appalling as all we were trying to do was get another item similar to the "Tacos Borachos." Needless to say Ill miss this place and I hope everyone else has a much better experience than myself. Was an absolute hidden gem in the Northwest metro; Ill resort to Taco Bell or Chipolte before I go back here.

My fellow employees and I decided to have our gathering at El Azteca for happy hour and such for a farewell to a colleague. The service was the worst that I have ever had. We were all planning on ordering food, but since we were such a big group, the El Azteca employees decided to ignore our table and treat us like garbage. I will NEVER go to another restaurant with the name El Azteca. And I vow to tell everyone I know how terrible the service is. This restaurant doesnt even deserve one star. I work in customer service and the majority of our group does as well. I can easily say that El Azteca knows NOTHING of what it takes to be in the customer service industry. The manager of our customer service department even asked to speak with the El Azteca manager on duty that evening and that individual never came out to speak with my manager. That tells you something, if the manager doesnt even care, why should the employees. AND, the food wasnt even worth waiting for.

Thee worst. Beans tasted like they were straight outtta the can. Even canned beans taste better in my opinion. Their menu items are really American. Its not authentic at all. I came here because it had good reviews. I expected a lot but I guess it wasnt Mexican enough for me ! Didnt even have traditional tacos or Mexican soups ! What kind of Mexicans restaurant doesnt ?! This one! Their salsas suck ! I have no idea who created the menu. But this is a review from a beaner ! So we know what good Mexican food is. But if youre Mexican and want delicious Mexican food.. Then this isnt the place for you ! Youll be disappointed. The service sucks too ! The place was empty and the server still took forever to attend us. And she didnt look to happy to be working either. Im glad I came to eat here before I invited my family to eat here! It wouldve been such a waste of money and time! AND I have no idea how this place has 4 stars. !!

Food was alright, but wow was the service bad. Our server took our order, but did not return again until about 15 minutes after we were done, cleared our plates then disappeared again for 20 more minutes before asking if we wanted our check (!). He said 3 words to us the whole time. He did, however, stop to chat up the lovely ladies next to us for most of that time. Service like that is the reason servers get stiffed on their tips. I certainly thought about it. The order taker in the Taco Bell drive-thru is friendlier. With other Mexican restaurants nearby that have good food and service, there is no reason for me to tolerate this level of bad service so I will not be back. Kind of disappointing too, they have a good menu and I used to like this place.

Weve eaten here about 25 times as we live close by. Lucky us! The food is unbelievably good and the portions are huge. Maybe its because we typically eat after 7:30 and by this time they have slowed down, but we almost always get our food in around 7 minutes. I absolutely love their salsa too! Sometimes we add a little extra hot sauce from the table to give it a little kick. Its the bomb! I cant really say anything bad other than I leave feeling extremely full almost every time. Order the fajitas or enchiladas and you wont be disappointed. Service is good too. Ask for Oscar, he will take care of you.

I ordered the shrimp fajitas and spent all night in the bathroom. I also couldnt sleep and lost a full night of sleep waking up every two hours to take another trip to the bathroom. This wasnt the flu, this was food poisoning which I have had on one other occasion, so I know what it is. I have eaten here 4 other times with no issues, but after this, I will NEVER go back. I will never order a seafood food at a Mexican restaurant ever again either.

Nightly food specials and authentic Mexican food. Great value! We order the Chori Queso Dip, then we order the Parrilladas Platter for 2. For $22.95, you get a grilled chicken breast, rib eye steak, Mexican sausage, carnitas - pork, rice and beans. The carnitas is the best Ive ever had!! Its Served with guacamole salad, sour cream, tortillas and two cheese quesadillas!! We ALWAYS end up taking A LOT of food home for leftovers.

I have been coming to El Azteca for many years now, and I have had nothing but the BEST service and food around. The staff here is so friendly and inviting, it truly feels like a family here. The food always comes out fast and in a timely manner. The food is also very authentic and delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking authentic Mexican cuisine. P.s. Ask for Roberto he is an amazing and fun server!

Very disappointed in the food and the service. We ordered food for take-out. One of the items was missing. The enchiladas were cold - there was some cold chicken inside the tortilla and a little sauce on the outside. The Steak and Cheese Burrito was cold as well. When you cut into it - cold shredded cheese fell out. The steak was cold and stringy. It is like the items were barely cooked. What a waste of money.
