Dont waste your time with this place. Youd likely be better off going to Dennys or Steak n Shake. Last night a friend and I were greeted very unenthusiastically at the front door, as if we were burdening them with our service. However, we pulled through and proceeded to give it a chance to get better. WRONG. Our original waiter seemed extremely bothered by our presence specifically, but was fine with the table directly behind us? (Mind you the people seated behind us fell into the same age group as us and everything.) For starters, he sat us without so much as introducting himself. He let out a very exaggerated sigh walking away from the table after asking if we knew what wed like to drink and since we apparently couldnt decide fast enough, although the table behind us and our table were the only people there at the time, he said hed bring us water until wed decide, which made my friend and I feel more like an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. About 5 minutes later, he approached our table after another waitress, Cheryl, entered the building and more or less tossed us over to her. After we placed our order, the food was brought to us after about 10 minutes. My friends eggs were wrong and she politely asked for a correction. Cheryl went back to the cook to have him correct it and after a couple minutes he silently, seemingly with an attitude came to our table and delivered the eggs. He walked away without so much as an apology and even looked over at our original waiter and made a snarky comment right in front of us! Over the summer, I never had issues with this location, however, after last nights experience, I can guarantee my friend and I will not be returning. Not to mention our waitress must have passed our table several times with our noticeably empty glasses of lemonade, and never bothered to ask if we needed a refill. Hire people with good experience in customer services or train them properly! Extremely disappointed.

FOOD POISONING My family and I went to IHOP in sterling Heights on Friday, April 17th about 9am. My wife and I had the same breakfast and splitted with our small children. We had the breakfast that comes with eggs, meat, hashbrowns and the Strawberry Creme French Toast. My children had the french toast but my wife asked for the strawberry and creme on the side. My wife and children did not eat the strawberry topping. I ate the Strawberry toppings on my French Toast. Later that afternoon, about 1:30p I started feeling sick. I felt so sick that I had to go to the Emergency Room because I had FOOD POISONING. Only thing I had was breakfast and thats all I was sick from. I have been sick all weekend. My wife tried calling that location on Saturday morning to warn them about the Strawberry Sauce they are using to avoid any other customers from getting sick. But she was put on hold for a long time and when she tried to call back, no one answered. My wife called back Sunday morning and spoke with a manager, and explained what happen and the Manager said "that he could not have gotten sick here, it must have been something he ate the night before. We have fresh Strawberries". The managaer was not concerned about looking into how the food was stored or if it was possible that I have received a bad batch or any concern for the health of customers coming in. Corporate was not open on the weekend so I will have to call them on Monday since the manager did not have a concern for patrons maybe corporate will. It is sad when you can not even call to warn a restaurant about a potential health risk and for them not to be concern. We definitely will not be back to any location.

2 1/2 stars- arrived approx 9:30 am saturday morning- just in time to get an available seat- when we left 1 hour later there was a line of people waiting 2 b seated. hadnt been 2 an iHop in years- joined my brother 4 breakfast- check for 2 people was approx $22 not including tip_ 2 coffees, 1 omelette and 1 french toast. brother ordered steak omelette_ which was HUGE and looked very good_ BUT he offered me 1 bite and it had a very hard piece of gristle bone in it- almost hard enough to break a tooth- definitely unable to chew/consume. my silverware was spotty/dirty. i ordered strawberry/banana french toast. the picture made it look like fresh strawberries and banana slices- but the strawberries were in some kind of sickly sweet glaze which was spread over the french toast- i could only eat 1/2 of 1 slice. the waitress was nice. even though we had eaten less than 1/2 the food she did not offer carry out containers- we had to ask when she presented the check. i wish i had taken pictures 2 show you- but i completely 4got about these google map reviews i was contributing to.. i would not go back- i would not recommend- there r other restaurants that serve breakfast that cost less than $11 and where the food is better and the serving staff is more observant of customers needs_ IE: saw me cleaning silverware- did not offer clean silverware or extra napkin> saw all the food we did not eat but did not offer take out containers.

Ive had bad service at this IHOP location before but the service I received today was by far the worst Ive been treated. When we ( the 2 of us) entered the restaurant was not very busy ( we arrived around 2:40 PM). When seating us the hostess told us there were no more booths left and though we preferred a booth, agreed to sit at a table. When she seated us there was only one couple behind us waiting to be seated. She put us at a table right next to an open booth. In addition, there was at least one other open booth just on our side of the restaurant. In both booths she seated the other two couples (2 people at each booth). We proceeded to wait 10 minutes before anyone came to get our drink order, then 4 different waiters came to get our drink order. We waited another 5 minutes to get our drinks. As we were receiving our drinks the table of 2 seated AFTER us got their food. We waited a total of 20 minutes without any waiter coming to get our food order at which point we decided to pay for our drinks and leave. The staff was very unorganized, and did not communicate amongst themselves. Instead of doing their jobs, they wandered aimlessly among the tables trying to figure out which waiter should go where. I love their food, and am normally forgiving, things happen, but after poor service several times in a row I will not be returning to this IHOP location again.

Felt somewhat bad for the manager/host and our waitress. There was a 10 minute wait to be seated even though the restaurant was half empty. This was due to not enough cooks apparently. The manager got yelled at by some guy for this. Once we were seated, a boisterous server greeted us. She was obviously stressed, overly apologetic for no reason and explaining how busy she was to each table. "Ill be RIGHT back honey. I need to grab their drinks and there are a bunch of plates ready to go out." The food was OK. The pancakes were bomb, of course, but my eggs & bacon were suspect. What really bugged me was that she brought out my 3 kids plates first, told me mine would be out soon, but never gave us silverware. So here are my kids, staring at their pancakes, licking the whip cream and noone was around. Finally the manager walks by and I ask for some silverware and he drops off 3 sets to my kids but none to me, so when my waitress brings out my food I need to ask her for silverware. To top it all off, my 4 year old left a few bites of pancakes which I went to try, and saw a short hair on the plate. It very well could have been his, but who knows? Ewww....
