This place is in serious need of a new manager or owner. Im actually surprised they are still in buisness. Today was my 3rd time eating here. The first 2 xs were Sunday mornings and I chalked the 45 min to hr wait for my food up to they were just busy, and the servers told us both times the kitchen was short staffed. Today (Sat morning around 10 45) the place wasnt really busy there were several open tables in the back room. We were seated within 10 min and placed our order at 11. At 11 05 people were seated behind us and ordered after we did. At 11 30 my kids were getting wrestles and hungry. We asked the waitress if our food was close to being done she said it should be and she would check on it. 10 min later still no food. We asked to talk to the manager and were told she would be out shortly. Meanwhile the table behind us was finished with their food and our waitress was telling us any minute. 5 min later 2 of the kids meals came out. 10 min later another meal came out and then another 5 min before the rest. So totally over an hour. The Hash browns were dried up and couldnt even be eaten, the quiche was totally dried up. We asked again for the manager when a girl walked by and asked what she can do for us with a pissed off look on her face. We asked if she was the manager she said not really, we again asked and were told that the manager left and they were backed up. In the meantime people were getting up and walking out without having eaten. They finally took 1/2 off our bill which still doesnt fix the situation. When we left they locked the door and put a sign out they were closing early today, while multiple customers were still leaving without having eaten and very upset. While talking to some of them in the parking lot several people were trying to get in and could not because the door was locked. Lucky them however this was at noon they are suppose to be open until 2 30. To top off the whole experience one of the cooks or servers came out of the kitchen chomping on gum like a cow. I work in food service and this is totally unacceptable. I do not want someone chewing gum over my food especially with an open mouth. I will never return to this restaurant and will tell everyone I know to stay away as well. Someone needs to be in charge. I actually feel bad for the waitresses that they had to deal with this on their own. Poor management and ownership.

I enjoy eating at most of the Sunny Street locations, but this location needs big time training in customer service and management needs to figure out how to properly staff a restaurant. I thought our less than desirable experiences would improve since some time has passed since they opened, but we stopped in today for lunch at 11am and had the worst experience yet there. The restaurant was half empty and there was no one waiting at the check in stand when we arrived. Within a few minutes, there were several customers lined up at the door to put their name in and my party was at the front of the line. We were told 3 times by 3 different employees rushing by that "someone will be right with you." Waited another 10 minutes and someone finally came and took the names of everyone in line and then disappeared. Another 10 minutes later, we were finally seated and the person that seated us left and never came back. They did not provide my daughter with the childrens menu and we never had an opportunity to ask for one. After waiting another 15 minutes, no one had come back to even take our drink order. We got up and left and nobody said a word to us as we walked out. We went down to Noodles & Co., were promptly and enthusiastically greeted by staff and had hot food at our table within 5 minutes. I understand if they were busy/short staffed but you at the very least acknowledge how long your customer has been waiting. My family will never return to this Sunny Street location and doubt theyll remain open for business if these practices continue.

I will NEVER be returning to this terrible place ever again! Management is horrible, the kitchen is slow, the food is cold and takes over an hour to make it to your table. The waitress was very nice and apologetic, however, the food took over an hour to come out. We asked for a manager over and over again and the waitress kept telling us hed be by soon. After two hours of waiting for him (we were here for a while because our food took so long) she came by and apologized constantly and we knew it wasnt her fault but we wanted to see a manager, and get an apology from him for how this place was ran. It was about 1:30 and the restaurant had been clearing out and he still hadnt come to talk to us. We saw him up front, he didnt look busy at all and she said we could see him on our way out but I refused because what kind of place makes you go to the manager????? He obviously did not care enough about the customers to find some time to even apologize! Will not be returning to this place. Would not recommend it to others. Not only is this place a waste of your time, but its a complete waste of space!!!!

My family and i went almost every weekend when it opened. Today we stood for almost 45 minutes waiting on a table. Dealt with an extremely rude waitress named Terri who bumped into my husband numerous times without saying sorry or excuse me, spoke with a manager who said he would get the table cleared off for us (yea we still hadnt been seated) another 10 minutes goes by and the table still wasnt cleaned! We ended up leaving and i made sure the manager knew how frustrated with us, and i hear the rude waitress yell "uh oh its getting personal" how professional is that??? Thank you to Beverly the hostess who actually apologized and told me she knows im always there and that she was so sorry... thats the only reason there is 1 star.

DISPITE WHAT THE REVIEW SAYS I WAS NOT THERE IN THE LAST WEEK. ITS BEEN A WHILE, I HAD TO DECIDE IF I WANTED TO GIVE THE REVIEW. IM GLAD I DECIDED TO LEAVE FEEDBACK. BOTH, MY WIFE AND I , GOT SICK FROM EATING AT SUNNY STREET CAFE. I HAVE NEVER SEEN BROWN GRITS. THE COLOR SHOULDNY MATTER. BUT THE TASTE WAS BEYOND NASTY. I ORDERED A SMALL CUP OF FRUIT. IT WAS SPOILED! TOTAL BREAKFAST, WITH A FAIR TIP WAS $28.00. THEY GOT ME ONCE, NEVER AGAIN. AFTER READING OTHER REVIEWS. MANAGEMENT KEEPS SAYING THAT THEY WILL WORK HARDER. DISINGENUOUS STATEMENTS DONT HELP. IN MOST ANYOTHER RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT WILL OFFER TO COMP YOUR MEAL. I WOULDN TAKE A FREE MEAL IF OFFERED, THEY DIDNT OFFER. S T A Y A W A Y!!!!!!

We really love this place. The food is wonderful. Tina and I have tried this place and we really liked it so much that now Cathy Held and I try to go here once a week for breakfast we have a fabulous waitress. Her name is Lisa Jones she is awesome very friendly and courteous. We have a good time with her she makes us laugh. The link sausage is the best and the eggs are always cooked to order and very fast service. I definitely would recommend this place. This restaurant was recommended to me by Kit Lang and Marilyn Castle. I give this restaurant five stars
